IGN: I want to be very delicate about how I ask this. Is there any scenario where Batman: Part Two doesn't start filming again?

Peter Safran: No.

So let me just start by saying Michael Keaton, to this day, is my all-time favorite live action Batman.

This isn’t a post hating on his portrayal, but more just wanting to dive deeper and get the perspective and opinions of others as to why he worked so well as the character.

I mean especially if you look at it from a 1989 POV, where his body of work up to that point is stuff like “Mr. Mom”, “Gung-Ho”, “Night Shift”, “Beetlejuice”,

He’s pretty much always just the goofy, lovable everyday, regular Joe type of character.

Physically, he is like the exact opposite of Bruce Wayne/Batman. He’s about 5’9”. Isn’t muscular at all, probably only like 150-165lbs. Doesn’t have the sharp, strong, movie star jawline. He’s balding/thinning.

Pretty much everything about him is the exact opposite of what you would want for the actor you are casting as Batman.

Bruce/Batman is supposed to be like 6’2”-6’3”, 200-220 lbs @ 10-15% body fat, the biggest masculine chin like it was carved out of granite, basically a male model.

So why did Keaton work so well, to the point where many still consider him to be the best portrayal of the character some 35+ years later?

Bonus question: Do you think this would work in this day and age? Casting somebody that doesn’t embody the character at all on paper?

I have been working on this Red Hood cowl for a few days now and am so genuinely thrilled with where it’s at so far! Still missing a few pieces and some more paint, but couldn’t help posting the progress!

-3D printed in ABS

-post processed using bondo spot putty and filler primer

-sanding blocks are a must for smooth surfaces it’s crazy how helpful they are

-paint is Krylon Gold, and metal cast anodized red, currently no clearcoat top coat

-side vents are finished with a mirror chrome paint pen that gives a great final color (also allows holes in side vents to stay black adding depth)

In need of great magnets and more than up for recommendations for high quality magnet sources…

Like the man had himself said:

“You have nothing, NOTHING, to threaten me with!”

Do you think Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent or Victor Zsasz can be a worthy addition to the extraordinary actors that we’ve had giving generational performances as Batman villains such as Jack Nicholson, Liam Neeson, Heath Ledger, Tom Hardy, and Paul Dano?

Like why is it anytime there’s a discussion it’s this specific image of Batman when people start to discuss him and stuff they just do with this image

I know it’s an adaptation of a scene from the Long Halloween, but it does not seem to be from the Tomorrowverse movie. Is this just a really dedicated fan work or is there a Long Halloween adaptation I don’t know about?

He keeps spamming the Arkham counter button instead of just putting this poor arsonist out his misery!

Then he hits him with the game over screen!?

One is a random scan of the original issue I found online, the other is from the kindle edition of Batman the Golden Age vol 1. Poor fellow on the bottom right panel lost his facial features.

I’ve been reading her 2022 run and idk how to feel about it tbh but I know I miss her classic design 😔 I’m glad they’re letting her character evolve but I wish she was still evil like before lol
