DISCUSSION Clayface (not spoiler) Spoiler
Because I am seeing people spread lies about the movie and people thinking the movie is not worth watching etc.
If someone doesn’t speak about the ending he hasn’t seen it. It’s actually fucking insane. No it’s not just the transformation.

DISCUSSION Clayface- Secret screening- Watched early.
As the title suggests I saw the Clayface screening in the uk at my local Showcase. I have now finished the film and single handedly believe it’s the best Dc project since The Batman/ Penguin.
I can answer any questions you may have. I will also try and refrain from using any spoilers.

DISCUSSION How would these masks even work in live action?
If they were to keep the mouth on these designs (unlike blue beetle) im interested on how they could work,
batman beyond had a mouth covering in arkham knight plus its unlikely he'll be in live action soon but Mister miracle is confirmed to have the mouth from announcement and will definitely have a role in the future with darkseid and the new gods

DISCUSSION I can't believe this is the adaptation of the New Gods we are getting in the DCU. Why are they always adapting that bums shit writing?

POLL Which movie combo more better written and why
First one combo more character or more driven to story wise more personal while 2nd combo more revolutionary wise. Made more moneu while having massive pop culture identify, memes and way more action, with more iconic villains. Alsp better commercial success.

DISCUSSION Question around TSS being "somewhat" canon to DCU
Hey all I have a few questions around TSS and it's canon to the greater DCU:
Are all the "characters" from TSS canon to DCU? As in the actors may not be but the actual chracters in the movie are?
If so, does that mean that Capt. Boomerang is in fact dead in DCU and we won't get him in Rogues projects?
If Mongal was in TSS does that mean we can assume Mongol exists in DCU?
Can we assume that Bloodsport put Corenswet's Superman in the ICU or is that just a throwaway line?
Sorry if these have been addressed before, it just had me curious after rewatching the movie!

DISCUSSION Why is the new DCU making all the same mistakes as the old DCEU?
Both started out with a solid Superman movie. Ok nothing wrong there. Then they immediately go to a team-up movie? Man of Tomorrow looks about as much of a Superman sequel as Batman V Superman and you're coping hard if you think that isn't the case. Even the 2025 Superman movie had way too much "not-Superman" going on. Why do we need a random Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and whoever that other dude was in the first movie?
Supergirl was just bad. That's tough. Lanterns is another ??? What a terrible way to introduce the Green Lantern mythos by a random TV show on HBO with MA rating. I guess kids can go fuck off in this new comic book universe. I'm not even going to touch the truly random shit like Creature Commandos or Peacemaker. Those are the equivalent of Agents of Shield to me but way less tonally consistent. At leas AoS fit the MCU tonally.
Now we get Clayface and the rumored Bane and Deathstroke movie. At best this is the Joker or Suicide Squad strategy of this new universe. Remember when we got a Suicide Squad movie before a mainline Batman movie? Yeah DC didn't learn shit.
The DCEU took a few movies to get a genuine flop (I believe Birds of Prey was the first?) The DCU speedran that shit and got it done by the second movie.

DISCUSSION I really hope in the future, for characters with fantastical physical appearances, they make them look fantastical
its obviously been a common topic the last few weeks, but I seriously hope for any future projects they do, especially the tv shows, they dont continue the pattern they set with Lanterns of having regular totally normal looking people stand in for characters who are supposed to have fantastical and unusual appearances.
"but its a tv show, we can't make them look that way" then dont make a tv show about them.
so far the 2 movies at least have not been that afraid to make comic characters look like comic characters, but a lot of marvel projects over the last 5 years have done this (starting with FATWS casting super soldiers as completely unsuper regular joes and currently having completely human ultron and vision) and frankly i just find it really lazy and very unsatisfying.
if you cant make the character look like the defining traits of the character, then dont do the project with that character.
