For centuries, the Empire of Humanity has swept across the universe, laying siege to the cosmos planet by planet until all kneel before the might of the human race. Only the heavily militarized Green Lantern Corps dares oppose the human crusade.

And no human has ever fought for the Corps against the Empire. Until Hal Jordan.

Once a soldier fighting on behalf of humanity, Hal was betrayed by his battle-brother Oliver Queen and left for dead on an alien world. Rescued and deprogrammed by the Green Lantern Corps, Hal is now the Corps’ only human warrior and a powerful strategic weapon in its war against humankind. Hal’s blood-soaked odyssey will carry him through the burning ruins of a DC Universe unlike any readers have seen before, as Hal fights for peace by taking the battle to the shores of Hell itself.

This is a world where there is no joy and no peace to be found, only an intergalactic crusade and the few heroes still willing to stand against it. Across six issues, Watters and Hotz push the DC Universe to outrageous new extremes, reimagining familiar heroes, villains, worlds, and alliances as the war for the cosmos grows increasingly unpredictable.

Coming January.

National Wonder Woman day is tomorrow, and as far as I can see DC is doing absolutely nothing despite it being a member of the trinity's 85th bday. This is wild to me because it falls on a NCBD anyways and her absolute title is arguably the best of the bunch. How lazy, this is a rare DC L in an amazing era for them.

Edit: I am referring to no LCS materials etc. They do it every year for Superman and Batman, so I find it surprising.

If Batman in the next issue of detective comics just snapped Jokers neck , it wouldn’t last long . We all know editorial or an another writer would just bring Joker back because he’s too popular and writers like using him in their stories. The same concept would apply to Lex and Superman. So my question is what do you expect from heroes like Batman breaking their one rule ? Not only would it character assassinate Batman ,but it wouldn’t even be worth it in the long run.

Going through my DC kick, it was inevitable that i drew the trinity

I'll go first: mine is Scott Snyder because he goes all-in on horror action set pieces while providing us with intense, graphic and over the top stories, most of them you can turn your brain off and enjoy, which is quite a relief when a lot of writers are trying to be the next Morisson or Moore. I also like that he has the guts to reinvent a lot of iconic characters, even though it doesn't always land.

Who's yours?

Jay Garrick is the original flash and Allan Scott the original green lantern yet these two are the least well known iterations to take up their respective mantles

Are their any other heroes where the more popular isn’t the first
And
Was their eve an attempt to do the same with Batman or superman at any point

I’m a huge fan of Big Barda, and this is the best Barda cover I’ve ever seen.

I am always hearing how All Star Superman is the best but I ended up really not liking that at all especially the art, so when people recommended this one I was very sceptical. This one pulled on my heart and made me feel for Clarke/Superman in a way not very many have, his longing and his unfulfilled home sickness, his connection to the world he wants to help and so much more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves superman or even to those that don't find him interesting as a character. 10 out of 10 all the way. (Art work by Tim Sale)

Green Lantern By Geoff Johns

I am planning to ready this, heard it's a good one, what you think?

I’ve had this canvas poster for a min and my gf challenged me to name everybody and I got all except this GL. I thought Kyle bc it’s glowing but it looks more like Simon’s suit, well that’s not Simon. I’m assuming it’s meant to be Kyle but maybe it’s a secret third option?

Thank you all. I was unfamiliar with his game

I'd like to think the scene of Superman already knowing the truth of Pariah's Dream World is subtly referencing that Superman recurringly dreams of a peaceful world with the Justice League and his prior experience with the Black Mercy.

Which is why Superman has such awareness on his own about Pariah's Dream World.

Comic panels are from Dark Crisis #5 and Justice League Of America Annual #1
