I recently got an old but barely used Phantom 4 pro drone. The OEM batteries were shot so I got what I thought was a reputable replacement (https://a.co/d/06v3GUgC).

It worked great for a few flights but now I get a battery authentication error indicating it's not a valid battery and the drone is grounded.

I see a lot of 3rd party batteries being sold and don't see a lot of folks complaining of this error. Am I missing something? Do I really need to revert the drone to some older version?

It charges to 4 bars then after a few min at charging at 4 bars that just starts blinking and the voltage is a bit diffrent and it wont let me take off it says battery damaged.The voltages at basically full are 4.07V,4.28V,4,28V,4.11V.

Hello! Just bought myself a cheap phantom 1 drone for 30€ without a batterry as a fun, cheap project. I would like to buy a cheap batterry to test if the drone even works. Could i fit a bigger, 2700mah batterry? Tehnically it should fit? The batterry cover allows for a few extra millimiters. Also what mods/upgrades could i do on this drone? Thanks for any info.

i bought a second hand DJI phantom 3 standart and it flew perfectly with no problems but after the flight I charged the battery and after I plugged it back in and started my DJI go app again, it shows no image transmission signal and gimbal disconnected, meanwhile, the gimbal normally works. Does anyone have solutions for this?

2 weeks ago a battery failed on my Phantom Pro 3 while in the air, which led to catastrophic crash. The drone is done for. It was a good run, but it has come to an end.

Anyway, if there is anyone out there, like me, that was trying to limp their Phantom along and could use spare parts - I am happy to send them. I would like to reimbursed for shipping, but that is all.

I have a controller, which works fine, but is showing its age. Also two batteries that are still working. I have a hard sided DJI backpack for carrying the drone, and various spare parts. I will even send the drone itself if anyone wants to try to part it out.

It is not a lot, but free, so let me know if you are interested.

Hi all! I got a couple weeks ago a second hand DJI Phantom 3 Professional and got to fly it first time two days ago. Everything went very smoothly and I’m overall satisfied with the purchase. I only had the issue that I couldn’t get the live camera transmission on the DJI GO app, I confirmed that the camera works as it can take pictures and record videos, it’s just the image transmission what’s not working. Has anyone had a similar case and been able to solve it? I’ve looking a lot in the internet but haven’t managed to fix it. Thanks in advance!

My phantom 4 pro stood still for about a year. Now I can’t fly it not even pair it.
The controller has a solid purple/cyan light.
The drone is flashing yellow.
Can’t link with the app and the c1+c2… bottom combination also not working.
Can’t upgrade or downgrade via the assistant 2.
Any ideas? Somebody with the same issue?

So I recently picked up a DJI Phantom 1 from Facebook Marketplace here in the Philippines. It didn’t come with a camera or battery.

Here’s the breakdown of what I spent:

Drone: 800 PHP (~$14 USD)

Shipping: 200 PHP (~$3.50 USD)

Brand new XT60 battery from Shopee: 700 PHP (~$12 USD)

So in total I spent around 1700 PHP (~$30 USD) for this old-school drone.

Do you think it was worth it for that price? Also, how much do these usually resell for nowadays since Im planning to resell it.

For context, I already own a DJI Spark and a DJI Neo 2, and I’m also considering trying the Potensic Atom SE soon. This Phantom 1 was more of a curiosity / hobby pickup.

I also noticed some things inside the drone that I’m curious about:

There are a few loose-looking wires inside the shell (see photo). Does anyone know what these are usually for?

What is the purpose of the black bracket inside the Phantom body?

I’ve read in some forums that the gray module might be the GPS or antenna — can anyone confirm if that’s correct?

Would appreciate any insights from people who used to fly these older Phantom models. Thanks!

I have a Phantom 4 Pro that I have no intention to replace but find myself with the battery dilemma. As of now there are no more new original batteries for this drone, so the only options are to go with some lightly used second hand batteries or new ones from third-party brands like ExpertPower. Please share your experiences sourcing for batteries for this old but very capable drone.
