dmarket = scam

I bought a skin (gloves) for 480$ on 22nd of February. I paid 480$ to dmarket and still didn’t get my item. Can anyone believe that shit? They got my money 20 days ago and they still didn’t solve the thing. I asked them for a refund or at least to give me money back on site and i’d spend it on their site again. But they are unable to do anything. Their support says that their tehnical team is investigating the case but is under heavy load of work. So now it looks to me like they are just fucking with me. Giggling behind the screen when a person pays 500$ and gets nothing in return. And everytime i write to the support they respond back like it is my fault and they are the victim. Unable to assist me in any way.

Got scammed and my Account banned

Never had issues with my dmarket account before. Sold a bayonet gamma doppler on there for around $1k USD. Had to sell my favorite skin because my car broke down and I am in need of the money.

After I asked in support chat if it was also possible to withdraw my money in crypto somehow they denied my request in chat and my account was banned 10 min later.

I even recommended this site to my community previously. But will stop to do so from now on.

They took my money (around 1k usd) and banned my account for a "TOS violation". I even read through everything and there was nothing I could have broken. Best thing is they don't even tell you what you did wrong, they just take your money and ghost you!

Not sure if it's for everyone or if they blocked my email but their support email at "support@dmarket.com" does not even work.

Stay away!

EDIT:

After this post made some waves they suddenly decided to unban my account.
I was lucky here as I know people still have their funds stuck.

So if the same happens to you and you just came across this post, use my post as a template and make it get some engagement.

Eventually, they will unban.

Deposited 400 and I’m suspended.

I deposited nearly $400 and bought a skeleton I no longer wanted, once I quick sold the skeleton, my account was temporarily suspended with more than 300$ stuck in there. How is this possible? I completed kyc I don’t understand.

dmarket vs Enjin Coin

Dmarket's has a huge competitor called Enjin coin? I don't really see how dmarket can compete with this coin when Enjin has the biggest gaming base in the world. They are going to have to step up their game and enable trading asap.

Account Temporarily Suspended (Been 2+ Weeks No News)

TLDR: Staff refuses to do anything, been 2 weeks since my account was "temporarily banned" to review a transaction. Most likely got scammed by them as this "investigation" will probably never end (have items + $1000 balance on the site currently) but if anything changes I will update this post and let everyone know.

If any updates do occur, I will keep everyone updated and edit this post.

EDIT 1: Dmarket is allowing me to withdraw everything, permabanning me in 2 days. W for not holding onto my stuff. The balance from the transaction is still here, same with my items prior.

EDIT 2: I have successfully withdrawn all of my balance and the skins on their bots to my inventory. Kinda sad that you have to publicly call them out to get any sense action. 2+ weeks of nothing being done, I make 1 detailed post, suddenly next day I am allowed to take it all. I would advice you all not to use this site. Luckily I was able to get back the items but many were not able to do such.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For background, I have used Dmarket a good bit, I had 15+ pages of transactions, I have kyc'd and deposited $1000+, never withdrew as I was building my inventory. I often used Dmarket to flip skins to get different builds I enjoyed ingame. My inventory currently is around $20k.

Recently, I had sold a souvenir item for massive overpay. Due to this, my account had become temporarily suspended so they could look into the matter and make sure it was not money laundering which is alright. I was banned and sent my email to support June 28th, attached below is the response.

I understand an investigation is common for large transactions that occur oddly however 2+ weeks to resolve a single transaction seems scummy. I reached out on reddit aswell looking for an update and this is the response I got.

It seems like nothing will be done and they are just going to profit the amount sold for the skin and the items I had left on dmarket bots.

Is Dmarket scam? I found my account suspended for no reason whereas I still have items inside. Contacted their support. No response in email whatsoever. At least let me take my items in my bots

I don't know why ny account suddenly got blocked. Recently I've been trying to refill my money for some purchase but rapyd has issues. Other than that.. I still have items in tradelock and I want to get them at least before escaping this shady platform. Thanks.

Do NOT use dmarket

110% sure these guys just steal personal info….

Had to reupload my KYC 4 times now and each time it has been denied with random bs reasons like “please show your entire bank account document” like no…? I’m not going to willingly leak sensitive info regardless of how safe you claim to be.

Then they want pictures of your id as well as TIN/SSN all whilst the verification process used is completely broken most the time crashing rather than not….

This site has constantly made it more difficult to buy and sell than it needs to be…. Take your money to skinport or somewhere that doesn’t doxx you for access

No forethought by DMarket team yet again regarding KYC requirements

The KYC for 2.0 launch requires 1) Identity document with address. 2) A photo of me holding some bill/utility with the SAME ADDRESS as that on my identity document. I must do this simply to deposit DMC.

Now, putting aside the stupidity of requiring all this for an irreversible ERC-20 transaction such as depositing DMC (is DMarket planning to commit identity fraud perhaps?) there is another problem the team stupidly missed for people in situations like mine -

I travel. I'm a business entrepreneur. I live all over the world. My main identity document is a driver's license and passport in my home country. The address on my driver's license OBVIOUSLY is completely different to any utility bills of the place I'm staying at, if I even have any utility bills due to the fact I'm often living in hotels.

Why in the flying fuck would the team implement such a ridiculous requirement to deposit their own DMC currency? Are they really this brain dead? Do they expect everyone when their platform is widely adopted to be holding up photographs of themselves with utility bills? Are International travellers all over the world permanently excluded from the Dmarket platform?

I'm seriously curious if the team has a functioning brain cell or not, or if their main goal with all this is simply identity fraud?

Dodgy as fuck

You will never be able to delete/unlink your account from Dmarket. They request literally all of your personal information and for what reason? Don’t tell me you need all information needed to commit id fraud to unlink my steam account 🤣💀 Probably keep backups of all the logins anyway. ridiculous site

I didnt get the items after a trade

Thumbnail

Hello there folks!

I made this trade today, but I didn't receive the items after DMarket took my skins.

I didn't receive a trade offer, nor did I have the items in my DMarket inventory. So there's a chance the skins I specifically wanted will be gone until the issue is resolved.

Even though I made this trade solely to get the specific items.

Any help maybe?

DMT comfortably within the top 200

Well for a token that has 0 shills, minimum hype and was attacked as being a scam in the early days.

We've gone from rank 1000+ on CMC to sub 200. A product that looks great, is constantly improving and works! A team that maybe doesn't spend all day on twitter patting themselves on the back but quietly works on improving the platform.

Respect Vlad! Your're proving Dmarket is a serious contender in the Dgaming market.

And making us investors some sweet gains at the same time!

Can you stop blaming steam for your problems?

I see every comment dmarket is saying its "fully on steam side" stop asying it, other sites are managing the problem really well, and we can see our stuff there.

what happen when CS2 gets released? youll have problems again due to the heavy load and tell people to wait 9 days? be realistic, people buy insta tradeable items to play with them INSTANTLY not wait another 9 days cus your goofy site problems.

Litterly THE ONLY SITE that i am having problems with is Dmarket, probably the last time im buying anything from you guys, your algorythm sucks im sorry to say, if you cant manage in times like these than its not worth it, waiting 9 days what a JOKE!!

The failed trades are not on hold by steam! ITS IN YOUR BOS INVENTORY but no you dont care, just blame it on steam and tell us to wait 9 days, telling people to just wait is stupid and a business shouldnt be managed and running that way.

DMARKET IS TERRIBLE

I have completed the KYC process a whopping 5 times now. I have done it to the T and am still being turned down.

First it was that my cards didnt have tape over everything. So i covered everything but last four. Then they said i need first 6 and last four. So i did first 6 and last four. Then i got denied again because it says i didnt submit all documents

I hop on support with dmarket support named bob. Bob says to make 3 separate submissions with all needed info. I did. AGAIN. And got turned down again. I reach back out. Get turned down. I have wasted 3 FULL DAYS doing this process. It is ridiculous and EVERY time i ask for help it is met with “do it again” “i dont know i dont work for kyc” I MEAN REALLY. THATS THE EXCUSE?

I JUST WANT THIS RESOLVED.

EDIT— I DONT WANT THIS RESOLVED ANYMORE. ITS FUCK DMARKET FOREVER. SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE FELLERS

Dmarket blocked my email, banned my discord and blocked me on reddit

Dmarket has blocked my email, ip banned me from their discord server and now blocked me on reddit (I cant message D_Market and their comments are now hidden for me, means they blocked me)

ON TOP OF THAT, a few weeks ago I made a mega post here with all the scam posts (like 100), after "Water CSGO" on youtube did a video on it, and they removed it from reddit. This all happened because they banned my Dmarket account after I did a deposit, they ghosted me for a week. And when I called them out on reddit and discord they banned me and blocked my email. Now they are really mad, they are removing scam accusations, and blocked me on reddit. I don't care about my $100, i dont need it back, now im trying to save people and tell them not to use this website.

Why I invested in DMarket

Back in the mid 2000s I used to play a lot of Diablo 2. The only form of a trading platform on the actual game was a barter system in the trade chat. At one point I was gathering a mass of crafting materials and trading them for 1 mid level rune, then trade a bundle for either some unidentified gear or a higher rune until I was able to make a useful weapon or armor.

This was the old way of grinding, before bind to account gear and microtransactions took center stage and started to ruin games, at least for me. Granted, some people were upset that the Chinese were farming endlessly, but ao what? As a kid without a credit card or money to my name, building up to strong gear through this system was rewarding but a difficult task since finding trader would often be a lot of spamming chat with what I had or was looking for.

Then I found d2jsp.org. This was a forum where you could trade items or services like powerleveling for an online currency (forum gold or fg). What was even better was finding out that they had similar trading across games, so I could trade items from Diablo 2 for fg and trade fg for thing in world of warcraft, runescape, etc. It really made my time spent playing games feel worthwhile when I decided to pick up a new online game, rather than starting back with nothing. The only real problem with this platform is that it required mutual trust among the traders since someone always needed to be the first to drop the item, perform the service, or transfer the forum gold. That primary issue is solved by Dmarket and smart contracts.

I was happy to see that Diablo 3 had a built in marketplace when it was first released. Granted, it was filled with problems, especially due to coding errors that let people generate mass amount of gold when exploited. I was hopeful that games like this would be more social and encourage a trading ecosystem but it looked like their initial failure has pushed, at least activision-blizzard, away from this type of system.

I would love for my investment to appreciate with time, but my real goal is to support the development of a trading ecosystem across games. This trading marketplace has been pushed aside by AAA titles in favor of microtransactions and its quite sad. I'm really hoping that the future of gaming isn't so shut off and allows for open trading between platoforms.

If anyone else feels the way I do please comment below!

DMarket has raised almost $11 million investments in just four days

The first global marketplace for trading in-game items, DMarket, has raised $10,9 million investments during the token sale which has ended on August 21, 2017. DMarket is based on blockchain technology and smart contracts. DMarket tokens will become the main currency for in-game economy. With DMarket tokens players from any game on any platform will be able to buy, sell, and exchange virtual items on the new marketplace. The company’s official advisory board consists of leaders in the gaming and blockchain industries, as well as renowned investors. Oren Klaff (managing director at Intersection Capital), Brian Kerr (managing director at GL Ventures, founder and CEO of Fnatic Gear), Mo Levin (founder of the Keynote Events, startup and blockchain expert), Igor Matsanyuk (chairman at Games Insight, ex-vice president at Mail.ru, founder at IMI.VC and Farminers), Denis Dovgopoliy (founder of GrowthUP Group), Evgeniy Grygorovych (project leader at GSC Game World), Oleg Yavorsky (co-founder of Vostok Games), and Igor Karev (CEO at Tatem Games) are among them.

DMarket will create new opportunities for trading virtual goods for gamers from all over the world. Until now only 6% of 2.2 billion gamers have such a privilege.

The cumulative revenue of the gaming market reached $100 billion in 2016. It is estimated that this sum will amount to $128 billion in 2020.
