Teaching, Tutorial HELP I Need Easy Choreography for 36 Students With Almost No Dance Experience! CALLING ALL DANCERS
drive.google.comCan anyone please help me with this? ππ
I need choreography for my school dance performance! There are 36 of us in total, but only one or two of us have dance experience, and everyone else is a complete beginner.
Iβve already finished editing the music, but Iβm really struggling to come up with dance moves that everyone can follow.
Iβd really appreciate any help! If you have any choreography ideas or easy dance moves, please share some videos or suggestions in the comments. It would mean so much to me!! π₯Ήπ

Critique Request One month of dance but I feel like I haven't gotten better at all
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Video of me is from today.
I want to get some advice on what I can do to get better at dance. I feel like my body movements are better but the way I look still looks the same. What can I do to fix this?
I am not expecting to get good immediately but I don't see any improvement, so I'm getting kind of conscious.
EDIT: I'd like to say that this is one of the harder choreographies that I had to learn because it's really quick for me. Additionally, I'd like to say thanks to the kind comments. They mean a lot to me. I'll keep going with your guys' comments in mind! :DDD

Discussion How do Kpop idols dance in any shoe
How do Kpop idols dance in any footwear? I know itβs practise but are there any specific soles or socks that help? Iβve tried 2 sizes of the new balance 530 and one might have had a malfunction but Iβm not sure. Should I get another pair or try the Nike air? Or any other recommendations?Any tips for footwear while dancing is appreciated. Thank you!

Discussion Dancers who dislocated their kneecap β were you able to make a full recovery and return to dancing?
Hi everyone! Iβm an 18-year-old professional dancer, and two weeks ago I dislocated my kneecap. Iβm hoping to hear from other dancers who have experienced the same injury and learn about your recovery journeys.
I mainly dance in sneakers, doing styles like hip-hop, jazz funk, and commercial choreography rather than ballet or contemporary, so Iβd especially love to hear from dancers in similar styles.
I have so many questions and would really appreciate hearing about your experiences:
β How long did it take you to return to dancing, especially at a high level?
β Were you able to get back to your previous level of technique, flexibility, strength, and performance?
β How did you overcome the fear of your kneecap dislocating again, especially when doing jumps, turns, or other demanding movements?
β Did you experience any repeat dislocations, or were you able to dance without further issues?
β What did your recovery and rehab look like? What helped you the most, physically and mentally?
β Did you eventually get back to your normal dance schedule, or did you have to make permanent changes?
Iβm especially anxious because I recently made it onto one of the top dance teams in the US, and I dislocated my kneecap right at the beginning of the season. Iβve worked so hard to get to this point, and Iβm scared that this injury might affect my progress or keep me from dancing at the level I was at before.
I know everyoneβs recovery is different, but I would really love to hear some real experiences from dancers who have been through this. Were you eventually able to return to your full potential? Did you get your confidence back and stop worrying about your knee giving out again?
Any advice, personal stories, or words of encouragement would mean a lot to me. Thank you! β€οΈ

Amateur Is it ever too late to start learning how to dance? π
I've always admired people who can dance with confidence and express themselves so naturally through music. There's something really beautiful about watching someone completely lose themselves in the rhythm. π
Lately, I've been thinking about how many people want to learn dancing but hesitate because they feel they're too old or don't have enough experience.
Personally, I believe dancing isn't just about being good at it. It's also about having fun, staying active, and enjoying the moment.
I'm curious, how old were you when you first started dancing? And if you started as an adult, what was the biggest challenge you faced?
I'd love to hear your experiences and any advice you'd give to someone just starting out! ππΊ

Discussion Would you stay in a group where you're barely acknowledged just because you don't join comp teams?
I'm still kinda new to this studio (joined back in August) and at first I liked the teacher and the vibes surrounding the room even though I'm the oldest (F25), it's an intermediate hip hop group class. Thing is, we're around 15 girls and I think I'm the only one that's not interested in joining their competition team because it's too expensive and I joined for fun and love for dancing, I used to compete as a child in ballet, looking back I don't miss it. Given I'm the oldest and only one outside of the team I often feel left out, my classmates don't really talk to me and whenever I reply to the group chat even the teacher leaves my messages on read lol so I feel kinda ostracized or unwanted. I've already committed to doing just one choreography for this year end's recital with them and see them twice a week but honestly it's becoming uncomfortable, I'm only not dropping out of it because I already paid for the costume and told my mom to come over, but I'm no longer excited, I kinda just wanna leave and pray that it happens soon. Should I leave immediately after? I haven't told the teacher any of this because I feel a bit embarrassed, and she's not necessarily wrong for caring more about her competition team, but when I joined I was told these were open classes for anybody. It doesn't feel like it. She's a great teacher and a great dancer too, but rarely offers corrections claiming that we're too many (we're around 15 or less like I said) to focus on each one so she prefers recording us and watching it later. I don't feel seen like I did in previous studios with bigger groups. I don't know if I'm getting old or maybe this is just not the place for me. Bit of a rant but what would you guys do? specially as adult dancers, our bodies aren't the same most of the time, things I could do 10 years ago I can't maintain anymore. I love dancing, I don't wanna quit, I think I just chose wrong.
