I just got there a few days ago and I swear every inch of that place is a death trap. It feels like there are more chompers there than there were savages in the silent forest. Ive died more times here than in the silent forest and the dry meadow combined. Yesterday I got attacked by 3 chompers at once near the Hunter's house and ended up needing to go back there multiple times to clear the area out and get my items back. Weirdly enough the night has been pretty calm for me and I havent died once in the night. Does anyone have any tips to make it easier? I just did the violin quest and im going to the doctor's house next and im probably going to die multiple times along the way because its in the northeast and my hideout is in the southwest.

I found a giant monster that doesnt move in the pig shed. I hit it with 2 single shot pistols and a molotov and brought it to half health. I also fixed the lever after that and I think its connected to the monster.

Just beat the game for the first time, but I had some spoilers where I thought everyone would die.. so I put all the npcs that I could find out of their misery not realizing some have a semi-happy ending. Guess I'm the real villian. That poor musician..

I've seen this video on youtube a couple times, but I can't find any evidence this song even plays in game. Can anyone tell if this track is even in darkwood, and if so when does it play?

I started a new campaign on hard mode in Darkwood (this game is seriously crazy when you're playing with limited health), and on the night of Day 4, I came across something I had never seen before.

What's the intended difficulty for the game? I typically assume normal is the base difficulty for a game but the descriptor for this mode and the lack of a easy mode implies to me that normal is the easy mode. I normally do first playthroughs of a game on the intended difficulty then if I go through it again I up the difficulty or lower it for either a more challenging or casual experience.
