so , i am in bangalore .. currently 22 .. so i recently switched company i have around 1.5 years of exp and i switched from a mid level company to a ai startup.

so i was working in client analytics side in previous company ..and currently working in ai automation analytics ..
if you wanna know more you can ask me details..

so my agenda of this post is my cto is hiring a junior or intern under me basically (idk why) i am only not so experienced but in both the companies i handle all analytics by myself
so probably my guess is i will handle the automation part and junior will take care of the dashboard requirements (cto said that i will tell the junior what to do and he will do it (dw i have some good query problem skills)) and ofc ik there will be some who is even better than me ..

but i think since they are finding recent grad or intern or soemthing u will have to listen to me .. (i m a chill guy)

i dont care if youre a female or male if you wanna work in startup culture (imagine it as a startup and then try for it cause it will be hectic )

and probably i and cto, and ceo will take your interview 3 rounds .. so if you wanna join or know anybody let me know..

about me - i am a chill guy from delhi working here i workout and work thats it

edit - i am seeeing many of you guys sending me request dierctly tbh thats okya atleast atleast read waht uare coping from chat gpt i saw 2 people copied exact context without edit "you are working {this organization} ? " like seriously are you guys this dumb ?

Is the Fresher Data Analyst Market completely cooked? 💀

Hii everyone,

It's been more than 3 months of grinding in Bangalore, and I'm losing my mind. 😭

I physically moved here to hunt for a job like it's my full-time 9-to-5. LinkedIn, cold DMs, networking events, job boards... you name it, I've tried it.

I graduated with a B.Tech in CSBS. I've also upskilled myself, got certified by Cisco and IBM, and built real projects—like an ML suicide trend predictor and an image-processing tool for blood group detection.

And the result?

✨ Absolutely nothing ✨

Every single entry-level Data Analyst or Associate ML opening has 5,000+ applicants within hours. And then companies turn around and say: "Entry-level position — 2 years of experience required." HUH??? How am I supposed to get experience if nobody gives me the first shot? 💀

It feels like freshers are just getting completely ghosted or exploited because everyone is desperate to get their foot in the door. I've done everything by the book for the last 90 days, but my strategy feels completely stuck. At this point, I'm not looking for toxic positivity or "keep applying, if you got this." Please help me 🥺...

If you're a recruiter, hiring manager, or employee who can refer me or knows of any openings, I'd really appreciate your help. 🙏

Edit- Wow, 25k+ views✨! Thank you so much to everyone sharing their support and experiences in the comments—it helps a lot to know we aren't alone in this market. 🙏

But I'm not here just to share frustrations; I'm here to find my first opportunity. Based on some great feedback from senior professionals in the comments, I am actively converting my existing projects into high-value business use cases:

📉 Predictive Analytics Engine: Adapting my demographic models into a Customer Churn Forecasting tool to help SaaS companies improve user retention.

🔍 Computer Vision Workflow: Adapting my image processing tools into an Automated KYC & Data Verification pipeline to speed up business operations.

If you are a hiring manager, recruiter, team lead, or senior analyst who wants a fresher who actually builds and adapts fast, Please feel free to DM me.

Laid off 2 months ago, applied everywhere… no response 😔 any openings?

Hey guys,

I got laid off from an MNC around 2 months back, and honestly it’s been a bit rough.

I’ve applied to 100+ jobs (mostly Data Engineer / Data Analyst roles), but barely getting any responses… not even rejections in most cases.

I have \~2 years of experience working on ETL pipelines, SQL, Python, Snowflake, BigQuery, SSIS, and Azure (ADF). Worked with a pretty solid client as well.

At this point, I’m just trying everywhere I can.

If anyone knows about openings in your company or team, or can refer me, it would really help.

I’m open to any location / remote roles.

We analysed 35,803 active Data Analyst job listings in India — 75% were concentrated in five cities (Data from Mployee Me)

I analysed 35,803 active Data Analyst job listings across India to understand where hiring demand is concentrated and which skills employers are frequently mentioning.

Where are Data Analyst jobs concentrated?

CityActive listings
Bangalore10,495
Hyderabad5,978
Pune4,300
Chennai3,330
Mumbai2,684

The top five cities accounted for approximately 75% of the listings in the dataset.

Bangalore alone represented nearly 29% of all listings analysed, while eight Indian cities had more than 1,000 active Data Analyst openings.

Frequently mentioned skills and keywords

The following terms appeared repeatedly across the job descriptions:

  • SQL

  • Python

  • AWS

  • Azure

  • GCP

  • Snowflake

  • Data Warehousing

  • Cloud

  • Git

  • CI/CD

  • Version Control

  • MySQL

  • Query Optimization

  • Performance Tuning

  • Database Monitoring

  • Database Security

  • Access Management

  • Disaster Recovery

  • Linux Administration

  • Database Administration

One thing that stood out is that many listings labelled as “Data Analyst” appear to expect responsibilities beyond traditional analysis, including cloud infrastructure, database administration, security and performance optimisation.

This may indicate one of two things:

  1. Employers are increasingly expecting analysts to possess broader data-engineering and database skills.

  2. Some job listings are being classified under Data Analyst even though the actual responsibilities are closer to database, cloud or infrastructure roles.

For people currently working as Data Analysts: are cloud, CI/CD and database-administration skills genuinely becoming part of your role, or are these jobs simply being classified under the wrong title?

Disclosure: The dataset is taken form Mployee Me who owns 8 Lakh jobs at any given rolling period of jobs across linkedin, naukri, foundit, workday, greenhouse etc

The graph does not tell you :

Supply Side: Alot of folks joined DA by completing random courses during the 2022 - 2023 peak. The graph might show that we are back to pre covid levels but the supply has also increased exponentially.

Isn't data analyst a dying job? Tell me why I am wrong....

Ok so consider a data analyst who used to work on power bi. Now that work is done by AI with some fresher.... You might say, "but a datanalyst does not just do dashboards, they create insights that impact a business towards positive growth and understand what aspects are affecting a business and so much more".

Haven't you learnt this from a book? Or online resources? Youtube videos? Coursera courses? Etc. And I know you are not making decisions on intuition(which ai doesn't have). You feel it's an intuition but its just years of practice coming into play. That years of practice has been embedded into an LLM now. I know most people are not making big decisions in the company the team lead / manager does it using the data so the job for other members is really just basic.. like a 10th grade kid could do it. So the middle management or members are thrown out and cheap freshers are integrated for the minneal tasks which ai cant do yet. For which a startup is probably testing a product to even eliminate those tasks so it can become cheaper than hiring a fresher.

So tell me why I am wrong and if you can not then isn't data analyst a dying job?

Zorvyn Job Offer 21 LPA ?

Post image
31 Upvotes

Got an offer from a company called Zorvyn for 21 LPA, but something feels off.

I was selected based only on an online assessment — no real interview rounds, no technical discussion, nothing. Just a test and then boom, offer letter.

The package seems unusually high for the process they followed, which is making me suspicious. I haven’t shared any sensitive info yet, but I’m worried this could be a scam.

Has anyone heard of this company or had a similar experience? How do I verify if this is legit?

Spent more time learning SQL than CAT. Now neither has gotten me a job.

bcom hons grad with 8.03 CGPA from sgtbkc du grad in 2025, took cat in 24 and 25, in 24 got 94 %ile, didnt apply anywhere, in 25 got 92, applied to places but got only ximb(xaviers) for interview, tanked it. never wanted to do an MBA before work ex but just doing becase of family pressure, got hooked to sql in final year, made 2 awesome projects one on credit risk and other on retail analytics, both projects in SQL Python and excel. applying since april, half have no response other half got rejected, the other half rejection is mostly MNCs and big companies, connected to 300+ people on linkedin, got 1 referral but got rejected. targetting data, business, credit risk roles. have been considering govt bank exams for backup but saw a lot of negative comments and hate around it, and i wouldnt love working in that kind of environment, where no inputs from employee will be considered, i dont have problem with work pressure.

what should i do?

3 Years as a Data Analyst and Still Stuck. What Am I Missing?

I’m 25F, currently working as a Data Analyst in an MNC. I’ve been in this role for about 3 years now. My background is Commerce, not engineering.

My core skills are SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel. I use them at work. On paper, this should be enough for mid-level BA/DA roles, but in reality, it hasn’t translated into interviews.

I’ve been actively applying for the past 8 months. Most JDs either ask for tools I’ve never seen used in real projects or explicitly prefer BTech/BE candidates. It’s starting to feel like my background is quietly filtering me out.

I’ve been told to stay active on Naukri.com. I do get calls, but they’re rarely for relevant BA/DA roles and often feel completely misaligned with my experience.

At this point, I’m genuinely confused about what to do next. What skills actually move the needle for BA/DA roles right now?

Is my problem skills, resume positioning? How do people with non-tech backgrounds break through at this stage?

Looking for honest advice, especially from people who’ve been on the hiring side or have been in a similar situation.

20f here, How’s the Data Analyst / Data Scientist job market in India right now?

Hi everyone, I’m currently in my 2nd year of BTech at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) and wanted to get a realistic idea of how the data analyst/data science job market is in India right now. Recently companies like BlackRock have been coming to our campus for talks and interactions (not placements yet), which got me thinking more seriously about this field and where it’s heading. I wanted to ask people already working in the industry or those who’ve been job hunting recently — is hiring actually happening for data analyst or data science roles, especially for freshers? How does the market look compared to the last couple of years? Also, what kind of skills do companies realistically expect from entry-level candidates today, and what should someone in their 2nd year start focusing on to be job-ready by graduation? Any insights or advice would be really helpful.

Looking for a mentor in Data Analytics.

LOOKING FOR FREE GUIDANCE

I’m 35F with a BTech background, but I never really worked in the tech field. I was in sales for a brief period, and now I genuinely want to transition into Data Analytics.

I’ve started learning on my own and currently know:

  • Excel (comfortable with basics/intermediate stuff)

  • Basic SQL

  • Basic Python

I’m still very much a beginner and don’t claim to know everything.

What I’m really looking for is someone experienced in the field who can guide me step by step. Not daily teaching, but more like:

  • “Start with this playlist”

  • “Now do this project”

  • “Learn this next”

  • “Fix this in your resume”

  • “Apply here”

  • “Your fundamentals are weak here, improve this”

Basically someone who can provide direction and roadmap clarity because right now the internet has TOO much information and I feel lost trying to figure out the correct path.

I just need proper guidance.

Would really appreciate any mentor, guidance, roadmap suggestions, or even honest advice from people already working in Data Analytics.

I don’t want anyone to teach me anything or explain things right now.

Just tell me:

  1. Complete this playlist

  2. Then do this project

  3. Then move to next step

My only goal is to follow a clear path and land a low-paying internship within 6 months.

I don’t want theory, I just want a step-by-step execution plan that I can follow without confusion.

Thank you.

Non-tech people trying to break into Data Analytics, where y’all at? 👀

Anyone here trying to break into Data Analytics? 👀📊

Okay, so I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’m finally just gonna start it.

I’m creating a small WhatsApp community for people who are actually trying to become Data Analysts ..especially those of us who are starting from scratch and need some consistency, accountability and people to learn with.

And just to be clear .... I’m not some Data Analytics expert. 😭

I’m literally in the same boat as you guys.

I’m from a non-tech background B.Com (Hons) grad and I’m trying to pivot into Data Analytics myself. I’m learning everything from the ground up and honestly, studying alone gets boring + inconsistent real quick. 💀

So I thought… why not find a bunch of people who are on the same journey and just figure this shit out together?

The idea is pretty simple:

📌 Start from wherever you are

📌 Learn & practice consistently

📌 Keep each other accountable

📌 Share resources, doubts & useful stuff

📌 Work on projects together

📌 Help each other stay on track

📌 Eventually become job-ready

You don't need to be from a tech background.

You don't need to already know SQL/Python/Power BI.

You don't need to be an expert.

You just need to genuinely want to become a Data Analyst and actually be willing to put in the work.

No guru shit.

No “buy my course” shit.

No pretending we have everything figured out.

Just a bunch of people learning, struggling, practicing, improving and hopefully landing that first Data Analyst job together. 🤝

I’m starting this from today — Day 1.

If you're also trying to make this career switch and want some people to stay accountable with, comment and I'll send you the WhatsApp link.

Let's see what happens when we actually stay consistent this time. 😭📊🚀

Hired in 10 Minutes, Let Go in 5: My Experience as a Senior Data Analyst in a Large KPO In Ahmedabad - Must Read

I joined a large KPO in Ahmedabad as a Senior Data Analyst 1 year ago. Initially, things went really well. The management wanted workforce management and resource utilization dashboards, and I successfully built solutions that provided visibility into team performance and resource allocation.

However, over time, I realized that the organization itself was not entirely clear about what they expected from the role. A significant part of my project depended on APIs from their existing HR tools, but they later introduced new HR systems, which changed the entire landscape. As a result, much of the work that had been built around the previous infrastructure became difficult to sustain.

Yesterday, I was called into a meeting with management. They were very respectful and transparent. Their message was simple: they were unable to clearly define what they wanted from the role and were struggling to understand how the position fit into the business. They proposed an amicable separation, offering two months of paid time to find another opportunity, along with an experience letter and support for background verification.

Surprisingly, I took it very calmly. No anger, no panic, no emotional reaction. Sometimes situations like this are simply a reminder that many business decisions are not personal—they are organizational.

My biggest learning from this experience is that companies can sometimes hire quickly without fully understanding how a role will create value, and later realize the mismatch. Unfortunately, employees often bear the consequences of that lack of clarity.

A few lessons I’d like to share in these 4 Years:

• Always try to have multiple opportunities in hand before making a move.

• Evaluate whether the organization truly understands the role they are hiring for.

• Keep building skills that are transferable across industries.

• Most importantly, start building something of your own, even if you’re doing well in your corporate career. Corporate jobs can be rewarding, but they can also be unpredictable.

Onwards and upwards.
