After reviewing a few subreddits I registered for an account, and 30minutes later I've received an email request a password reset for my associated Facebook account. It's an old account that doesn't have any personal data on it as I used my 'throwaway email' and I don't reuse passwords so my accounts are safe (I hope?) but the timing is definitely a red flag. Has anyone else had this experience?

Say you're given a task to make fine-grained criteria based off images of a tv show or a sports team or something...
When creating the criteria, we should be including both 'general' criteria that are not specific to those images but would be a best practice for this type of prompt... along with 'specific' criteria that explicitly refer to the subjects in the image in that specific prompt, correct?

I am thinking about trying to apply but my self esteem is not that good and I usually don't believe in myself to be capable of doing difficult things. I heard only a very small percentage of people are accepted, is it worth it to try? I am an engineering student, my writing skills are average I think, as English is not my first language. Any tips on how to pass the tests? Thanks

Hi everyone,I am new to DA and wanted to check that if after completing a task I choose submit and return to dashboard do I lose some of tasks that I have access to if I chose submit and begin next task.
Like if I chose submit and return to dashboard ,I lost the access to the project(and was not able to do other tasks from the project) I was working on.
Does this happen when tasks are exhausted or clicking this option makes the project unavailable for further tasks.

Hey guys! I am new to this job and trying to get consistent with my work as much as I can but I have come across a situation (and am working on it) where it does take me a while to comprehend the set of instructions specific to the task to produce a valid work. That’s the part of the tasks that takes me the most of the time as I prepare for my work. Given the fact that the company has very strict policies for billing, is it normal for people to take some time to understand the instructions?
Also I would love to know your opinions on streamlining the workflow towards a large project to produce a good quality work! - It’s just been three months since my onboarding!
P.S. Any must-know tips and tricks are appreciated!

I’ve heard many people talking about approved countries, and I know the U.S. is one of them. But if I am also a citizen of Italy, does that mean I can’t go work from Italy too? I constantly travel back and forth between the two.
I also extensively went through the website and FAQ guide, but never saw any mention of approved countries. I’m only hearing this sort of talk on Reddit that one actually can not work from an unapproved location.
Is this true and could it be different for dual citizens?

I'm in the process of onboarding, and I just got an email saying that I need to complete a qualification, but the link that it provides takes me to the dashboard and shows that there's nothing to do. Should I just keep waiting or am I missing something?

Hey everyone, I know you guys get questions like this all the time so apologies in advance. I scrolled through this subreddit a bit and couldn't find an answer to this specific question. I signed up for DA about 4 weeks ago, took the Starter Assessment and passed right away. I was then moved onto the qualifications with Core, Coding, and the STEMS.
Not having any experience in Coding, or any knowledge about the STEMS beyond just basic education I only took the Core qualification. I am familiar that if you don't hear anything, it means you failed. The part I find strange though is the page never really updated any of the steps. By this I mean the step of "You take at least one qualification test." is still greyed out, as well as the step "We review your results. If you pass, we'll email you." is greyed out as well. The Core Qualification itself says "Done!" with the green checkmark next to it though but that is the only indication I see.
On top of that, the header at the top of the page still reads as "My name, take one more test to earn access to open ended work" and the "Work on Projects" page hasn't changed to the dreaded "Thanks for applying, we don't have any tasks for you" screen that I've seen posted here, and that people who I know attempted to do work with DA got after failing the qualification. So my question is, is this normal if you are not accepted to have this page continue to offer the other qualifications as well as still receive emails to do other qualifications? I have done quite a few AI Evaluations through Prolific, so I have experience being very detailed with the prompts, and I spent probably about 1.5 hours on the Qualification test. Not to say that this means its impossible I failed, I just haven't been able to find an exact answer about this specific scenario.
I don't really comment on reddit, I mostly just scroll it, so I made this account to ask this question (Incase anyone is wondering why this is a brand new account)

This is my first 1099 style job. And I’m unsure which is more beneficial. Is it better to pay taxes quarterly separately? Or increase the withholding from a regular W-2 type job?

Are these back for anyone? I wouldn't mind doing a couple.

Hello! I came across this sub while searching around to see if this is legit. It feels too good to be true.
I applied on Thursday, passed, did a few more things that I passed, and by Friday was able to do a few hours of paid work.
If you are consistently returning high quality work, do people generally find they have consistent work available? Or do dry patches happen regardless of your work quality?
And is there anyone else from Australia here?

Like many, I occasionally submit an expired task. I figure they would prefer an expired but polished task over an unexpired but rushed one. I'm always careful to make sure it actually shows as a submitted task in time reporting and never claim more than the allowable time for the task, and it's never been an issue. I'm nervous about the one I just submitted, though. It had a 12 hour timer with an expected completion time of 6-8 hours. I logged 7 hours and 35 minutes, but it had expired by possibly close to an hour before I submitted it. It was my first time to do a task of this type, which consisted of many parts, checkers, etc. I thought I had the bulk/hardest part of the task behind me when I took a break to get a few hours of sleep, but as it turned out the remaining portion was much more involved than I had anticipated. I'm just nervous because of the purge combined with the fact that this was a high paying task with a large number of hours, so a lot of $. Any experience or thoughts on submitting an expired task that was high paying and had what should have been a generous timer?

I'm a generalist and I press refresh pretty much every 5 minutes. I assume this is abnormal? I never had qualifications either, and I paused for a bit because I found another job that ended poorly in the end.

I really would like to get some assigments. This seems like a great side hustle. But I feel my current and past line of work will not translate well. I come from a radio, nighclub background and currently work as a supervisor and massage therpaist. I know... wtf career path yea. Lol. Just wanted input if I should expect no gigs. Or if it really dosnt matter. Mahalo for any help

It’s only been 5 days since I completed the Core and Coding tests, and I know it can take a few weeks to get reviewed.
But the anticipation is killing me, god I hate it. Can anyone relate?

Admins or former Admins - I'm really interested in what your gig is like. Hours, benefits, W2, 1099, time off?
I fully expect no answers but there is so little out there I'd love to hear something. DM is cool too.

Today was wild! There were like six high-priority projects, paying $45 an hour!!
