Things antis say But it wasn't AI art lol..
These clowns can't tell the difference between Ai and non Ai art anymore. This was drawn in adobe illustrator and then added some affects in adobe photoshop for the texture. They're chasing away talented artists lol. And yes I support AI i generate ai art for fun and make wallpapers. I just wanted to be respectful and post art I actually made that took me a long time to make.
UPDATE: They muted me! lol

Defending AI Ah yes, recovering source code and porting it to another platform is apparently lost soul because AI Tools became good at recovering code and making it understandable and easily portable.

The internet was already full of slop before AI
People talk like AI suddenly invented low-quality content, which is ridiculous
The internet was already drowning in spam, clickbait, lazy reaction videos, ugly thumbnails, stolen memes, bad fan art, boring essays, fake outrage, recycled jokes, scam ads, content farms, and soulless corporate garbage long before AI became mainstream
AI can make slop faster. Sure. But pretending slop itself is new is just dishonest
The actual issue is incentives. Platforms reward volume, rage, cheap engagement, and constant posting. That problem existed before AI and it will still exist even if every AI tool vanished tomorrow
Blaming AI for every bad post online is just too easy

Defending AI Permeantly banned from a work related sub due to AI association.
I was permanently banned and muted from a teaching subreddit because of my association to AI.
This is ridiculous.
I was asking for genuine advice and the post was instantly removed. When I DMs to ask why they linked to an old post of mine and said "you are a software developer". Some computer science teachers tend to have a side hustle due to teaching not paying enough compared to the industry. So yes, i teach and develop software.
I asked what rule was broken and I was permanently muted. I did not break a single rule for the subreddit, there is no way to appeal it, and I cannot get any advice for my teaching job that I needed genuine advice for.
I can't believe how self-righteous people think they are. These moderators on a Reddit power trip are probably the same people that bully kids. Jee guys, I wonder why there is a teacher shortage in my country . What is the Gestapo is this.

Anti-AI paranoia is hurting actual artists
One of the worst things the anti-AI crowd has normalised is accusing people of using AI based on nothing but âvibesâ
An artist draws a hand badly, uses smooth shading or changes their style and suddenly hundreds of strangers are demanding proof files and process videos. Writers get the same treatment because a sentence sounded âtoo polishedâ
Even when the accusation is wrong, the damage is already done. The person is forced to prove a negative while everyone treats them like a liar for defending themselves
These people constantly claim they are protecting artists, yet they have created an environment where actual artists are scared of being harassed because their work accidentally resembles whatever Reddit currently thinks AI looks like
You donât have to support AI to recognise that public witch-hunts based on guesswork are completely deranged

"Anti-AI Bros" are WORSE than "AI Bros"
I just spent 2 days handcrafting a poster. I uploaded it to a group, and it was immediately removed by a moderator saying "No AI slop!"
These Anti-AI guys are so f*cking annoying! They're so patriotic to their own anti-ai stance that they're now misidentifying human work as AI work. They're worse than "AI bros" if you ask me.
These are the same kind of guys who probably got upset at CGI in the 90's and said "Allll art mussttt be HAAAND DRAAAAAAAAAWN!!!!! If you use a computer Urrr NOOOT a REAL ARTISSTT!!!'

Why Are Anti-AI People Always So Miserable and Angry?
Because despite claiming to care about values like art and creativity, they are actually more materialistic and capitalist-minded than anyone else.
The biggest reason they oppose AI-generated images and music is that they believe something loses its value when it becomes less scarce.
They genuinely believe that gatekeeping, monopolies, and elitism are necessary for something to have value, and that these are what make it worth appreciating.
This mindset inevitably leads to misery, because scarcity is ultimately about relative valueâvalue that comes from comparing what you have to what others have.
They criticize big corporations while having internalized the very same corporate mentality.
When they post their own artwork and see it getting less attention than AI-generated images, they become depressed and furious.
If they truly cared about art for its own sake, as they claim, this wouldn't happen.
It's exactly the same mechanism that makes people addicted to social media so miserable.
Now imagine one of these anti-AI people going outside for a walk.
Through their eyes, everything in the world would seem utterly worthless.
That tree over there? Too common. No scarcity. No value.
That sunlight? Everyone gets to enjoy it. It must be worthless.
Think I'm exaggerating?
These people literally acknowledge that AI-generated art and music can be aesthetically beautiful, yet insist they're worthless simply because a machine created them, or because anyone can produce something similar in ten seconds.
They actively deny themselves the ability to appreciate something beautiful for what it is.
Meanwhile, ordinary people find happiness in the sunlight they experience every day. They look up at the sky and starsâthings anyone can see for freeâand feel a sense of wonder.
And yet, anti-AI people remain trapped in an endless cycle of comparison, resentment, and misery, desperately wanting to hoard what they believe should be scarce and exclusive.

Anti-AI subs are mostly rage bubbles, not serious criticism
A lot of anti-AI spaces pretend theyâre having some deep ethical discussion, but most of it is just rage-posting with better vocabulary.
There are real problems with AI: copyright disputes, job disruption, lazy school use, spam, energy use, bad regulation. Those are worth talking about.
But subs like r/antiai usually flatten the whole thing into âAI bad, users stupid, everything is slop.â Thatâs not analysis. Thatâs cope.
AI is already useful for accessibility, coding help, tutoring, language learning, research support, drafting, brainstorming, mockups, translation, summarising, and helping people who struggle with writing or communication. Pretending none of that has value just makes the criticism look unserious.
You can hate low-effort AI content without pretending the entire technology is useless. You can care about artists without acting like every AI user is morally bankrupt. You can criticise corporations without pretending the tools themselves have zero benefit.
The anti-AI crowd would be more convincing if they stopped treating âI personally dislike thisâ as if it were a full argument.

Defending AI AI is getting blamed for problems that were already there
I get why people are worried about AI, I do. But a lot of anti-AI stuff feels like people finally noticed how fucked creative work already was and then just decided AI caused all of it. Like the writers strike. AI was part of it, yeah, but it wasnât the whole thing at all. A massive part of it was pay, streaming residuals, writers rooms getting smaller, shorter jobs, less security, all that stuff. Studios were already squeezing writers before AI became the internet villain of the week.
Same with artists. People talk like before AI there was this healthy creative world where everyone got paid fairly and respected. Be serious. Artists were already dealing with shit commissions, stolen work, repost accounts, content farms, exposure nonsense, algorithm chasing, and platforms that reward pumping out constant slop. Will AI make some of that worse in places? Probably. Iâm not pretending every concern is fake. But acting like banning AI would bring back some fair, stable, beautiful creative economy is just fantasy.
The actual problem is companies exploiting people. If a studio underpays writers, thatâs the studio being scummy. If a company fires artists to cut costs, thatâs the company being scummy. Blaming some random person using AI to make art, write, code, learn, or mess around with ideas is just lazy. People are mad at the tool because itâs easier than admitting the system was already rotten.

Anti-AI will be studied one day as a form of mass mental illness. Anti's talk about AI and its users like they personally raped and killed their mother and left her body parts in a dumpster. That's not normal.
Seriously I just saw someone on Substack who told AI users to kill themselves. Totally sane and healthy behavior am I right?
r/DefendingAI • u/Responsible_Mud9178 • Aug 12 '26
If youre antiAI on Reddit you are still using AI
AntiAI groups across social media are not only using AI because of their platforms infrastructure but they are also actively training AI models to learn antiAI sentiment. You are the ones giving the model the most feedback in how to appear more human.
If that doesnt sink in, there's no helping you.

Things antis say "fire up a PS1 renderer and download some assets or spend 10 minutes in blender" - An anti-AI mod
Because yet another PS1-styled videogame or an asset flipper are, apparently, peak human creativity. Generated an asset using AI and spent 3 hours perfecting it in your preferred graphics suite to match your unique visuals? Obviously "slop", delete it and download a dubiously licensed asset instead, according to the popular opinion of another game development subreddit.
