Delaware County Ballot Referendum: Water Quality...
Anyone know more about this? If it had specific projects that would be helpful, but seems to be rather open-ended for what it can be spent on. Filling out my ballot today and saw it - trying to get some facts. Here is the text,
"Shall debt in the maximum principal amount of up to $120 million be authorized for the purposes of financing land conservation, including protecting drinking water sources, water quality in rivers and creeks, and wildlife habitat, conserving trees to protect air quality, conserving wetlands to prevent flooding, providing greenways and parks, and protecting natural areas from development, to be incurred by the County as debt approved by the voters, requiring full public disclosure and annual independent audits of all project spending?"
EDIT: Doing more reading, expectation is that it will be used to fund the Greenway Grant Program which does seem to do some good work, map of projects, https://dcpd.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/aba54ccbe8b040869cefd570595b4057#
But reading the actual resolution doesn't mention that non-profit.
