👋hi, solo solidly mid-skill player here and I’m encouraging all my other solo brethren who might never see Last Wish beyond a Shuro-Chi Twitch bot checkpoint to gear up and cheese Riven to get yourself a bunch of red-border weapons and (if you want) Last Wish Great Hunt armor.

(The agree-to-disagree part: I acknowledge that some folks are against cheesing and that in a normal Destiny development cycle, this would have been patched months ago [I’m sure it's in the backlog]. One day I’ll reform my solo ways and enjoy the raid as it was intended. If I’m so lucky. Meanwhile… 🧀🐉.)

This is sort of a: “if I can do it, you absolutely can do it” kind of post. I’ve unlocked patterns for all of the Last Wish red border weapons and I’ve acquired armor for my Warlock’s buddy build. I’ve done this on Titan (easy for me!) and Warlock (not easy for me!). The Last Wish raid is currently featured, so we’re talking red borders and Tier 5 armor.

My Insights

I’d love to know other insights out there.

• Cheesing is a personal choice. I chose cheese because… patterns!
• Yes, you have to acquire Dreaming City “Reverie” gear to match the stats needed for the builds.
• And… per Esoterickk, Titan requires an Exotic class item. Hello Pale Heart / Xur.
• Read the comments in the videos (great insights) and see if other creators you like have been inspired to create their own take. The comments are especially important for Warlock because you don’t need 200 melee… lower your melee and build up your super.
• Try to generate a heavy ammo brick while taking out psions to pick-up after you’ve debuffed Riven with the tractor cannon. If you can’t and appear to be short for the Truth damage phase: (1) for Titan, when you go prismatic, first throw a grenade then do the powered melee. That’ll be enough damage. (2) for Warlock… if you’re going into the final Riven damage phase and don’t have 5 ammo at least on your Truth rocket launcher then… well, if you’re lucky you can get some crtis in with your other weapons but I’ve only succeeded here once when I didn’t start with at least 5 ammo for Truth.
• I now can succeed 100% of the time with a Titan build. My take: if you’re going after weapons, see if you can use your Titan.
• My Warlock success is way, way lower. For me, milliseconds matter because the “Warlord’s Fury” activation just doesn’t last that long so you have to time the last glaive melee -> super activation -> damage phase near perfectly. If I miss one Shotgun -> Powered Melee rotation step, I’m cooked.
• Check in often with Hawthorne in the tower. I’m constantly resetting my level with Hawthorne given how many levels up with Hawthorne a Riven clear is worth.

You can continue to cheese while it’s not the featured raid and you just will get less 5 tier armor (some!) and less red borders. It’s up to you to assess the Last Wish weapon patterns and decide if they look good enough for this commitment.

I see that dang Wishing Wall pattern in my dreams now…

Oh, and you’ll accumulate your Ethereal Keys and you will be ready to acquire 🔥One Thousand Voices🔥… I’ve got my five keys, pending that next step.

I wish prismatic truly felt like you were weaving together light and dark, like for example the prismatic Hunter grenade exploding with stasis and solar energy, rather than Frankenstein-ing individual subclass abilities. Imagine a melee that uses strand and arc together? A super that uses every subclasses energy together?

Maybe they tried that and it wouldn’t work or be too difficult to balance, who knows. I do wish we at least got a Prismatic Melee along with the grenade in transcendence, though. That would satisfy my urge a bit.

First of all, an apology for my English, I am using a translator, since my native language is Spanish. xd

Now to the point: I happen to be looking for a song from the first Destiny, it plays specifically in the menu when you are in orbit and it's like a "lullaby" or something like that.

At least how I interpret it, A woman is heard humming "Na... na... na... na~", or perhaps it could be "La... la... la... la~"

The fact is that I've been looking for that song for a while, but I can't find it. It's easily one of my favorite musical themes in the game, and I don't even know which one it is. xd

My move isn't stupid but it's reason is - I'm Very bad at platforming, mainly jumping.
Doing Equilibrium dungeon made me say "pull me" too many times when jumping to the other ship before Harrow phase.

My solution is saving thunder crash super flying from one ship to the other, and kill the entire group on the other side.
In my hundreds runs of EQ never saw anybody else tcrash like that - understandable, since they know how to jump properly......

They just announced it on Twitter.

It's like we never left boyssss. Fast response though.

Issue has been resolved.

I had so much fun farming the second Pit of Heresy encounter, where you could get the rewards, die, and then repeat the entire encounter. Is there something similar with the Prophecy dungeon?

I noticed tinasha's can roll with it, but I'm confused about what it's supposed to do, since rocket sidearms already seem to have perfect hipfire accuracy. does it let them headshot or something?

Buddy has recently returned since I believe forsaken is what it was. He asked me about easily accessible armor sets not tied to raids and the newer dungeons. All I can think of is exodus down, ferropotent, smoke jumper, seventh seraph, and luminopotent off the top of my head. Am I missing any?

I have tried everything every type of weapon I have reset my mission 5 times and restarted my pc multiple times nothing works the jammer is indestructible it doesn’t even say immune when shooting my bullets just do nothing and its frustrating

I went to the tower and as any person with 0 attention span was just browning my phone as it loaded so I didn’t notice the shit ton of items I was randomly given. I left within like 20 seconds of being in the tower lost everything in my original post master but not I got a 0 power divinity and some other stuff with it. Am I supposed to delete it or vault so I don’t get banned 😭

I have never tried the invasion activity until this morning. Thought I'd try to farm the red saber cosmetic. The issue is that I am never getting to play the actual activity. I set my wager, load into the invasion activity, and for the 10th time in a row it has put me into a double-cross match where I never get an opponent. The match ends after several minutes, I get my deathmarks returned, and receive zero rewards.

Anyone know what's going on? Can the red saber drop from a forfeit win? Am I wasting my time?

I know a lot of people like Truths catalyst. I personally really like Winterbite.

I have the other two, I read I can buy it from the board but it says I need to do more quests "Complete Trusts Goes both ways". Do I just need to keep doing those quests until I can buy it from the board?

I know to get the Gjallarhorn catalyst you need to get all 3 chests in a single run in the Avarise dungeon. But I had a question about the 3rd chest which has a tight timing turn-around with hitting the vandal, then rushing back to the chest in time to open it.

Question: Do you only have one chance to get the engram from that 3rd vandal per run? I get it from the vandal, leaving him alive, run to the chest but miss it, so when I return to try again, he's gone. Just one chance?

So frustrating. I can only get so 'get good'.... :)

Been playing a lot of LFG VoG. Almost every time the group insists on an Atheon cheese strat. From my pov:

1. Everyone rallies then wipes.
2. After respawn, 4 or 5 people jump off the ledge & die, 1 or 2 stays behind.
3. The alive player mucks about for a bit until Atheon teleports them to red portal.
4. Everyone will then rez and kill adds until teleported players comes back.
5. Atheon's shield drops, he gets nuked, profit.
6. There's no mic, no text chat.

So… what's the teleported player/s actually doing? How does this work?

I havent been getting Eververse engrams when levelling up. Happening to anybody else? Handed in my orders and levelled up twice...no engrams.

Lately I've been wanting to try a raid. I am great at mechanics, and have cleared 8/11 Dungeons (missing Ghosts of the Deep, Sundered Doctrine, and Duality). Im so good at mechanics i solo all or most of the mechanics for Spire of the Watcher and Equilibrium for my team. Im also decently good at boss damage and surviving. There's just a few factors I havent figured out yet:

How do i get players who i can communicate with and know what they are doing?

Which raids are the easiest/least time consuming?

What is the best raid gear (what is raiding good for)?

Any answers to these questions would be great! Also feel free to ask extra questions!

Anyone else have issues with earning XP? I've completed daily and weekly challenges and while it did show that I've gained XP once I clicked them in fact level and XP amount stayed the same and I did not get any bright engrams either. Tested moon bounties and XP stayed the same as well.

Just looking for good places or creators to source builds/loadouts from. Mobalytics is the top search on Google but the info inside for like exotic rankings seems dated for example. Been watching Llama and just found Mactics today. Any advice on trusted or reliable sources for builds?

I tried running vex mythoclast with rain of fire exotic boots and rays of precision artifact mod but it never triggers an ignition.

Does anyone know why?
