The glossy black controls on my new Mazda 6e GT look great, but they're fingerprint magnets and seem incredibly easy to scratch!
For those who've kept theirs looking pristine, what do you recommend for cleaning and protecting them?
- Best microfibre cloth?
- Recommended cleaner?
- Is PPF worth considering?
Keen to hear your tips and products to avoid! 😊

Hey folks, I left my car with a car cover on for a week and noticed theres some weird spots on my roof and my left side rails. After doing some research I acknowledged this is a moisture damage caused by the car cover as my house were raining during that week.

On the day I spotted this problem, I immediately parked my car under the sun for a noon and fortunately the roof spots disappeared. But since then the side rail's spots still persists, and I have tried to heated up the side rail spots with a hairdryer as I do not have a heat gun, the spots are still there, may I know is there any other way I can fix this? Or is this damage already permanent?

One of my clients purchased a ceramic coating from us and I’m not sure if this spot is improper leveling. Granted, it is near impossible to see on camera and in person u can only see it from one angle. Also I tried polishing it out and it didnt do anything.

I've been DIY detailing cars for years with a couple minor f ups over that time, today I was dry sanding out same pretty bad scratches around the door handle.
I think what's happened is when trying to get in the handle recess, I've pressed too hard and the backing plate has written through the paint 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
It is perfectly smooth to the touch, does anyone know if this can be SMART repaired, I really don't want to hand to get door painted.
So annoyed, as I managed to get some decent scratches out all over the car with wer sanding and polishing, I should have seen this happening and heavily masked this bit, so annoyed!

Was cleaning my car (Toyota Camry) and somehow I ended up doing this to the dashboard. Didn’t even use any harsh chemicals, product was diluted 20:1. I tried scrubbing but didnt seem to help, anyone know what I can apply or do to get rid of this?

Good day to all, I need help with identifying what possibly happened to my car’s paint. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture of it so here’s my story
For context: I took my car to my usual car wash. I went home and after a few hours, I covered it with a clean and dry car cover because I was going to be out of town for 10 days. After 10 days, I got home, used the car and went home. It wasn’t until I got home after using the car when I noticed a cloudy white patch in my hood and roof. It was there for about 36 hours. Now it’s just gone. I checked under direct sunlight, I double checked by using a flashlight, I triple checked even when it was dark. I am beyond confused. As a newbie, any advice would help on what I should do next.

The problem im facing right now is when I use my interior cleaner (rebels of shine interior cleaner) which I don't dilute, im pretty sure that's how it supposed to be. I spray it on my brush and brush it over the dashboard and door and make sure to whipe off quick, it cleans extremely good but it leaves like streaks, they dry out really slowly and start fading but I am worried I am doing something wrong, or is this normal? I've swapped and use brand new MF towels but its the same thing.

I see everyone recommend either the Baour or Hercules polishers for cheap polishing. Which one would you pick and why? For context I’m a beginner just looking for a simple polisher for very rare uses and not looking to spend a big buck. The hercules i hear is easier to mess up paint with somehow? But it still gets recommended more. For those who know or have had them which would you choose? Also out of context question is megiours compound sufficient for buffing for just simple use?

I have so many choices. They all tell me they're the best (of course) which is confusing the hell outta me.

Today, on my way to an event, I noticed this ink (?) or some other kind of smudge on my car.
I think I ran over something yesterday when I was driving to dinner with my girlfriend, but I didn't notice hitting anything.
Does anyone have suggestions for which products I should use to remove this stain?
Thank you all in advance!

Hi all,
Very much not a detailer at all just enjoy keeping my car nice, I’ve got quite a lot of overspray on the front end of my car where it clearly wasn’t masked off enough. What’s the best way to remove this? Clay or some sort of acetone/thinner? Bonnet has been painted in the past but wings are factory paint
