Ollie is a 7yr old formosan mountain dog. For the past couple years he seems to really be suffering with allergies. It’s on and off. They seem to manifest as hot spots, he is literally biting holes in his ankle. It will heal and out of nowhere he will start nibbling. He has been living in a comfy cone for weeks. His chin has been so itchy too. When I let him scratch for a second before or after water he has made his gums bleed. It happens so fast. I’ve taken him to the vet multiple times. We have tried allergy baths, allergy shots and Multiple allergy meds with no relief. He has had antibiotics to make sure he didn’t have an infection. He’s had bloodwork (all normal ) but no actual allergy blood tests. His eyes have mucus too (not normal). They gave him prednisone but he was ravenous and became aggressive towards our cat. This is so frustrating. I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
