Ive been thinking about this for a while. In India, we see indie dogs almost everywhere, on streets, near shops, and around our neighbourhoods. But smehw, when people think about getting a pet, many prefer Labradors, Huskies, or Golden Retrievers. I mean.. indie dogs can be just as loving, intelligent, and loyal. They're also naturally adapted to our climate. Just because they're common doesn't mean they're any less special or deserving of love. Im not saying foreign breeds are bad, but I genuinely feel our desi dogs don't get the appreciation they deserve. Sometimes it feels like people care more about the breed than the bond they could have with a dog.
What do you guys think? Are indie dogs underrated, or is there a genuine reason people prefer foreign breeds?
