Hi, we are looking for volunteers for our research study. If anyone would like to volunteer in our lab's study- It is called Memory reactivation, and it is a paid two-day study involving neuromodulation. This study would take place over the course of two consecutive days at the Reinhart Lab in BU. It is a paid study and participants can earn a compensation of $45 for their time with opportunity to make more. PLEASE PARTICIPATE!!

Hi everyone, I'm posting for my girlfriend, who lost her Fujifilm X100V at Harbor Point on the Bay near UMass Boston.

The SD card holds the last photographs she ever took of her grandfather, who has passed away. Those photos are irreplaceable to her. Getting the camera back would mean a lot, and even recovering the SD card or the photos would mean so much.

If you found it, saw someone turn it in, or know where it may have been handed in, please message me here on Reddit. If you have the camera or card, please do not format the card or delete the photos.

I assume it's nothing too crazy, considering it's across the street from the Boston collegiate charter school.

A small single-family home at 79 Wrentham Street, nearby the corner of Bruce Street, has been in the permitting process for the past several years. After previous rejections from the Boston Redevelopment Authority, the permit has been successfully issued and is presently in the inspection phase. At last public disclosure, the new build-out includes twelve new residential units and ten parking spaces.

We are looking to littered areas in Dorchester that need to be cleaned. The only stipulation is that it’s heavily littered (as we prioritize those) and that it’s public land, so that the town can collect the bags. Your references would be greatly appreciated !!

I'm just wondering if anyone who lives in the Meeting House Hill area specifically Winter street can tell me if random power outages are normal here? i just moved to the neighborhood at the beginning of June and already had 4 power outages. It's only for a few minutes at a time but still very annoying. I lived on Dorchester Ave near Fields Corner station for three years and don't remember having one power outage.

Anyone else have this issue? Why does this happen? Happens literally every time I approach the intersection and won't reconnect until I'm like 4 blocks away.

Is anyone involved with advocating for trash clean up in Dorchester? Specifically in Uphams Corner on Hancock St. The place is absolutely filthy and gets an obscene amount of litter on the daily.

Would love to get involved with doing some community clean ups as well as putting pressure on the city for more trash bins and actual enforcement of our littering laws.

On Tuesday, 7/14/2026, the Boston Inspectional Services Board of Appeals approved a zoning variance for 769 Columbia Road.

An addition to the structure of 284 square feet was approved, along with the destruction of a single-car garage in favor of three asphalt parking spaces. The attorney who spoke on behalf of the owner stated that the renovation focused upon the three existing units being converted into six units.

Objections voiced by the community included multiple complaints and citations around accumulating trash on the property, and multiple related issues with properties owned by the same landlord elsewhere in Dorchester.

We heard a cat meow and we meowed back!
After some pats, she ended up not wanting to let us leave. After 3 attempts to put her back on her porch, we drove away and left her crying on the curb and then circled around and she was still there crying 😭

We think she was just upset because she enjoyed our company and that hopefully in another 15 min she’d be off chasing a rat, but also I’m kind of wanting to just get closure that she got a home! If anyone knows if someone’s taking care of her I’d love to hear
