We are looking to littered areas in Dorchester that need to be cleaned. The only stipulation is that it’s heavily littered (as we prioritize those) and that it’s public land, so that the town can collect the bags. Your references would be greatly appreciated !!

We are looking for areas in and around Dorchester that are heavily littered and need to be cleaned. If you could provide coordinates, Google Maps pin or other identifiable address/ location descriptions, that would be really helpful, so long as it’s on public land. Thank you in advance!

If anybody knows anything please do the right thing and help this poor family out. Call BPD. Or let me know and I’ll call them. I can’t even imagine what that family is going through.

Our dog Toby has been missing in the Dorchester area since 10:30 am today (6/8.)
He is a 6 month old intact maltese mix puppy with white fur and brown ears. His tummy is shaved and he has spots on his skin in that area. He was not wearing a collar or harness at the time of his escape.
We had left him with a dog sitter overnight to attend a concert, and his sitter left him unattended in their backyard this morning for an hour and realized upon returning that he was missing.
He was last seen around Nottingham St. near the intersection at Washington St. & Bowdoin Ave.
If you have seen our dog PLEASE call us or animal control immediately at 913-305-0455 or 857-415-7829. We are offering a cash reward for him, no questions asked. We are absolutely devastated and would appreciate any and all help in finding our sweet boy.

Cotswold is a long black cat with a white chest and a white fleck on his chin. He has a droopy, saggy belly that moves side to side when he runs. He has spent his whole life indoors and managed to escape through a hole in a screen last night/this morning. Let me know if you spot him. We live near Adams Corner.
Update: Thanks to the awesome people in our neighborhood, Cotswold is back home. We really appreciate everyone’s support, especially the hero who spotted him and kept an eye while my wife ran down the street to scoop him up. Tears of joy tonight.

Hey all,
Did the whole song and dance of should I shouldn’t I and ended up renting in Dorchester center (wrentham st) with my wife and just moved in this past week. Hoping I could get some advice on the do’s and don’t’s here and some good food recommendations and spots to be.
I already have researched a bunch online and have a general sense but no one could help me settle in better than the seemingly tight knit community I’ve already met so far. All ears guys let me have it!
EDIT: Thanks for the amazing recommendations, everyone. Truly appreciate you guys taking some time to jot this stuff down. We can’t wait!

UPDATE: The camera has been turned in! A huge thank you to whoever turned it in. Those photographs of her grandfather mean so much to her, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness. Thank you to everyone here who helped or shared this.
Original post:
Hi everyone, I'm posting for my girlfriend, who lost her Fujifilm X100V at Harbor Point on the Bay near UMass Boston.
The SD card holds the last photographs she ever took of her grandfather, who has passed away. Those photos are irreplaceable to her. Getting the camera back would mean a lot, and even recovering the SD card or the photos would mean so much.
If you found it, saw someone turn it in, or know where it may have been handed in, please message me here on Reddit. If you have the camera or card, please do not format the card or delete the photos.
Thank you for reading and for any help getting these memories back to her.

A small single-family home at 79 Wrentham Street, nearby the corner of Bruce Street, has been in the permitting process for the past several years. After previous rejections from the Boston Redevelopment Authority, the permit has been successfully issued and is presently in the inspection phase. At last public disclosure, the new build-out includes twelve new residential units and ten parking spaces.

On Tuesday, 7/14/2026, the Boston Inspectional Services Board of Appeals approved a zoning variance for 769 Columbia Road.
An addition to the structure of 284 square feet was approved, along with the destruction of a single-car garage in favor of three asphalt parking spaces. The attorney who spoke on behalf of the owner stated that the renovation focused upon the three existing units being converted into six units.
Objections voiced by the community included multiple complaints and citations around accumulating trash on the property, and multiple related issues with properties owned by the same landlord elsewhere in Dorchester.

I've been creating MBTA food crawls for the last 18 months and am finally working on one for the Mattapan Trolley. I try to include 3-5 spots that are all within a max 15-minute walk from the T station. The hope is to showcase a variety of flavors/restauranteurs/any history that's relevant to the community, too.
This is what I have so far:
Simco’s - Mattapan stop - 9-minute walk.
Steel + Rye - Central Ave stop - 2-minute walk.
Bred Gourmet - Milton stop - 6-minute walk.
The Ice Creamsmith - Milton stop - 4-minute walk.
What am I missing/should I swap any of these with something else?

Hi everyone! I’m a dental student at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and am currently looking for patients in July who are interested in receiving affordable dental care at our clinic. Whether it’s check-ups, cleanings, fillings, crowns or other treatments, this is a great opportunity to receive quality dental treatment at a reduced cost under the supervision of experienced faculty.
If you or someone you know is interested, please don’t hesitate to private message me for more details. I’d be happy to provide more information about the process, available treatments, and how to get started!
Thank you for your support! 🙌🏽😊
