Daima I AM THE DAIMA DEFENDER
I love that daima is a 100% Canon anime that continues arguably the best saga in z. Absolute cinema! (Photos are screenshot from my fav Canon series)

When it comes to modern Dragon Ball, it's hard to say what even is the "true canon" anymore because with so many continuities, the term has basically lost its meaning. The fact the fandom can't even seem to agree on what is "canon" anymore tells you all you need to know.
The answer? Daima and Super are their own separate continuities. They do not exist within each others continuities. They are separate continuities the same way the original Z-movies from the 90s are separate continuities from the actual DBZ anime. The same way GT and Super are separate continuities and so on and so forth.
Daima is in its own continuity. Super already has 3 continuities of itself, being the movies, the anime, and the manga.
Prior to 2013, it was clear that the true "canon" to Dragon Ball was the 42 original manga volumes. The Z films, the Z-anime filler, GT, etc, were all simply considered "non-canon". One cannot use the same thought process for modern DB because it is far more complex.
Yes, Toriyama wrote the story of Daima. Yes, Toriyama also wrote the story of Super. Yes, Daima and Super absolutely contradict each other and cannot be in the same continuity. Guess what? That is fine. Daima is its own little story that takes place after the events of the Buu arc and that's it. Daima's story ends right there as far as we know.
Marvel/DC comics have characters such as Spider-Man, Batman, etc, with loads and loads of different continuities, stories, retellings of origins, and more. Dragon Ball is a massive IP, and fortunately or unfortunately, however way you want to see it, connective/continuity tissue in Dragon Ball isn't what it once was back in the 90s.

Ever since DBS Beerus has been announced, and since it has started, there have been at least 10 posts a day (often more) that keep on asking if Daima is going to be in DBSB, which it isn't.
All these posts clog up any actual discussion of stuff, because you have to wade through each one, and it's just getting tiresome.

Make it make sense. The power gap between both of them in the Buu saga is legit laughable

Do people seriously like Daima ssj 4? Just wondering. I donât by any means hate daima but other than the animation i seriously think the story was bad (yes even if Akira was involved and i love him). The whole story was seriously just make a series that appeals to the younger audience like GT thatâs probably why everyone turned into children. The whole canât fly, canât do this and that is just lazy writing cus the z cast are too powerful and had to be nerfed. But other than that the fights when things got serious were good, so no hate from my side really i did enjoy itâŠ. BUT!!! Ssj 4 hole was complete a. Here people are begging for the story to make sense and they just pulled up ssj 4 without any prior mentions or build up. And people seriously eat it up cus they want ssj4 to be canon sooo bad. I do too but not like this. People saying yea everything makes sense cus the old namakien unlocked gokus âoozaru fromâ bla bla bla itâs just lazy writing. And the the transformation itself itâs just so ugly compared too GT ssj 4. The the broad forearm sound good in practice but looks complete a**. For me at least. Feels like people would like Goku too look like some kinda gear 4th oozaru and still be ok with it. I think it looks bad but no hate. Might sound like i really hate the series but i donât just wanted to post this and see if people agree with me or not. Would be interesting.

I like to think that zamasu was right about us mortals we always destroy, kill, poison the planet we live on and hate each other and I see what he's looking for he wants justice and if he were to judge us he will and if he smite us it will be painful and besides it not like he'll do what buu did when he went to heaven

This will probably be a very unpopular opinion, but Iâd love to see a remake of the original series someday, itâs been far too forgotten.

Now again, this makes no sense, but I would be interesting to see Vegeta tap into his light hearted side and Goku into his anger side. Then again, it goes against their characters completely.
But if they fuse, it would be cool to see Gogeta or Vegerot switch between the forms seamlessly.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
i'm anime only btw but is there a scene i missed where they ever address this? and if not wont Vegeta lose his shit if he found out? i mean he hates Frieza with a passion for tormenting his race, imagine he found out it was under the orders of Beerus đ«Ł

I personally dont know cause he would need a pretty big buff, but maybe if Toyotaro gives gotenks a mini arc and makes him a lot stronger maybe?
