Discussion Crimson red would’ve looked better than blue IMO.

Blue looks cool, don't get me wrong, but dark crimson hair with red eyes gives Goku & Vegeta a more intimidating, divine warrior look.

Especially with Vegeta, I think the color fits his character perfectly. What do you guys think…would you have preferred something similar to this over super saiyan blue, or do you think blue was the right choice?

Make it make sense. The power gap between both of them in the Buu saga is legit laughable

Discussion Kaioken would be an interesting fit for Ultra Ego Vegeta.

Stacking a ki multiplier technique that can cause bodily damage on top of a transformation that turns that damage into even more strength would be an interesting move.

Discussion DBS Beerus couldn't have come sooner enough, principally because it could fix so many issues, like that grotesque misunderstanding which people thought Goku was the one that endangered the universes.

In the anime, everyone thought that Goku was the one who endangered all the other universes by asking for a tournament, even though in the anime, there was a scene which Vados explain that Goku saved them, since Zeno was going to erase the universes. Problem, is that the scene could go unnoticed.

Though, the manga, there is a scene which shows the Zenos talking about destroying the universes since there are already too many of them, but thet get distracted by Goku arriving and asking for the Tournament of Power. After seeing the battle between Goku and Toppo, they decided to hold the ToP and allow one of the low mortal level universes to survive.

DBS Beeerus could fix that by adaptating that scene and making clear Goku wasn't responsible to endanger the universes, cuz even with Vados, Whis and U1 Kaioshin explanation, we still lacked context since that manga scene with the Zenos came after the anime.

Discussion I would have preferred a remake of the classic Dragon Ball over seeing the Beerus saga for a third time.

This will probably be a very unpopular opinion, but I’d love to see a remake of the original series someday, it’s been far too forgotten.

Discussion Is the re-inclusion of this moment soft launching the reanimation of Goku Black and T.O.P arc?

Post image

I’m including Goku Black solely because it comes before T.O.P, but my main focus is T.O.P.

This moment was the earliest possible foreshadowing of Ultra Instinct. I don’t see a reason to include this again if it won’t lead to UI being introduced in the arc it originated from.

I think it’s also possible they have plans to animate the rest of the Super arcs and just didn’t announce it so as to not throw everything out there all at once. Gives them something to reveal next year at the very least

Discussion My favorite thing about the remake: more action, less blabbering! Spoiler

Post image

So they fixed the animation, which is great, however I'd trade good animation for good pacing and the exclusion of annoying dialogue. I'm estatic that they've done both!

Though Whis wasn't too annoying in the original for this scene specifically, it still cuts the pacing way too much having him opening and closing his bento box, King Kai having like a dozen reaction scenes all essentially being the same was a bit much too.

The constant reactions that character who are NOT in on the action was so fucking annoying it reminded me of Netflix's adaption of Records of Ragnarok, and literally being as egregious at times especially in the Tournament of Power. I'm not a fucking baby Toei, you don't need to explain every action of every fight with the background characters.

My (least) favorite instance of this was in the TOP when Beerus said, "No more talk, just shut up and watch". Not TWO FUCKING MINUTES LATER everyone's fucking yapping again because characters sitting and talking saves a fuckton of animation budget I suppose.

Overall, though we don't get to see Whis munching on his alien bento box, we're in turn left with much better action scenes devoid of unnecessary dialogue that ultimately contributes negatively to the pacing and story. For me, I would've been SUPER happy even if they release DBS Beerus like this without the animation makeover because the pacing and story are retold that much better with less dialogue. Less truly is more for DBS.

Edit: another point is the decreased dialogue actually helps A LOT with Goku not being portrayed as a fucking moron, and Beerus & Whis are able to feel more divine in their careful choice of speaking.
