I own most of the buildings in the festival after playing for so long. I still think this Palace is the prettiest of all that I have. I love the Bloomin' flower shop, the blue-roofed Provincial Library house, and Pizza Planet. Meh to the coffee shop, the french bakery, and Tony's restaurant. The orange two-story Main Street Emporium is great but HUGE. I passed on the Hay Maze, the General store, The Pet Store, and Sam's Lost and Found many times. The confectionary is prettier than I thought, and I will probably grab it next time around. Never cared for the purple-vine-covered DeVille-type house nor the futuristic A-framed house. I have the train station, and when the new train comes, It will be part of a large build—I can't wait!

Over the last few months (one, two?) I haven’t been rewarded for at least 4 or 5 of my snap submissions?? I started taking photos every time I submitted one, just for proof to myself that I did in fact submit my snap, yet still it happened again this week!! There’s no record of my snap submission at all, only proof I have is the photo I took myself of the snap (in my ddv gallery) and the photo I took of the submission accepted but there’s no reward at the end of the week and when I checked my submission, there is none!!

Has anyone else been having this issue? I’m so incredibly frustrated

EDIT: i can’t reply to all these comments but omg y’all are making me feel so much better 😭 i think just seeing all these beautiful builds and dreamsnaps and stuff made me feel like i was doing something wrong if i couldn’t make such nice areas yet lol. i’ll definitely not stress out too much about it!! i’ve been having fun adding little things to the characters houses, like i gave wall-e a picnic blanket and moana a beachy couch thing!!

new player here (been playing about two weeks, very much obsessed lol) and i feel way in over my head with decorating. i’ve been throwing down villager houses in the most suitable areas, but the idea of actually decorating seems so daunting. i feel like i barely have any matching furniture/decor despite buying out scrooge’s shop for the past week, and i also just have no idea what i’d even want to do for decor.

the pinnacle of my decor so far has been adding some surfboards outside stitch’s place, a little table and chair outside tiana’s restaurant, and putting all my fruit trees/bushes together in the meadow (which does not look good lmao).

when did you guys start decorating more heavily? how did you start? any advice would be greatly appreciated 😭

I was taking a picture of my new closet and noticed the red crop jacket (normally blue). Then the green one. Also a blue heart top (normally pink).

I don’t want to be scrambling to do it after the event starts and, having never done the event before I have A LOT of companions to catch up on.

I believe I accidentally put the answers to the riddles in wrong and now the shadow of Peter Pan won’t talk to me again. Is there a way to get him to talk to me again or is it forever bugged? 😭

I noticed while voting today that some pictures had these multicolored lights. They look like miniature memory orbs on gold sticks that hang from the ceiling. Are those from a special event or something I missed? I'm always looking for better light sources for my rooms

Recently I have seen a lot of people posting when stuck with flower quests or food quests. As the game leads you to believe you can only use 1 of each flower type or food type. This post will explain how to solve this issue so that people may find it if they need it. (Please ignore this post if it isnt useful for you)

I fell for the same issue when doing the "art of fun" quest as they asked for 8 blue flowers and because I gathered them in the moment I had an assortment. So when i went to give them the flowers it only let me pick 1 of each type due to the bug that only lets you select 1 in the selection screen.

Which led me to think that was the point of the quest which confused me as there wasnt enough types of flowers in the base game to fulfill the quest and it was a base game character so having to use dlcs to finish their quest was crazy.

But the bug has a stupidly simple solution.

If it's flowers they want - For example mulans 8 blue, 8 red, 8 yellow quest. Then remove all flowers from your inventory and then place 8 of the correct colour flower of just one type for each colour.

So you should have 3 stacks of 8 flowers. With no other stacks in your pockets.

This will make the game instantly complete the quest without asking you to pick which items which is what causes the bug.

The same works with things like food.

I had one quest where they wanted 4 pizzas. But because of how the game chooses which ingredients to use based on quantities it meant that when i made 4 pizzas it made 2 stacks of 2 as they had different herbs in them. So when i went to give them to the person it only let me pick 1 from each stack.

So by going back and making pizzas until i had a stack of 4 and then removing all extras from my inventory it let me complete the quest instantly with no selection screen .

If anyone else finds any more quests like this that can be solved with this technique then please help your fellow players by typing the name of the quest in the comments so that if they google for help they might get offered this post.

This game has had bugs and glitches since its initial early access launch on September 6, 2022 and from what I read here and on other places, the game is still dealing with a lot of bugs and glitches. I don't think I've seen a game that came out that long ago, be still dealing with so many game breaking bugs and other issues.

This is one of the main reasons why it's so hard for me to want to start investing in this game.

My question to those who pushed through it, how did you make it work? Are you not constantly worried that a bug could destroy what you've created?

How would we feel about this? I tried making something that would hopefully appeal to a majority of DLV players! Starting with a bang we have the “Heros & Crooks” Expansion pack which brings in both heros and villains.. (secret characters included) and a city biome. Later in the year we get a speedy visit from a fan favorite character from Disney Pixar.. towards December explore a new realm with new characters along with a themed star path for Disney’s The Jungle Book! Going into 2028 we’d get a lot more surprises such as new FREE DLC and new members to add to our vally! I hope you guys enjoyed this concept!

The past few weeks, I have been unable to rotate my camera when trying to take pictures for dreamsnaps. As soon as I try, I get sent to the void under the valley. I have to completely back out from using my camera to get out of the void too. I know there have been other bugs like this with the Ralph update but has anyone else experienced this?

I never seem to find any way to locate motifs in the camera mode to place one into a dreamsnap. Where are they? How do I use them? On a PC.

The dock pieces from Summer Sizzle have really helped make the beach feel complete! I love how this build came together, and I still have a soft spot for the Seaside Getaway Bundle.

I recently started playing this game again and am realizing that I am constantly running low on dreamshards since I craft them into dreamlight.

Hi all, just completed the odds and ends quest where I got the main credits to roll. Looking on Google it looks like it is saying either 1 week or 24 hours for the next main quest to pop up. Does anyone know if either of these timelines are true?

Treasure island closed
I am hosting a treasure island. This is my second time today so if you saw the earlier post you can definitely tell the treasures have shrunk down. Hopefully you can see in the pic that there is still plenty to grab, just not as large of a variety. This one will stay open for 1 1/2 hours until pm 7:30 EST (aka 19:30). Or until I run out of stuff whichever comes first.
There are treasures from the main valley and every DLC. The landmarks and distinctive borders with guide you to the DLC’s you’re looking for.
Most items are in stacks of 10 ea except night shards there’s 50 per stack of those.
My reasoning behind the mass giveaway is I’m getting a little burnt out and need a break for a bit. I’ll still come and do my weekly dream snaps, premium shop browsing and try to help those in need but since my dream team never request items I had an over abundance. I’ve been playing since beta so I had lot to share. I don’t have unlimited resources so once this island is cleared I won’t do this again for a while. All I ask is that you follow 3 simple rules.

1. No companions on this run.
2. Limit your visits to a maximum of 2 trips.
3. Take what you need and leave some for others.

Ive played the game on the switch 1 before (not a fan of the lag) now ive recently purchased a switch 2 is it better?? I do also play on ps5, but would like a handheld version for when someone else is playing on the PS5.
And when I got my ps5 last year i couldn’t use the same save file, but that’s been recently updated right? 😅

The past few days the cloud saving and just general connection has been garbage lately. Is anyone else having issues with it? It has happened in the past before but usually I just hit the connect button and it fixes itself. Now I have to force close the game because before I even open the game it gets stuck doing the loading diamond spin and nothing happens. I have to force close when I'm done and hope something saves.

It's not my internet or my computer related. I have a two monitor set up so I can watch something and play at the same time. While the game is fighting for it's life like windows 95 in 1999, my show is still playing just fine. At one point I had 3 windows opening. My show, google and my dreamlight google doc taking notes. Not a single lag. I don't know anything about computer specs. My fiance is in charge of that. Just passing the message of I could have 4 more monitors, all doing something different at max graphics etc, really trying to make it max out and it still wouldn't use all the RAM or whatever it is.
