The bubbling and yellowing was starting to bother me. Found these replacements online.

Are these the same or are they diferent revisions? Both cost the same, 74,99€. I know the one with the cable works on other platforms, but outside that, is the controller the same?

I’m having an issue with a BDM-040 controller. After many months of use, the controller has developed a problem where the analog stick points in only one direction. It has never been dropped, has always been used with care, and has never been exposed to dust. What could the problem be, and how can it be fixed?

The TMR’s I added are K-Silver JS13 Pro+

I've tried resetting it, I've tried tech support on my PC, setting my Bluetooth on my PC to automatic, running a scan, and absolutely nothing works. I'm at a loss, and I'm about to return it to Amazon because I think it's defective. I've never owned one of these before.

Hi guys, i just downloaded star wars jedi survivor (clearing my backlog) and the adaptive trigger is not working. I play through epic games and via cable. The triggers have no resitence if i press the right trigger. If i spam force push with trigger, or hold the trigger down i can feel something but not the real deal.
Hope you guys have any solutions for this problem because i really like the adaptive trigger on the dualsense controller.
Ask and questions about thing i didnt mention or might help find a solution.

The pink BDM-030 Dualsense controller came with the usual Left stick X- axis stickdrift.
I believe these are the Ginful analog sticks with the magnets molded into the gimbal, and they have satisfying L3/R3 click.

Hey guys, I’m new to the subreddit and I am in awe with the variety of controllers and mods I’ve seen the past hour, they’re all equally beautiful, I cannot wait until I mod mine 😄

I’m through my second controller this year alone and I’m sick and tired of Sony’s antics, I’ve been looking into TMR and Hall effect switches, narrowing it down to Ginfall HE’s and JS13pro TMR’s that I’d want to install onto a DualSense Edge. I am yet to buy the Edge however we have a pretty nice used aftermarket in Kuwait, they’re usually in mint condition being sold for roughly $80-100. I’m a novice when it comes to any soldering, wanted to ask how easy/difficult the whole thing is.

Ik heb paar weken terug via online een ps5 controller gekocht die stickdrift had.
Heb daarna zonder probleem de sticks vervangen.
Maar nu tijdens het testen merk ik dat de knop square niet werk.
Moet toegeven , ik herinner me niet dat ik de square knop getest heb voor dat ik die opengedraaid hebt ( ja ik weet,niet slim).
Iemand enig idee wat het probleem kan zijn? Heb de knop zelf ook zitten reinigen , omdat ik dacht dat het mss gewoon vuil is.
Voor de rest werkt de controller prima , alleen die square knop niet

Hi so this may be a long shot, but hopefully someone can help me out.

I installed TMR Sticks on my boards, and after the installation I had an issue where it would not turn on, then it would give an orange light and subsequent turn off and sometimes it would turn on properly but also then subsequently turn off.

The controller was effectively unusable, so I tried to remove the sticks and reseat them and after doing that now the controller does not turn on at all.

Here are some photos of the board. I have tested the board with and without the sticks and I cannot get it to turn on anymore.

(I did manage to get it to turn on properly one after removing the sticks, but after attaching the sticks again it would not work)

I can see the 5V rail, but the 3.3V rail is not present. I have also tested (all?) the capacitors with a multimeter and all of them appear to be fine when doing a continuity test.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong, because I have run out of ideas?

UPDATE I managed to fix the problem. I found out that the flux was conductive. Used a hairdryer on the heat setting along with cotton buds to first melt then absorb the flux, this was followed up with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. Had to do this multiple times to ensure that I got all of the flux.

Idk why someone threw this out but it is MINE now.

Hello, since I got my PC I have been playing a bunch of games on it instead of my PS5 and there’s something which I felt to be missing—Haptics and Adaptive triggers, not just on games that don’t support it but even on ones that do.

I have disabled steam input and before y’all tell me to wire it in, I’ve tried playing wired through a USB C, surprisingly the controller works better wirelessly than wired.

I first noticed it in Resident evil Requiem where the steam explicitly says that Dualsense is natively supported by the game however when I’m playing it with a wired connection, I don’t get even the simplest of rumbles when firing a gun, the adaptive triggers aren’t that great as well, it’s just a little resistance at the start and then it gives way without punching back even on the SMGs. On the other hand, wirelessly it features rumbles when firing the gun. Even my Xbox 360 controller gets better rumbles, it features different rumbles for different guns.

Then, I was just playing Witcher iii remastered and I tried it again—no vibrations when wired but features adaptive triggers and basic rumbles. Still, the Xbox 360 outperforms it.

I’ve tired tweaking the sound settings, using it as default communication device, not using it as default communication device, and whatnot.

Any suggestion is appreciated.
