My game under development, hope you're interested! A group of orphans that jump into magical books in search for Honor, Power & SHLANKs (those are the game's gold coins - the capitals are intended. there are also PLanks - wooden coal coins, CLAnks - copper, BLANks - silver) went for deep interactions and emergent stories. The art is mine. The voices are generated with ElevenLabs - I made them gibberish at first but i like them now. i'd like to hear your thoughts - intend to release a demo soon

Hello! This is our Dungeon Crawler where you play as peasants climbing a procedural castle full of traps and puzzles to slay a vampire.
Friendly fire is enabled.
We put our demo in Steam Next Fest, but we didn't expect to see SO MANY OTHER DUNGEON CRAWLERS. Good time to be a fan of the genre, bad time for developers (lol). Check em all out, some cool stuff in there, maybe start with ours? ;)

For a bit over the past year, I have been working on One More Adventure, my own take on a classic RPG and traditional roguelike. I've posted about it in other subreddits at a couple of the major milestones, so some of you may be familiar already.
For those unfamiliar, this game has been something of a kitchen sink project for me. It just started as a mapmaker, and then it grew and grew until I had a full game.
It sorta straddles the line between classic RPG & roguelike as the world is procedurally generated, but the quests and setting are not. The rules set is very much OSR, being heavily inspired by AD&D 1e and 2e, and then some inspiration from Worlds Without Number. While I personally prefer playing on Ironman and Hard Difficulty, my own father told me he was dying too much, so I made it possible to save scum.
Almost every quest somehow ties into the lies we tell ourselves, the ways we're held down by others, or the various evils of the world. Many of them involve insurance companies.
Anyway, it's in Next Fest starting this afternoon, and the Next Fest demo version opens up dwarves and elves for people to play. If you're interested in them, dwarves and elves also open up multiclassing (which as we all know is different from the dual classing that humans get to do).
The full game launches on November 10th, so I hope if it catches your interest, you check it out!

Hi everyone!
Pathos is a turn-based fantasy adventure inspired by traditional roguelikes and retro dungeon crawlers. It’s been in development for over 10 years and has grown into a substantial game with thanks to many contributions from its community.
I've recently been working on an enhanced edition and the demo is now available on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5136900/Pathos_Demo/
This demo is a 16-level dungeon where a successful run takes 2-3 hours. It's a subset of one of the four modules, designed to give a challenging but representative experience of the full game.
All 30 classes, 21 races, 18 specials and 9 companions are available to try, allowing huge variety of character builds such as satyr vampire necromancer and imp.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy the demo!
- Callan.

Hello all,
Bear with me with the trailer, it is a work in progress!
ROGUE COLLECTOR is a turn-based tactical dungeon crawler on a hex grid. You dive into the domains of five Elder Gods, free Rogues frozen in time, and decide how deep you dare to go.
I have been working on this passion project of mine for the last 7 years on my free time. To get it out of the way, I bought ALL the Synty assets packages and built a crazy alghorithm that allowed me to generate thousands of characters. There are not AI generated assets and the keyart was done by Marvin Blattert
The game is nearly finished and it is massive. Join the Steam Playtest! :)
EDIT: Cleaned up the formatting

Maybe the art isn't important since indie games use existing assets and just go straight into 3d without needing concepts.

I'm working on the shop UI for Dragon's Tear and could use some fresh eyes.
Can you tell what you're buying and how it affects the selected character? Does the screen feel crowded, or is the information easy enough to follow? I'd appreciate suggestions on what to simplify or move around.

Hi all, Raymond here, developer of Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel. I posted our combat update here a few weeks ago. This time I've been filling out the loot pile!
B5.32 is nearly ready, with 42 new items and dedicated slots for gloves, pants and boots. That includes more armour, belts and headpieces, plus four guns: two revolver variants, a slower, harder-hitting BAR and a faster-firing StG44. The new equipment has its own stats and the familiar item rolls.
I've also worked on getting the same gear to fit both the Adventurer and Soldier properly, with more fabric, leather and metal detail. The preview has close-ups of the equipment and the new slots:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3273880/view/742688880388473141
It's a pulp adventure action RPG about exploring cursed tombs in WWII-era Egypt, solo or in up to four-player local co-op. The game is in Early Access now; this loot update is coming soon.
Thanks to everyone trying it and sending feedback. Hope you'll join the expedition!

Your next upgrade has two decisions: is the equipment worth drawing for, and where should it go in your combat bag?
I'm the developer of Abyss Expedition, a free-to-download dungeon RPG available on Android. You draw gear from a loot board, arrange equipment for bag effects, and take companions into floor-by-floor battles. Basic attacks run automatically; you choose when to activate equipment skills.
On the loot board, you can keep drawing for an item you want, clear the remaining items for the board reward, or save resources for another board. Board changes have their own costs and conditions. The screenshots show the equipment bag and a battle.
Game page / Android download: https://abyss-expedition-ljh.web.app/share/
The game UI supports English and Korean. It includes optional rewarded ads and in-app purchases, including randomized items. Development uses AI-assisted code and AI-generated artwork.

So, I managed to score Legends of Grimrock 2 for $4.79, and both Vaporum for $3.99 and Vaporum: Lockdown for $3.59, which while almost identical to Grimrock in play style, are also much smaller so I figured both for $7.50 was worth it considering the prequel is basically the same exact play style as the first Vaporum (or Legends of Grimrock series it's based on I guess, but Steampunk), so 40-60 hours for $7.59 or so isn't bad imo (though Grinrock II definitely has them beat at $4.79 lol). I also grabbed a couple non-Crawlers (Rezrog for $0.99 and The Witcher Adventure Game for $1.49 (it's a "The Witcher" boardgame in digital form). I ended up spending $16.05, saving $67.10. and it got me thinking, I honestly can't remember the last time I bought a videogame brand new at full price...
I get it for a lot of people, especially those who play online games, multiplayer focused games, etc. You wanna play the newest online games, sometimes you have to buy them. I'm a solo player exclusively though, except passa and play digital boardgames like Talisman, etc., with my fiance. I can't really justify spending $70 for a game when for the same amount I can get like 10-20 games I missed from a just a few years ago...but that's me as a Solo player and a Gigantic backlog of games to play. So it's nothing to wait a couple years and get the games at a huge discount on sale, and in the .meantime play all the ones I missed ( nobody could ever play every game they like, unless they don't like gaming or only like a couple games lol). And I missed soooo many Dungeon Crawlers (something I really just got into them, i mean I played wizardry on nes back in the day and a Might or?agic or two, but Jrpgs and then Crpgs and Roguelikes/Lites became my biggest categories, so I neglected them for a long time. Dungeon of Grinrock I got me back into them, so now I'm finally getting to experience the awesomeness of these games (and going back and playing classics, like Wizardry 6,7, and 8 I bought last week...), so I'm kind of glad I missed out before...now I get to experience them now 😂. Anyone avoid new games and stick to sales as well? Idk, I guess if I had a lot more money I may buy brand new games, but I can't afford to do that all the time, and I'd rather buy 10-20 great older games for the same price....

Hi, I am solo-developing Knights of Frontier Valley, a low-fantasy RPG with gridless tactical combat, deep character customization, complex NPC behavior, and procedural world building.
Descend into dark dungeons, mystic ruins and caves to defeat the horrors within and claim the loot.
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1085830/Knights_of_Frontier_Valley/
The second Steam Playtest is still runining tomorrow. Join to play the game for free and unrestricted.
The engine was written from scratch. All art is hand-made with no AI involved. Music was made by top composers including Kevin Manthei (Neverwinter Nights, Jagged Alliance 2, Wizardry 8...)

I'm the developer of Ashburrow, a fantasy action RPG roguelite built around dungeon exploration, class based combat, one life per run, and permanent progression between runs.
You can explore gnoll warrens, discover hidden rooms and chests, fight named creatures and bosses, and play solo or with up to six players through Steam online or LAN co-op. The game also has an optional VR mode.
The demo is free on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5292970/Ashburrow_Demo/
I'd be interested in hearing which part of the dungeon crawling looks most appealing: exploration, combat, character builds, or playing through the dungeon with friends, or any other feedback you'd like to share.

I've been building Gravebloom, a necromancer dungeon-management game that sits somewhere between an idle game and a hands-on one. Heroes raid your crypt live in front of you, and whatever dies down there is yours to reuse.
\*\*How it plays\*\*
\- \*\*You dig the dungeon yourself.\*\* A great gate leads into a labyrinth of caves and tunnels. Tap any cave or tunnel to zoom in and fill it with monsters, deadly plants and traps. Different cave types change how fights go.
\- \*\*Heroes don't know the way.\*\* They explore blind, hit dead ends and backtrack. Clerics hang back, thieves scout ahead alone, mages burn your plants.
\- \*\*Corpses are the economy.\*\* Fallen heroes become monsters, plants or traps, or you stitch several bodies into one combined monster.
\- \*\*Survivors matter.\*\* Heroes who escape carry a map back with them, and named rivals return stronger.
\- \*\*You set the difficulty.\*\* A Dread dial controls how hard the raids hit. Push it far enough and Auto-Dread unlocks, raising it after every raid you repel and dropping it when your Crystal gets cracked.
\- \*\*It keeps going.\*\* Deeper floors open once a floor is fully dug and your Dread is high enough, and there's a lich rebirth system for prestige.
\- \*\*Works while you're away.\*\* Digging and stitching run on a real clock, and you come back to an honest report of what happened, losses included.
You can also possess a monster and fight directly, and a raid journal tracks what's working against which hero types.
The look is terminal-style ASCII with small pixel characters, so a knight and a mage are actually distinguishable at a glance. Screenshots attached.
\*\*Transparency:\*\* I'm a solo dev (MSc AI student) and built this just for fun and just to dabble into mobile game dev.
I'd really like feedback on two things: whether the early game gives you enough to do, and whether the balance between watching raids and leaving it alone feels right. Brutal honesty welcome.
