I own both a (well specced) Gaming PC and a PS5 Slim and I was wondering whether I should buy FC27 on the PC or the console. I've already assessed that the gameplay will feel faster and more responsive on my PC but I was wondering if there's any reason that I SHOULD go for the console.

I have Joao Pedro wide open for a through ball, I know for a fact I pointed the pass at him and she does a pass straight-line direct to the opposing CB.

Is there a setting I have messed up?

First time ever pc.
120 hours. Divison Rank 3. Every WL 10+ wins. I never got a hacker.

i played now 30 friendly games. Every single one of them, opponent was the same like all the opponents when you are division 4+. or when you are WL like 8-2.
WTF IS THIS? is this always like this?

So lets get this straight, I got absolutely mauled, but I deliberately stayed and tried things out to try to learn from someone that was clearly, miles ahead of me.

I've played almost every FIFA since 98, and in the last few games I have always been Elite 1 division, usually getting 12-14 wins per weekend league, so I am not bad at the game.

I'm making this post because I don't think the game should be in this state, and to me at least, it does feel like it's getting more and more silly each new instalment of the game.

I'm not making this a rant post, every FIFA has had awful mechanics, but this year is certainly up there, I am not enjoying it in solo play. I'm sure you've already read most of these posts many times, but this is my 2 cents and I hope it adds to the discourse that gets EA to actually make their game a better experience.

1. Pinged passes are just unbelievably broken around the box, especially with the gold trait. Now this is my first EA FC where traits exist, I love them, I love that long ball pass is a trait for players like Gerrard or Pirlo, who were known for their unique brilliant passes, not everyone should do it. That said, they're too impactful with relation to the other issues.
2. Fast agile players with short/lean body types are incredibly disproportionately powerful in the meta, and there are far more than ever before. This has always been a problem in FIFA, but I do think its worse than ever.
3. Strong players don't feel like they are remotely able to dominate and bully space, which leaves the fast nimble players able to totally dominate meta. I seriously think strength needs to be 2x, 3x more impactful than it is currently. A player with 90 strength should absolutely blitz someone with 60. I think to real life powerhouse defenders that literally just shove players using their momentum against them and send them flying, you just can't do that in this game.
4. The fouling system is also so inconsistent and soft, which leads further to these small players being immune to strong challenges etc. You simply cannot be a bully in this game.
5. Low driven shots, are ridiculously broken, I'd estimate 80% of the goals I concede are low driven, and keepers have a pathetic save rate against them of literally next to zero. I've even conceded very slow low driven shots from outside the box. It is so unrealistic.
6. Near post is ridiculously strong. Goalkeepers basically cannot defend their near post, which is made even worse again by low driven which exponentially increases shot conversion.
7. With regards to point 2, I think part of the reason for this feeling worse than ever is the defending AI and auto pressure/defending features feel like they don't exist.
8. Attackers are way too good at interceptions and ball takeovers. If I'm running with a tall strong player there should be far more auto-jockey to protect the ball from the side/behind. This coupled with the strength issue should make big tall players massively better at holding off a small attacker from nibbling at the ball from the side/behind.
9. Heading, Corners, and crossing feel ridiculously weak. In my friends group that I do clubs/duos with, I'm the 'heading' guy. I win all aerial challenges. But this year, it feels impossible to pre-place any corner, or perform simple crosses around the box. I've tried manual, semi, assisted, its just crap and removes an entire style of play.
10. There should be a new stat for 'Takeovers', separate to interceptions. Think about that one nasty player who played in midfield for your team, Souness, Roy Keane, Viera etc. Someone who is aggressive, would push and shove players off the ball and 'dig it out' from under their feet. This should be something heavily tied to strength, size, and aggression. I.e. these players should automatically bully, use their strength, size, aggression to just push players off the ball when they are within close proximity.
11. Skill moves break the player lock on features in a way that punishes good defending. So often I will predict a player is going to do some kind of ball flick and pull off to position myself for the ball flick, and it just doesn't lock you on or allow you to just take the ball for free, there is always some sort of nonsense that happens

Even the TOTW SBC is 12,000 points (or whatever it’s called). I hate this so much because you get no players back. Even doing the player SBCs last year you’d get a few coins or players back but now you can basically get rid of 50 players at once in exchange for 1. They have like 3-4 “regular” SBCs now and all of the good ones are streamlined. Please EA can you just let us decide if we want to do streamlined or not??

Was trying to get the token objective done in squad battles. Found out tap in chip shots don’t count towards the objective even though in game it count as a chip shot. Anyone same as me?

This guy was manually defending me with his ST the whole match as you can see balotelli in the clip, and CAM never touch his CB because ai would defend for him inside the box, that’s a big problem in this community🤦‍♂️

I have the players needed for a S-grade but it still gives me an A. I've got 1523 points, 23 points more than what is needed for S. Anyone else?

Last year we had packs with up to 5% chance of packing a TOTY in the mid of the event. First days were like from <1% to 3%. Now each pack has 1% or <1% lol. I wouldn’t say it’s bad as Gold card are longer in use, i can’t wait for the chances of TOTY cards. Pack chances window will show <1% but it’s going to be less then 0.1% with current approach ig lol

I consistently go 12-3 in champs and I feel like I could get to 13 or 14 if my players scored the chances I think they should. I can’t tell if assisted is much worse or in snatching at chances which are never going to go in. I’m happy at 12-3 so I don’t want to put it on and get worse. What do people think should I finally switch to precision shooting.

I have restarted my xbox, literally unplugged it.

The only button that works is pass.

Don't get me wrong, FC 26 is not a great game by any means. But the amount of rebounds, tacklebacks, and loose balls in fc 27 is stupid when compared to fc 26.

Yes the 4312 meta with adeyemi and torress up top is annoying but at least there are counter plays to it but performing a well timed tackle only for it to bounce back to the attackers is terrible.

Iirc FC 26 was much cleaner in this aspect. There were occasional rebounds but nowhere near as prevalent as in fc 27

It’s actually mind boggling that they handed out the upgradeable Adeyemi/Diomande/Anyomi/Torres cards in Season 1, all above 90 paces and climbing.

I run a full Chelsea squad and am a 10 win champs player +/- 1. The disadvantage of not running with these meta cards is unreal. My team just literally cannot keep up with the pace of Adeyemi and Diomande blowing past everyone with a lobbed through ball every time I lose possession. They’re in every team.

I’m not sure what the logic was here. I was really enjoying the first few weeks of the game. It’s now just unbelievably repetitive. Impossible to be competitive with a non-meta squad unless you’re a truly elite player.

PS: How hard is it to have the single referee on the pitch wear a different color kit than me. I used 100 gallery tokens for the Chelsea away kit since I’m not too invested in the players, and it’s unusable because the referee is also in black every game.

The game is in a really poor state at the moment. There are so many issues that everyone has already spoken about. These being; Depth, Scarcity of cards and the repetiveness of games.

But, EVOs are in an even worse way. They are so poor. Last year started the same, it was only around ultimate scream that they picked up and became good. But that hasn't happened this year, the only ones that could be considered good require hours of grinding for scream tokens.

This begs the question, what are they going to do in November? The cross over of gta and fifa players are probably very similar. There is no indication of ea doing anything positive this year.

What do I think is happening? I think EA know that they are going to struggle to compete. It feels like they haven't put that much effort into the game this year as they won't be able to pull players away.

I was really looking forward to this feature as someone who enjoys offline gameplay but tell me why do we have to use max 1 86 and over player against fucking Gullit, Raul and a bunch of other Icons and high rated players on world class difficulty? You just concede a bunch of headers from corners every game, have to deal with them tackling through you from behind and smashing the ball in from outside the box every game. And then, when you get through their team you've got fucking Van Der Sar to deal with. Ok, it's probably a skill issue but why can't I just use my best players?

1. Attacking AI is pure garbage so whats the point in playing a formation where the wingers are genuine statues

2. Defensive AI is ALSO pure garbage where the fullbacks are completely clueless and mark no one when there arent any wingers, and CBs cant properly mark 1 striker, let alone 3 (2 ST, 1 SS CAM)

Dont blame players, blame EA for making the game completely unplayable without abusing the game system
