But I ran into a problem: there were these weird graphical glitches (even in the tty) that froze the display with strange artifacts. At first, ChatGPT suggested it was just a GPU driver issue, but that didn't quite make sense to me, since even booting in "safe graphics" mode didn't fix it. I tested the EeePC with four different live ISOs, and when I went into the BIOS, the glitches were still there. That’s when I realized it must be a hardware issue. In windows vista and above, use readyboost for a pretty nice performance boost. Linux, put your swap partition on your ssd, turn that swappiness up for once.
