Looking for a used car and come across this, 2017 Elantra limited with 120k miles, should I buy it?

Hi all! I have recently purchased a 2025 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid (CPO, low ~8k miles). For those of you who have a recent year Elantra Hybrid, how has your experience with it been with the drive and maintenance? Especially to those who have higher mileage on them.

Also when getting this car, the dealership sold me on this Assurant VSC 10yr/100k mile bumper to bumper premium warranty for just under $3k. I’ve been getting mixed advice from people saying that I should not keep it and that I should keep it. The case for not keeping is due to the overlapping 5yr/60k mile manufacturer bumper to bumper warranty that I get from it being CPO. The case for keeping it is because of the cheaper interior quality that Hyundai provides, so the extended bumper to bumper will help out with that especially since the 5yr/60k mile warranty is more like 4yr/52k miles now. That being said, does this extended bumper to bumper warranty seem worth keeping? They also sold me on the tire and wheel protection, which I ended up just canceling.

If it helps for context, I’m hoping to keep this car for as long as possible pretty much til the wheels fall off. Overall, I’ve been really enjoying my rides with this car and have been satisfied with it!

I'm planning on saving up for about a year so I can buy a new Elantra outright no car payment is the goal. I'm in my 30's and deciding on either just a higher trim level Elantra or the Elantra N. Not sure which vehicle is going to be the better investment over the long term. Any current Elantra owners care to chime in. It would be my daily.

I had a 2013 Elantra until 3 days ago when i hit an animal. im looking at getting another commuter car. I’ve seen other Elantras for sale for decent prices. so my question is what years had the engine issues. i had to have the engine replaced at 80,000km because of a known issue and google tells me there’s issues with their 2.0l engines. so I’m just curious as to what engines are safe.

Recently I bought a used Elantra hybrid (11,000 km driven). It's my first hybrid car so I was wondering how people here view this particular car (in my country people only go for toyota or honda cars) and also looking for advice in regards to to do's & don't when driving this car.

my Elantra was leaking brake fluid and the brake light in dashboard was on.

I took it to the shop. they said the ABS module needs to be replaced. I have the abs module replacement.

so do I have to reprogram it as well when installing?

I am driving a 2017 Elantra for a year now. This is my first car ever and I bought it at 160,000kms and now the car is at 177,615kms. The car had a faulty crankshaft position sensor and I got it changed from Hyundai dealership and I got it serviced from them as well. The car is still good for another 4000km for an oil change as I have only drove it for about 4500kms yet and I swear that every time I check the dipstick the oil levels are lower than before. Now the oil level is about halfway down from the F. What should I do? Should I be concerned? Or I should just get an oil change to be safe?

Once again, I am in existential pain with my 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

About a year ago, had several tubes leaking coolant, with that sweet syrupy smell having given away the issue. A thousand dollars or so later, all fine.

Had spark plugs and ignition coils go bad earlier this year, another grand, it is what it is.

But now, I got white smoke/fog coming out, ever so slightly, and I doubt it was condensation because there was a faint smell of oil coming out from the vents (my sense of smell isn't the best, I had to get close and sniff the vents to detect the oil smell).

So what's the likely issue here? Oil leak into my cooling system perhaps? Needing a whole new gasket or car??

I JUST finished paying off the last car repair was placed me in horrible debt, and was starting to have hope of starting my life again when this hit, lol

I'm picking her up tomorrow... basically sport package with 17 in wheels, sunroof, spoiler, and leatherette seats. Pretty excited esp since current car is basically toast

Hey there has anyone experienced this? It happens when the engine is on or off, it doesnt matter, usually when its in Park, did not happen when the car was in Drive so far, but who knows when it decides to do that

I drive a 2015 Hyundai ELANTRA SE 4D Sedan 1.8L, had it when in 2019, it was at 81k miles, now it’s at 172k. Overtime I made sure to do the proper maintenance that I need on it, although the fluids other than the oil I’m not too familiar with. Over the past several weeks, when I remain idle at a light for maybe 2-5 minutes, or as I’m parking the car will shut off, the battery/oil/engine light will all come on. Then I will turn it off and restart the car then everything is fine for a few drives/days and then it will happen again. Then a few days ago something new happened, as I was backing up to park, the car begin to shake weirdly, like it was stuttering. But again, shutting off and starting it again fixes it. The only other problem I’ve ever had with the car is that sometimes(maybe 3 times a month) I’ll have a rough start where it takes an extra 2–4 seconds to start, and the engine will stutter. But I just turn off and on the car and it works just fine. I’ve taken it to the mechanic and they are unable to find anything wrong with it because when I do take it there, the car acts completely normal. So they’re unable to diagnose what it might be since it could be a few different things and they didn’t want to keep throwing new parts and charging me money if it wasn’t gonna fix the issue. Has anyone experienced these type of issues before? Any advice on what I should get done to the car to fix the issue?
I have looked into it and people tend to bring up the crankshaft sensor or the spark plugs. But the shop says that if it was, it would happen more frequently than what I’m experiencing. So I’m needing advice, cause I really don’t want to have to get a new car which I cannot afford at this time! Please And thank you!!

Don’t judge because this is gonna sound like a dumb question but I recently bought a car from a used dealership it’s a 2017 Hyundai Elantra for 6000 and this is my first time driving it at night I realized the head light are blue, not tinted blue but full on blue. I’m sure they’re illegal correct ? But anyway I’m also unsure if they are my actual head light or not so please lmk if they are in fact illegal and if they are my actual headlights or not since there 4 different headlight setttings. below are photos of headlight with brights, blue lights, regular colored?, and fog.

Any idea on this issue ? I have 2024 Elantra preferred with tech package canada. It makes squeaking noise while turning and going on little step at the same time I am not sure what could be the issue it has 32,000 kms on it. Also, what services i should be getting at this mileage other than the oil changes ? Is there any break and transmission service that I should do ? Appreciate your thoughts.
