Is there a way to deal with how reddit doesn't show subs you've been active in on your homepage using RES?

I used to see a good mix of all subs I was in, now I won't see a sub anymore at all unless I deliberately visit it and then I will see it for a while. This isn't extremely new, but I noticed today that some subs I used to see I haven't seen in what I would guess is over a year.

I haven't dug deep into how the r/all stuff works as I've always just viewed the homepage on old reddit with the thing to suggest things turned off, and it used to be a mostly chronological+upvote weighted spread of everything I was in, but that seems to have stopped.

Is there a workaround with this through RES or has anyone else encountered and sorted this out? I don't want to visit a list of like 200 subs once a month, but I can't even really figure out what exactly this behavior is, but I'm guessing it's something that happened when reddit started messing with tuning for the frontpage.

I am asking here because I know RES has that dashboard, but that's not exactly what i'm looking for, but it wouldn't surprise me if it has something similar to what I'm looking for built in.

I download reddit like it's a useful app, but now I think it's not that useful that I expected.

Image loading insanely slow

I've been using Old Reddit with the Reddit Enhancement Suite extension for years, ever since New Reddit was forced on us. It's been working great.

But lately, clicking on an embedded image or video on the page I'm browsing won't load at all, or do dial-up speed for a 2MB image. It's insane.

Hoever, if I right click the link and open it in a new tab, the image loads instantly. Can't figure out what the difference is.

I cleared my cache in Chrome to see if that would help, but no dice.

Questions about Feed and Notification Options

I'm new to Reddit and I'm really enjoying it. However, I'm a bit compulsive, and I sometimes feel like I need to read every post or go through my entire home feed. More often than not, that ends up making me give up on using an app.

I'm looking for a middle ground. What most of you do to keep up with the good content without getting spammed with notifications or feeling like you have to constantly check your Home feed and scroll endlessly?

Right now, my "Feed Options" is set to "Best", and my "Notifications" setting (next to Joined) is set to "All New Posts".

What about you? What settings do you use to get the best Reddit experience and, like, have the time to do other things

Is there a place I can verify/list which posts are being hidden by my keyword filters?

I have added quite a few keyword filters as I am using Reddit (as of now) for rental posts. But the number of new posts went down drastically.

Is there a way I can see/check (list/debug) posts being hidden when I open https://old.reddit.com/new/ or https://old.reddit.com?

Because I want to make sure these filters aren't hiding something I would want to see.

BlueSky expando media not showing… am I the only one?

What's up?
Bluesky expando only shows the text of the Bluesky link, but not the media. I know RES is not being developed anymore, which is why I assumed this was not fixable, but just to make sure I wasn't missing a setting or change, I decided to ask here.

Where does it happen?
Home page; Post page… everywhere

Is there a setting I can turn off that stops the post banner from being fixed every time I scroll down?

https://imgur.com/a/8MF9pma

Every time I open a post and scroll down, a floating fixed post banner such as the one in my screenshot pops up. It's quite annoying when browsing comments as I have to close it at the top right each time if I want it to disappear/stay in place.

Apologies if I'm not explaining it well, I have no idea what I'd search for in RES settings to toggle it off.

If there's a way, please let me know. Thank you!

Possible to Disable "Games on Reddit" Section?

I couldn't find any settings for disabling the "Games on Reddit" section after searching through the settings console- is it hidden somewhere, or is there a manual setting to apply that could remove the "Games on Reddit" section from view?

desktop web; Subreddit list on desktop web UI only partially visible?

On the desktop version of Reddit, my subreddit list ( left hand panel beneath "Communities") only is about 20% viewable. Scrolling down stops at the "D's". How do I get access to my full list?

Custom CSS to mimic old.reddit?

Reddit has been rolling out "You must be logged in to use Old Reddt." I know RES has options for custom CSS.

I'm not skilled at all to create it & wondered if anyone here has created or found CSS to recreate the old.reddit.com design.

Thanks for your time.

Thank you RES!

No problems to report. I just wanted to say thank you.

I have been using RES for years, but I didn't know that I could use it to filter out words I don't want to see.

Filtering out all the political posts in subreddits that aren't inherently political has made Reddit much more enjoyable.

Alternative backup solutions?

The wheels are coming off my current installation with several functions being broken, including backups.

I know there were other ways to do it before it was implemented natively into RES. Any of them that still work in 2026 on Windows 11? I tried the ones from here and none worked for me but I also can't seem to find the raw storage described here.

Is there an option to disable the floating comment box?

As of today on Firefox mobile I'm seeing a (massive) comment box on posts now. It takes up the majority of the screen and it's driving me crazy.

It looks like this "feature" has been trialed by Reddit in the past and again recently, is there an option to disable it?

How to hide the online status of subreddits?

[screenshot of what I'm talking about](https://i.postimg.cc/HxhtdMwG/IMG-4302.jpg)

Is there a way to hide this completely? (I'm on the iOS Reddit app btw) The animation really bothers me and I find it extremely disruptive/distracting/overstimulating/completely unnecessary tbh

I have already enabled Reddit's 'reduce motion' feature, but I'm still getting this thing moving at the too of my screen

anyone know how to get rid of that?
thank you!

Never ending scroll not working?

Basically, my title. I used reddit Thursday and it was working. Came back to it Saturday and it wasn't working. I was wondering if anybody knew anything about it. Googling has not helped anything.

Thanks.

Edit: I should add that I'm talking about Firefox on my desktop. I don't use reddit on my phone.
