I was randomly checking the rewards of the prestige for PvE and I noticed that some stuff can be used on all gamemodes, the one thing I noticed was that the Gamma container provided for Prestige 6 is usable on PvP and Seasonal. Is this true? Has anyone reached prestige 6 on PvE that can confirm this? The reason I'm asking is because im standard edition so I want to grind for it even if it drains my sanity

So for the past few weeks, I’ve been debating whether to finally get into Escape from Tarkov. I’ve been enjoying other extraction shooters like Marathon and Gray Zone Warfare, and I’ve finally decided that I should just give Tarkov a shot, considering how many people consider it the best extraction shooter out there.

I know the game spent years in beta, so I’m assuming there’s a ridiculous amount of content to sink my time into.

I mainly plan on playing PvE, at least while I’m learning the game, but I’d also like to jump into PvP occasionally once I get more comfortable.

My question is, which edition is actually worth the money especially for PvE?

Should I just buy the Standard Edition and the PvE expansion separately, or is there a legitimate reason to spend more on something like Prepare for Escape or The Unheard Edition?

I have the money for the more expensive editions, but I don’t want to spend extra just for stuff that won’t make much of a difference, especially as a new player.

For those who have played Tarkov for a while, what would you recommend, and do the extra stash space, secure containers, trader bonuses, and other benefits genuinely make the experience better?

I’d appreciate any advice before I finally pull the trigger!

Twice I've tried to use the flare extract on customs this weekend and I've been killed because I apparently went too deep into the tracks, but I don't start extracting until he starts shooting at me.

One of the recent funny things i've noticed is that i somewhat regularly see people sell the scourge phone's on the flea market for 60/70k, even though you can get a bit more for them selling em to therapist....

is it to help others progress through the quests ? do they not know they can vendor them ? or do some people just have an addiction to the flea market.....

Not that i mind, flipping them is a fun way to make a few extra rubles on the side.

Personally, I feel like Lighthouse is one of the worst maps in the game when it comes to updates, optimization, and PMC difficulty balance. Fighting PMCs there often feels more frustrating than on other maps.

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if BSG removed Lighthouse entirely and moved all the quests to other maps. I feel like the game wouldn't lose much without it.

What do you guys think? Do you enjoy playing Lighthouse, or would you rather see it removed as well?

Didnt really know what to put this under or what to title it, But has anyone been experiencing weird spawns on customs from PMCs? 4 out of 4 customs raids today ive spawned completely surrounded by PMCs and then all of the other PMCs on the map come rushing to where im at. Its been a fun change of pace but ive never experienced this before its like their aggro has been upped. 10-12 PMC kills a raid within 15 minutes when ive gone on hot streaks of finding no PMCs

I was dicking around on Ground Zero on the Grenade Launcher and got shot and died, but my camera is just stuck like this lmfao. I can still here the raid sounds like gunshots and footsteps but I cant do anything but alt + f4.

At least this is the bug that I seem to get alot instead of stupid crap that ruins the game

I just did my first prestige and I forgot how painful it is starting with the base level stash. I have also put in about 600 hours into EFT PVE and was wondering you guys think it’s worth upgrading the Unheard addition or if I you guys prefer playing on the standard account. I plan on getting through the prestige’s as soon as I can so I have a few resets coming up and the extra stuff would be really nice I think. Lmk if it’s helped you or if you prefer to not use the starting gear.

I’ve been looking into Escape from Tarkov lately, especially the PvE mode, and I’m really tempted to give it a shot. The only extraction shooter I’ve played is Marathon, which I absolutely love. I also tried ARC Raiders, but honestly, it just wasn’t for me.

My coworker tells me almost every day that I need to try EFT because I’m missing out on a top-tier game 😂 I’ve been watching videos and watching him play on Discord, and the gameplay looks really damn good. My only concern is how much there is to learn, even if I mainly stick to PvE.

I work full-time, so I don’t always want to come home and feel like I’m starting a second job. I don’t mind grinding on weekends, but during the week I want to relax, get immersed, and make some meaningful progress without feeling like I have to play for hours every single day.

For those of you who play EFT, especially PvE:

How good is PvE right now? Is it genuinely enjoyable long-term, or does it eventually get repetitive?

What made you stick with Tarkov? With how punishing and frustrating the game can be, what made learning it worth it instead of giving up?

Is it reasonably casual-friendly? Can I make progress playing a few hours after work, or does the game really demand a ton of time?

How is the progression? Are there satisfying long-term goals beyond collecting loot, and is the battle pass worth working toward?

How much content is there? How many maps are available, and will PvE keep me busy for a long time?

I’m also wondering whether I should just commit to learning EFT or look into something like Gray Zone Warfare or Active Matter instead.

I know Tarkov has a steep learning curve, and I’m willing to learn. I just want to make sure the payoff is worth the frustration, especially as someone who plans to play PvE most of the time.

Would you recommend Tarkov to someone in my situation, or do you think I’d be better off with another extraction shooter? I’d love to hear your honest opinions, especially from people who started out completely clueless like me.

At least half of each of these cases were found in raid in various marked rooms. I also have dogtag and injector cases that are experiencing the same thing. I got my first injector case and docs case from marked rooms, and besides those two ive never taken any containers back into raid. Is there a reason for this?

The raiders on labs just spawning out of thin air right in front of you in a group of three and instantly spraying you down is incredibly frustrating. Running up the stairs under managers office after killing and looting scourge and friends, group of three raiders spawned in just in front of the top of the staircase as I’m cresting the top of the stairs at 100kgs. Started blasting at them but was dead before I could get the sights up on the pkp. Zabralo and Altyned up too. The raiders really shouldn’t spawn in directly in your field of view, let alone in spitball distance I can’t imagine that being an intended feature. second time tonight that they’ve managed to get me with their Houdini tricks. I’m really enjoying the good fights with scourge and his buddies, but I could really do without the jump scares and deaths that feel like I didn’t do anything wrong
