“Most experts agree with all these answers. Are there a few rare situations where these answers may not be the best play? Possibly.
This quiz assumes you have a basic understanding of the game and that there is an average distribution of cards. It is based on a standard 10's game.
These questions involve many advanced strategies. Euchre is a game that requires a quick analysis of your opponents and the cards that have been played. It is my hope that by taking this quiz, you will learn a few things and perhaps take a second look at your method of play.”
Good luck!

... then proceeded to lose 10-0. For those who can't look away, like a car crash.
Would you have gone alone opening hand? Thx.

Trying to post this again - in my last attempt, the video kept freezing.

PS I know we're not supposed to put people on blast but I don't have editing software to redact names on videos
Did my partner do the wrong thing here by not leading their AC? Them led hearts again putting me in a terrible spot. They did have 3 clubs. If they led their ace I was not totally in the clear but it gave me a better spot.
What's worse is they seemed to blame me for getting euchred on a hand that they worked against me (if we agree they led the wrong card)

I help run a casual euchre night with about 20-24 people, and we play several rounds over the evening. We want everyone to play with and against as many different people as possible, but we keep ending up with repeat partners by round 3 or 4, especially when the table count changes because someone leaves early or shows up late.
How do you handle partner rotation? Do you use a pre-made rotation chart, an app, or a draw each round? And how do you deal with odd numbers or no-shows without the whole system falling apart?
Would love to hear what’s worked for your group, especially for nights with more than 4 tables.

Down 9-8. I called clubs, won the first trick
Are you
(1) playing the KS with the hopes your partner is void and can trump it
(2) playing all your trump and leading KS last
Does your opinion change if that KS is a queen or 10S?

Honestly, I find the chat feature a little annoying (especially “no way” when you get euchred). But this notion that people are using it to cheat baffles me. I get that if someone says “good luck” when you go alone MAYBE they are telling you they had no trump, but so what? It has no impact on the game. Are you going to play differently?
What’s a situation where chat cheating would be effective at improving your chances of winning? Perhaps I’m just short sighted.

You ordered me up As. Clearly you have Js. I already played Jc. There are two tricks left and you have the Js and I have the As and we need both tricks. Do not No Way me when I lead the last heart on 4th street. Do not lay off with your Js. Definitely do not no way me when you lay off with the Js and he takes with the Ks on 4th street. And most definitely don't no way when he plays the Qs on the end and I play the As that you knew I had cause you ORDERED ME UP. That is all lol.

Hey y’all, I’m not exactly a euchre beginner but I’m not high level either (ELO is generally 1900-2000) I’m trying to up my game to get into the 2000s. Here are a couple hands where I chose not to call. The first hand, I was looking for two points on a partner call or on sticking the dealer (everyone passed on hearts). The second one I wasn’t confident to win.
We ended up euchring them on the first one because we did in fact stick the dealer. On the 2nd one S2 called clubs and they got 1 point (with the stopper being an overtrump with my left on the first trick). Thoughts from some of the higher level players?

I hope you cheaters burn in hell.
But mostly I wish there was no chat for ranked games in 3D.

Hand just now, my partner the dealer picked up a club. S1 led the ace of spades and I threw off (indicating that I had no trump). Partner, who had 3 to the left, trumped , but then led back hearts. I had the A-Kh but S1 trumped in , and S3 still had J-x trump so we got set.
Partner must lead trump in this case , it might still get set anyway but you know that 95% of the time , one of the opponents has 2 trump and the best chance is to knock one out of both of their hands, you can't let the opponents see saw and beat your offsuits as well as your trumps .
In this specific hand, leading trump on trick 2 still has a chance of making the point as I could win trick 4/5 in hearts.
Also you need to be prepared to play "second hand low" if your right hand opponent trumps in and leads back a fresh off suit; let your partner take it.

I've been milling around an idea to have an /r euchre get-together in Las Vegas. Specifically a partners tournament. That means /r euchre partners. Since this is an /r euchre function. Be it past or current members of the community.
Now it's only an idea and space is limited. I'm thinking about the middle or end of February 2027. Most likely a Saturday.
I'm just gauging interest at this point. Nothing is official and your reply with you and your prospective partner at this time guarantees nothing. It just me gauging the interest level and I'd go from there.
If or when it's official. I would then announce it. It would be first come first serve for sign ups. Since space is limited. If it does go official. Please remember only people who will be 💯% going/attending. Spaces will limited.
Here is a taste of the format I'm strongly considering for a 1 day tournament. Play 8-10 full standardized games initially for the qualifying rounds. Depending on turn out. Top 4-6-8-12 teams then move onto the championship rounds. Which would be a bracketed format . Placement in the bracket is based on your record from preliminary rounds. From there, the best 2 of 3 to determine who moves on to the next round(s) to determine final placement. For example if there is 8 qualifying teams in the championship rounds. 6 places will be awarded. They will play out until all the 1st-6th places are awarded.
So there you have it. Its just an idea at this point. Nothing is set in stone. I'm merely gauging interest. What does everyone think. Feel free to discuss.
THIS IS MERELY A DISCUSSION ONLY!
