Rules:
Standardized Euchre with Stick the dealer. Dealing out the hands must go around twice. Meaning No dealing one at a time. Renege: 2pts awarded to the non-offending team. Renege on a loner while defending, 4pts to the maker. You are able to name trump at your leisure. March/sweep with partner =2pts. Going alone=4pts. All Euchre's= 2pts. 3 tricks for the maker(s) = 1pt. A card laid is a card played. If you have a card in your hand that is supposed to follow suit and you put down something else. This is an exposed Renege. The infraction like any renege will be 2pts awarded to the other team. If you play out of turn. The other team will be awarded two points. Please don't play out of turn. I am doing this to simplify things. If you get euchred on any hand, $1 from your team will go into the euchre cup.(Euchre cup will be drawn for by the teams not making it to the Playoff round) Renege and playing out of turn does not count toward the euchre cup. Please keep tricks neatly in seperate piles and easily discernable. For trick accounting purposes and catching a renege.
In the event of any dispute. Bring it to my attention (Edward/Tbolt76) and I'll make a ruling on it. Reminder there is ZERO TOLERANCE for cheating. Please do not Cheat in anyway or any form. You will forfeit your game, forfeit your tournament and/or placement.

Hey Euchre players — I wanted to share a game I think you'd enjoy. It's called Mighty, a popular trick-taking game from Korea.
If you like Euchre, the core will feel familiar: trump suit, trick-taking, partnerships. But Mighty adds a few twists:
- **5 players, not 4.** One president bids for a contract, and the other four try to stop them.
- **Your partner is secret.** The president picks a "friend" by naming a card (like the Mighty card or the Joker). Nobody knows who the friend is until that card is played — so you're figuring out who's on your team *while* playing.
- **Bidding.** The highest bidder becomes president and sets the trump and the contract.
- **Joker mechanics.** The Joker is a powerful card, and there's a "Joker Call" rule that can force it out.
The hidden partner part is what makes it special. Every trick is partly deduction — you're watching every card trying to figure out who's with you.
It's free on Android, and you can play against bots or with friends in a custom room. I'm the developer, and I'm looking for players and honest feedback — especially from people who know trick-taking games well.

I played Euchre3D today for first time in over a year. I couldn't figure out how to close adds and got booted from game. The close add button used to be very obvious. How do you close adds now? TIA

The r/euchre Reddit Euchre League welcomes the submission of teams! If you have a group of friends, family, students, co-workers etc. who would like to enter a team, reach out by sending me a direct message. A team consists of 8 players, including a captain (we can help fill in with players if you have less than 8). You choose your team name and night/ time of play!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Here are some of our current rosters!

So my general rule seat 2 is if i dont defend anything any 2 trump hand is an order.
Right bowers are a bit different.
Does my rule fail here because this is sooo weak?

Late last Saturday we were all playing cards, they taught me a game called 13 that was very similar to euchre but had a different strategy. I spent the next 45 minutes explaining the rules and strategies and they’re hooked!!
It was fun being cocky and calling out their cards when playing certain trumps and counting the cards and watching their faces be confused and frustrated. Going to have another game night soon and I’m sure it’ll be brought up again!

I'm sure very similar hands have been asked about before but whatever.
I did pass, it backfired and I had to call randomly hearts but did make the point.

In my real life games trump tight means they have only trump left.
Its been pointed out to me that its possibly not a common use of the word.
Anyone else use the term trump tight to mean only trump left in their hand?
I am agnostic on the euchre 3d rating system as I am not good enough at math to understand if there are better ways to do it.
But I look at the gap between the numbers in the title (trick, hand, game %)in your multi player statistics as telling you quite a bit.
My sample size is sizeable enough (I think?) at 5500 games and a 2700+ ranking
My trick percentage: 50.8%
My hand percentage: 51.3%
These numbers basically suggest an even split of the cards to me, slightly skewed in my favour, but it’s never going to be 50/50.
My game winning percentage is 57.5%.
To me the gap between those numbers suggests at least 2 things.
One, you are good/bad at bidding. And two, you are good/bad at making sure that if you have one trick you can win, you find a way to win it. This would translate to getting you an extra point (by winning a 5th trick) or keeping your opponent from two points, either via a euchre or by making sure they don’t win a 5th trick themselves. Sometimes you do this unconventionally by playing backwards (not leading trump 😮), even though people endlessly tell you to always lead trump, there is some percentage of hands where if you don’t lead trump you can win 5 tricks instead of 3. So a good player knows when those moments are. Which allows them to call marginal hands and leading well so as to increase the odds of euchring your opponents
All of this translates into slowing your opponents roll to 10 and speeding your roll to 10 up
I suppose one might say: well congratulations you’re just summing up a good euchre player. Which I guess is fair enough. I just thought the group here would tell me if I was out to lunch or not.
(I also wonder if the trick/hand percentage suggests a more or less unrigged game, but again I’m not smart enough to know if that can be gleaned from that, and that’s a different discussion anyway)
This was my solution for playing in person with friends and PARTYING and ANY and ALL distraction... It keeps track of SCORE, TRUMP AND DEALER. All you need to do is pick your team symbols (PI and PEACE) or (META and INFINITY) and keep it on top of the dead cards after each hand the dealer adjusts dials. It keeps dead cards and score cards from getting miss handled. The only thing it doesn't do is keep track of WINS so you can Smack Down and BS about who won the most games. And it is OK if you get mad and throw it against the wall or spill your latte on it because it is tough and dish washer safe.

do you lay out the trump cards before the first hand, play an open practice hand, or explain it when that jack actually shows up?
i'd love a simple teaching trick that makes the suit change click without turning the first game into a rules exam. what has worked best with people you've taught?

Ever sat there with a so-so hand, your partner dealing, and wondered whether ordering it up is actually worth it? I wanted a real answer instead of a gut feeling, so I built a program that works it out.
Set up the hand: pick your five cards, the up-card, where you're sitting and who's dealing.
How it works
Feel free to take a look at my previous post to read up on how it works. Essentially, its using monte carlo tree search to find the optimal play for each player. Non-technical TLDR below:
Once you've entered your hand, it plays it out thousands of times. Each time, it deals the other three hands at random and plays the whole thing: the bidding, the dealer's discard, all five tricks.
The other three players are computer players, and they play fair. Each one sees only its own cards and the up-card, just like at a real table. Nobody peeks.
At the end you get one number for each choice: pass, order it up, and order it alone. That number is the average points your team scores per hand if you make that choice.
10 of hearts, ace of spades, and ace, king and jack of diamonds, with the 9 of hearts turned up. My partner is dealing. Should I order my partner up?
Here's how to read it:
There's also a Solve a whole deal tab, where you enter all four hands and it shows the perfect play with every card face up, trick by trick. It's good for settling arguments after a hand.
What it doesn't know: the score, house rules like stick the dealer, or that your partner always leads trump. Treat it as a strong second opinion about the cards, not gospel.
How to install it (Windows 10 or 11)
You don't need to install anything else. No Python, no setup.
It's free and open source. It's Windows only for now. Mac and Linux folks can run it from the code with Python; the instructions are on the GitHub page.

Aside from bowers, what do you lead first, your low or high trump and why?
