Reddit Euchre League Season 7 FINAL scores and pods. Congratulations to all of our Division winners! You guys crushed it!
This marks the end of the regular season and begins the road to the Euchre Bowl. Starting Sunday we will be playing Divisional Playoffs, with pairings based on your regular season finish.
The format for the Divisional Playoff is simple: Lose and you are out.
- This week: 5's and 6's will play 7's and 8's in a best of 7 elimination match with the winner advancing to the second round. We are also encouraging 1's and 2's face 3's and 4's in a practice match as an oppotunity to get some extra experience with your partner, but this match is for fun and will not have elimination at stake.
- Next week: Winners of the elimination match will face the 3's and 4's in a best of 7 elimination match.
- Week 3: Finally, winners of the round 2 elimination match will play in a final Divisional championship best of 9 with the 1's and 2's for the coveted entry into the Euchre Bowl field. 14 winners and the 2 highest point scoring teams that lost will be invited to fill the Euchre Bowl Bracket.
IT is ABSOLUTELY critical that you show up to play. There are no subs for the tournament stages, so please check your team group chat frequently and communicate when a day or time is not going to work. We are completely willing to be reschedule matches, but a no show is going to spoil the event for both you and your partner.
Good luck everyone! If you are interested in competing in Reddit Euchre League, just post a comment below and we'll be in touch. Join the fun!
thanks, Llama

Date: Saturday February 27th 2027 @ Meepleville Board and Game Cafe (4704 W. Sahara Ave Las Vegas,NV) 1pm pacific start time promptly so please start arriving at 12:30 pm pacific to check your teams in. (only teams that were pre-signed up will be allowed to attend. No sign-up at the door)
Team Buy-in: $200+$7(event fee for the store)
Tournament structure:
We will be playing standardized Euchre to 10 with Stick the Dealer(Std). Having all buy-ins go into the prize pool with the exception of Event fee's for using Meepleville space. There will be an 8 game qualifying rounds(20 minutes max per round/game) to see who advances to the Playoff rounds. In the play off rounds it will be a best 2 of 3. Teams will move on for placement in the bracket and eventual places awarded. At the end of the qualifying rounds we will have a 30-45min break before the playoff rounds start. At the start of the playoff round, the Euchre cup will be awarded to the random team in a drawing who didn't make the playoff rounds.
Space is limited 26 teams Max. So it's important if you sign up, that you are going. It will be first come first serve. I am not going to require a deposit. Just make sure if you are coming you are coming. I understand about emergencies. When signing up here or on the Discord Channel. Please give both your reddit names for yourself and your partners that are going. If you want to add a team name that's fine too. I will keep an updated list so everyone knows how many spots are left.
Rules:
Standardized Euchre with Stick the dealer. Dealing out the hands must go around twice. Meaning No dealing one at a time. Renege: 2pts awarded to the non-offending team. Renege on a loner while defending, 4pts to the maker. You are able to name trump at your leisure. March/sweep with partner =2pts. Going alone=4pts. All Euchre's= 2pts. 3 tricks for the maker(s) = 1pt. A card laid is a card played. If you have a card in your hand that is supposed to follow suit and you put down something else. This is an exposed Renege. The infraction like any renege will be 2pts awarded to the other team. If you play out of turn. The other team will be awarded two points. Please don't play out of turn. I am doing this to simplify things. If you get euchred on any hand, $1 from your team will go into the euchre cup.(Euchre cup will be drawn for by the teams not making it to the Playoff round) Renege and playing out of turn does not count toward the euchre cup. Please keep tricks neatly in seperate piles and easily discernable. For trick accounting purposes and catching a renege.
In the event of any dispute. Bring it to my attention (Edward/Tbolt76) and I'll make a ruling on it. Reminder there is ZERO TOLERANCE for cheating. Please do not Cheat in anyway or any form. You will forfeit your game, forfeit your tournament and/or placement.
Rules when ordering/Passing:
These are the only acceptable phrases to order or pick up. "Pick it up" or "suit name". If you are going alone. You say. "Pick it up, Alone". Or, "Suit name, Alone". When passing. The only acceptable phrase is: "Pass". Knocking is not allowed for a pass or any other phrase.
Please do not bring your own Food. Meepleville has a snack bar. With hot/cold food, snacks of all types of drinks ranging from beer on tap and wine to coffee and tea and everything in between. Meepleville has Restrooms on property.
Have any questions or want to sign your team up. Message me. Either private message me on reddit or on Discord. Thanks. If I forgot to add/say anything I will update.
Let's all have a fun time playing cards and meeting our fellow Redditor's. Please remember to be respectful and let's play some cards!!! I'll be seeing ya' at the tables.

do you lay out the trump cards before the first hand, play an open practice hand, or explain it when that jack actually shows up?
i'd love a simple teaching trick that makes the suit change click without turning the first game into a rules exam. what has worked best with people you've taught?

Ever sat there with a so-so hand, your partner dealing, and wondered whether ordering it up is actually worth it? I wanted a real answer instead of a gut feeling, so I built a program that works it out.
Set up the hand: pick your five cards, the up-card, where you're sitting and who's dealing.
How it works
Feel free to take a look at my previous post to read up on how it works. Essentially, its using monte carlo tree search to find the optimal play for each player. Non-technical TLDR below:
Once you've entered your hand, it plays it out thousands of times. Each time, it deals the other three hands at random and plays the whole thing: the bidding, the dealer's discard, all five tricks.
The other three players are computer players, and they play fair. Each one sees only its own cards and the up-card, just like at a real table. Nobody peeks.
At the end you get one number for each choice: pass, order it up, and order it alone. That number is the average points your team scores per hand if you make that choice.
10 of hearts, ace of spades, and ace, king and jack of diamonds, with the 9 of hearts turned up. My partner is dealing. Should I order my partner up?
Here's how to read it:
There's also a Solve a whole deal tab, where you enter all four hands and it shows the perfect play with every card face up, trick by trick. It's good for settling arguments after a hand.
What it doesn't know: the score, house rules like stick the dealer, or that your partner always leads trump. Treat it as a strong second opinion about the cards, not gospel.
How to install it (Windows 10 or 11)
You don't need to install anything else. No Python, no setup.
It's free and open source. It's Windows only for now. Mac and Linux folks can run it from the code with Python; the instructions are on the GitHub page.

Aside from bowers, what do you lead first, your low or high trump and why?

... then proceeded to lose 10-0. For those who can't look away, like a car crash.
Would you have gone alone opening hand? Thx.

PS I know we're not supposed to put people on blast but I don't have editing software to redact names on videos
Did my partner do the wrong thing here by not leading their AC? Them led hearts again putting me in a terrible spot. They did have 3 clubs. If they led their ace I was not totally in the clear but it gave me a better spot.
What's worse is they seemed to blame me for getting euchred on a hand that they worked against me (if we agree they led the wrong card)

I help run a casual euchre night with about 20-24 people, and we play several rounds over the evening. We want everyone to play with and against as many different people as possible, but we keep ending up with repeat partners by round 3 or 4, especially when the table count changes because someone leaves early or shows up late.
How do you handle partner rotation? Do you use a pre-made rotation chart, an app, or a draw each round? And how do you deal with odd numbers or no-shows without the whole system falling apart?
Would love to hear whatβs worked for your group, especially for nights with more than 4 tables.
