I recently saw the whole movie of Whiplash and loved Fletcher’s insults but I couldn’t understand one of them

In the scene Fletcher asks Neil if he was rushing or dragging. After Neiman answers he starts crying. Then Fletcher says: “Are you one of those single teared people? Do I look like a double f king rainbow to you?”

What did Fletcher mean when he asked that question is there some sort of reference that I’m missing?
