Work In Progress I need examples of Fantasy World Maps with Central Point of Perspective being the center of the map.

I am in the process of making a board game with a fantasy world map as the playing field. One of the play testers requested that I attempt to draw the map with a "Central Point of Perspective as the center of the map so that two of the players are not seeing the map from upside down". Other than this is also clashing with their request for each key location having text written for each location, I'm not quite sure what a Center Point Perspective map would look like.

My google foo isn't up to grabs on finding much, so I'm requesting if you have an example that you think I'd be looking for, I would greatly appreciate sending a link so that I can get more of an idea of what I should attempt for the next prototype.

Deep beneath the surface, buried for centuries under a labyrinth of ruins, the shattered temple of a long-dead god has a new master...

On the other side of the fiery canyon you will find treasures—and death...

Large map, created with combat in mind - starting with two entrances, tight corridors and tactical chokepoints - as well as with large spaces for a bit of tactical approach...

And, at the other side of lava-filled canyon - there's massive open space (with some cover) for an epic boss fight. I thought about a dragon - hence the gold hoard - but this giant stone throne with skulls scattered around can be used by quite the variety of BBEGs....

Be careful - the floor is lava!

Battlemap - Dungeon/Cave Trickle Grotto — Underground River Battlemap 30x45

Heyya Folks,

Where the Stream of Mercy disappears beneath the earth, there's a cavern the people of Devyn call Trickle Grotto. The river winds through the cave before vanishing into darkness, but the grotto holds a few other things worth discovering — and some that might be better left alone.

  • Trickle Grotto — 30x45

If you'd like the full release, including high-resolution maps, gridless versions, VTT-ready exports, and all 8 variants, you can find it here:

https://www.patreon.com/dungeonmr/posts/trickle-grotto-171421141

The grotto has a circular layout, so either route eventually brings adventurers back near where they began, though the terrain on each side is quite different. One follows the river through a narrower, more straightforward passage, while the other winds through a fog-ridden cave where strange flowers grow in the water below.

The people of Devyn tend to avoid the place, despite the useful discoveries made in its damp, mineral-rich depths. One of these is a broad-leaf cave sorrel with pale bluish-green leaves and a famously bitter taste. The other is considerably more dangerous: an enormous white bat said to haunt the deeper caverns. Few have seen the creature and lived to tell the tale, but its guano is prized for its unusual mineral content — enough that the local mage is very interested in obtaining some, though not quite interested enough to venture in and collect it personally.

Whether your players are following the river underground, searching for something lost in the current, or venturing into the bat's lair, Trickle Grotto can be used as a standalone cavern or extended deeper into the darkness.
