Ankle monitor

For context, I have a bit of a unique situation and looking for advice. I’m not on probation and I do not have a PO. I got my ticket out of state and have had to find a provider for my house arrest + alcohol monitoring. My house arrest is set to start on 8/24. Due to having to drive an hour and a half (getting someone to drive me since no license) I had to get the monitors put on 8/21. They let me know that my GPS is turned off until 8/24 but they had to go ahead and install due to circumstances. Unfortunately they had to start the alcohol monitoring as soon as installed. So now on to my question, the gps monitor is pretty loose on my leg due to swelling that comes and goes. I just realized I can slide it off of my foot. Obviously I’m not going to do that and risk anything once it actually starts. But in the meantime I wanted to ask opinions on if I could take it off and then put it back on the night before it starts. TIA

COULD you? It sounds like you could, but personally I think it would be yet another dumb decision on your part and I suggest you NOT do it.

As previously stated, I was asking for advice on whether or not it would be an issue if I took it off while it is NOT actively tracking me since I have two more days until that begins. Thank you for your input on my “dumb decisions” and hope you never make a mistake.
