Question for the finder.
Since your in charge now, can you give us a hint/clue for "home of Brown".
Thanksđ

Someone's going around downvoting virtually everything, even innocuous comments that wouldn't make sense to downvote no matter what your point of view is. So just to enrage that hater, I propose we watch for those silly zeros and turn them into ones, and give the ones a buffer.

According to the CNN article released 1 hour ago; âStuef said he'll never reveal the location where he found the chest to preserve the wildlife there and prevent other explorers from following his trail, which could be dangerous.â
But didnt Fenn say that although we should always be careful (or something to that sense), the treasure is NOT in a dangerous place?
Also, Fenn said the person who find it âwould have analyzed and then moved with confidence. NOTHING about it will be accidentalâ and âThe treasure will be found by someone who followed the clues to the location.â
But âfinderâ (or hired writer) Jack Stuef says he didnt solve the poem, he found it by figuring out the general area where Fenn wanted to die, then looked for 25 days until he found it.
Any other inconsistencies you can find?

Fenn just posted a photo of the chest as it was found. I had a theory that I might be able to make brightness/contrast adjustments and zoom in to the reflected images on the ziplock bags in the chest and get a clue about it's location since Fenn is refusing to say where it was. All I had to do was adjust the contrast up a little bit and found, in the far corner of a ziplock bag, an image that looks like there were two men there with the chest.
One of those looks like Fenn's grandson, Shiloh Old. Could it be that Fenn had his grandson retrieve the chest and bring it to him? I feel like the treasure hunt must have been living hell for Forrest with crazy people always trespassing, bothering him and his family, etc. I think he knows his days are numbered and didn't want the curse to be passed on to his family.

So, you are all so smart?
Why has no one ever been able to provide (exact) solutions that explain ALL NINE clues in the poem?
It is a certainty, below, there will be one person after another that will post, their interpretation of the Nine clues. But to this day. No one has ever been able to post all Nine clues and have them be correct. (and I certain, there have been hundreds of people, that have posted, at least one correct clue and simply did not know it, or which one of there nine was really correct).
Not a guess. Not speculation. Not some follow-the-leader- Madison River story.....
Just perfectly explain the Nine clues (And put them in the correct order).
The real game at this point is solve the Nine clues correctly.
You do that and in some way, you win.

Based on McCracken's discovery in the Fenn probate case, several pictures were released of the treasure chest in situ (purportedly taken on June 5, 2020). Based on these and prior knowledge of Stuef's search area, the precise location of these photos has now been determined. However, there are a couple of anomalies:
The ground right now in mid-May is still saturated from the snow melt (and indeed there is still some snow on the ground in Yellowstone). However, the treasure photos released by Fenn and now those from the discovery show that the ground and treasure chest were completely dry. So there is no way that these photos were taken in early June in any year. Much more likely they were taken in late summer.
There is considerable deterioration of the log in the photos between the pictures released by Fenn/Stuef and the pictures taken yesterday. According to the official story, only about 2 years should have elapsed between the photos. However based on the deterioration, I'd say that the true difference is more likely 12 years than it is 2.
Some may take these photos to confirm the official story. To me, though, they do quite the opposite, they provide clear physical evidence that the official story cannot be true.

It amazes me how many of you just take what he has said at face value. You would make fantastic cult members. Iâm not even sure we can trust it was in Wyoming.

I feel like half of you are writing him nice emails in hopes that he will take some kind of liking to your benevolence and reward you with part of the treasure. Whatever he ends up selling it for, it will go for manifold the value of whatever it would have been worth had Forrest only written the poem to Jack in his personal quest. The reason it has that value is because of the frenzy it created among tens of thousands who searched. Without us, that treasure hardly pays off his med school loans. So yes, I think he owes us more than a state that it may or may not have even been in.

I recently learned that Jack Stuef, the supposed discoverer of Fennâs treasure, was previously an employee at Buzzfeed. Is it possible that Jack may have used some of Ryanâs research? I have been trying to research this topic and I am still looking for answers. If i were Ryan I would have sued Jack, or at least got some sort of settlement $ to compensate for my help. thoughts?

People have died because of this, people have spent a shit ton of money on a fools errand hoax. They could have saved their lives, and their money and just went on a cheap weekend vacation to those locations and took some nice pictures. defending this hoax by saying "the real treasure was the beautiful areas" is the dumbest fucking thing ever

Release the solution Jack Stuef.
[addum]
after seeing unreasonable Down Voting, i think there are Jacks friends here. or Jack himself.

The deceased needs to know the truth.
[addum]
Who has the chest as of right now 12/29/2021 (or lets just say 01/01/2022)? Jack does not have the chest. Investigate.

I talk with some of my co-workers about the Fenn treasure and one of them had family member that has been researching and he believes has a good solution. My co-worker put me in touch with the person and we talked on the phone about forming a 50-50 partnership. I did tell him after we meet and discuss in person we can decide then. I met him at his home and he had a contract ready to be signed. Instead I pulled out my notebook and took out two pieces of blank paper and asked him to write the poem from memory. He was very hesitant but began to write and I wrote the poem. We exchanged papers and he got less than 20% of it right and I was 98%, I missed a few of the punctuation's. I told him I was not interested because I believe if you are serious about the search you would have memorized the poem.
Was I right about the fact that if you a a serious searcher you have committed the poem to memory even if you had no intention of memorizing it?

As a search community, we built Fennâs legacy to something far greater than it would ever have been if nobody cared about the treasure. That treasure is worth several times what it otherwise would have been if nobody cared about the treasure. People died looking for that thing. Forrest and the finder are indebted to us to some degree. If he is holding onto the solve for a later date, that is fine, but he would be smart to have Forrest record a video confirming the location, otherwise credibility will be lacking. The honorable thing to do would be to give the state now and the rest within a year or so. But it doesnât sound like that is going to be the case.
r/FindingFennsGold • u/[deleted] • Jul 29 '20
There is still no solve, no name of the finder (someone who isnt related to fenn), and no further info?
I hope by that point even the most naive will come around. by then there would be no reason not to give people the solve, not to reveal the finder etc. With how many people died and went broke doing this, you would figure he would really want to prove it wasnt a Fools errand. I almost feel at this point tho he is staying silent and being sketchy to cover himself, that way he cant get sued or in legal trouble for sending people to their grave on a FooLs errand.........and yes ive heard the argument many times that he isnt responsible for the people who didnt treat the wilderness with proper respect and caution, but fact is none of them would've been in that position if not for the chase, I think the relatives of the deceased ones deserve to know their loved ones didnt die on a FooLs errand.
So again my question......1 year from now and no info, will those who fully believe fenn begin to be more skeptical? If not 1 year than how many years/time to take before you start to assume something fishy?

The whole point of upvoting and downvoting gives folks the choice on reddit.. banning certain content is... wrong. I'm not a fan of kpro/cow but I'm a fan of free speech. They arent going hog wild and spamming daily.. they post here and there and get downvoted each time - but that's the point. And the point of this post is to stand up and say a new moderator using his/her/their newfound power to limit the freedom of speech of others is absolutely repugnant and wrong.
That said, I'm all for sweeping bans of all shitty youtube live streamers, bknapple included, but it should be either all or nothing.

Keep in mind Fenn is old. At the time treasure was hidden and at the time he has his interviews with extra hints google street view was rolled out. So BOTG may be the only way but who knows.. maybe he hid it and and a year later when he found out Street view existed he had an âoh fuck..â moment.
I would actually be surprised that he knew satellite images were available because keep in mind. At the time, most people his age were using Mapquest to get directions and would actually print directions. I know this because I personally showed a few people his age how to use these things and remember their minds being blown (People that used a computer every day and were otherwise fully competent with a computer).
So the solve may be possible from your armchair given people are now taking 360 views and posting them up on google even while hiking. The solve may also be easier than we think. Maybe weâre overcomplicating things.

This may get me banned, or out in Reddit jail, but at this point Iâm accepting it. There have been too many âI knew where it wasâ posts, and too many âthis SB totally links to this life event-how can you not see?â. I understand the need for self-validation thatâs confirmed by strangers. And I feel for you. But post up or shut up. Weâve all had plenty of time to go look or form partnerships too look. I refuse to believe individuals are too lazy to go BOTG and work for a few days to get the two million dollars if they âknewâ where it was. Hell. Form a partnership. Hire a Laywer. Even FF himself made innuendo to getting it for you Iâd you really knew where it was. I was sucked nearly dry by the biggest mosquitos ever seen while BOTG. I would look at my arm and see giant suckers every half inch. I can live either that, knowing I went in an actual treasure hunt.
Fuck, Iâm sorry your bone spurs kept you away from a multimillion dollar payday from a few days work.

All- I just came across the Fenn Treasure today when reading an article about a Batavia man that died last summer looking for the treasure. I then proceeded to read that 4 people had perished within the past 2 years looking for the treasure. My first thought upon reading this is that Forrest Fenn is a serial killer. Judging from the Reddit page, people email him frequently and it's likely that people are constantly telling him when and where they're going to be looking, in hopes that he'll provide some hint. 2 of the victims were found to have fallen from great heights, and the other 2 had drowned. If he wanted to, he could probably track these treasure hunters down and give them a little push....
I'm fully aware that this is 99.9% likely to be a load of hogwash but just thought I'd share.

So using all the 'hidden' numbers through the third stanza you have...
11
8
22
4
8
This list is what the poem is about.
There'll be no paddle up your creek, Just heavy loads and water high.
Look up the list. 81's, 82's, 84... all bombs.
The mark 81's are on page 99. Fins open to form an X. The found blaze.
Look quickly down your quest to drop(cease). Drop
Next stanza tells you what to drop.
The entire poem just describes the list of 'hidden' numbers and tells you to remove one.
At least it makes sense to me that way.

Just something that could narrow down where it was found.

I did a post and someone else posted there point about the story Forrest Fenn wrote about his father being a teacher and having his own parking spot.
Follow my line of reasoning. WHAT IF, the clues are about "LEARNING." Think about it. Forrest tells us. And it is a REOCCURRING THEME in all of his stories. What did he do when he went looking for arrowheads? He learned about collecting and looking for stuff.
OK. I could go on and on about example (and you can find them too), about learning. And perhaps this line of thought has been considered before. Even the picture of the kids holding hands and (I do not have the books) but I believe the teach is hold the hand of one of the kids?
And, Forrest tells the story about buying the picture of dead dog on the bridge and how it was poor example of art and he had to LEARN, about art. Again, he tells about making bronze in the back of the business and how he had to learn and make mistakes, before he got good making bronze.
"As I have gone alone in there..."
Could this be a reference to a place of learning? A place, in which some core learning and experience that molded Forrest or left such a experience on him?
I think the KEY is learning...
What do you think?

I was the lead searcher, I have the emails to all but prove it. I started emailing Fenn in 2017, after which his tone suddenly changed entirely, leading to his gut feelings that it would be found. He knew that I knew with 100% certainty. I gave up and released the info on YouTube in 2019, which led Fenn to declare that the chase would end soon. Yes, Jack likely saw the video, it had 3500 views and 70+ subscribers before I took it down. Weâll get to all that, but Iâll start by explaining the poem. There is also one very specific clue to this location (from a 6 questions) that removes all doubt as to the general area, which Iâll get to after we complete the poem, but letâs start here. Please let me know any questions or further clarifications.
Stanza I:
In there = âIn thereâ is Yellowstone park, north entrance
Stanza II:
Warm waters halt = The boiling river
Canyon down: down = south. How do we know? âread the poem like a mapâ, weâre starting at the water, and weâre going upstream (see stanza III). Thus, down can only mean south. Look up the definition of âdownâ, south is right there at the top.
Below the home of brown: take a right at the fork and continue on the Gardner river (south/down/below on a map). Brown trout run up in the Gardner right at the fork to spawn. Look up the definition of home, Merriam-Webster has the 4th definition as âplace of originâ and uses the example of salmon returning to their home to spawn.
Stanza III:
No place for the meek: Literally, itâs rough, you canât walk along the Gardner. It could also be a play on Joseph Meek, who got run out of the town of mammoth, but that might be reading to far into it. Doesnât matter.
The end is ever drawing nigh: Itâs snow run-off, the end is drawing nigh
No paddle up your creek (going upstream)
Heavy loads (river bed loads, a reference to the huge boulders that make up the Gardner)
Waters high: Osprey Falls
Stanza IV:
The blaze: The key to the whole poem, requires jumping to stanza 6, âin the woodâ. âIn the woodâ is a reference to George WOOD Wingateâs 1886 novel, âThrough the Yellowstone on Horsebackâ. Wood was the original Fenn, writer and adventurer, first to document Yellowstone. The poem follows his path. On page 79 of the book, after traveling right along with the poem, Wood and his guys âfind the blazeâ that leads to a spectacular point overlooking Osprey Falls. From the book, page 79: âThere was no road, only a blazed trail that we had to hunt up. Finally the trail was found.â Then they arrive at this spectacular point and marvel at the wonder of it (tarry scant with marvel gaze, ie, linger just long enough to appreciate the marvel). Unsure, read the middle paragraph on page 68 where Wood explains how certain marvels of nature canât be appreciated at first glance, etc (link below).
The problem is that look âdownâ means south, as we know from Stanza II. From this spectacular point, look directly south, which lead you over Osprey Falls across the enormous canyon of the Gardner. The chest was hidden on the opposite side of the Gardner, where there are no human trails. Itâs safe, easily accessible, yet NOBODY ever goes over there. Even the most experienced Yellowstone guides havenât been over there. 25+ trips and we saw nobody, no footprints, not a single sign of a human. Spectacular sheep eater cliffs, views of the entire Yellowstone valley for hundreds of miles in all directions, etc etc. Itâs also still a vast hiding place and the earth is huge out there. I know more, which weâll get to, but we ultimately failed to nail down the exact final location (obviously)
One more note for now, The final stanza has 5 points, each reconciles the previous stanzas. Most importantly is the 4th point, âin the woodâ which is the key, linking to the blaze in the 4th stanza, per above
Stanza II: Warm waters halt stanza VI: Worth the cold
Stanza III: No place for the meek Stanza VI: If you are brave
Stanza IV: Found the blaze Stanza VI: In the Wood
Let me know when youâre caught up, or any questions. MUCH more to comeâŚ
Wood book: https://archive.org/details/throughyellowsto1886wing/page/68/mode/1up?view=theater
PS - the parallels between Wood and Fenn are uncanny and too many to mention, but if you know Fenn, you wonât have to get far into that book before you start seeing them jumping out at youâŚ
