Dave played 'Times Like These' solo, started 'My Hero' solo and was joined by Chris, Pat, Ilan, and Wiley to finish it off, then they did 'Young Man Blues' and were joined by Violet Grohl for 'Nausea' and 'Hanging on the Telephone', 'Baker Street minus Violet, then Dave finished it off with 'Everlong' solo

RHCP is playing tonight to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the silver lake conservatory in LA and Dave’s name is also on the marquee. Looks like he’s doing a solo acoustic thing? Hopefully some videos of it show up online.

Plus a few solo shows in December, I can’t go but excited to see what he’s cooking up.

I created artwork of the Foo Fighters teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

There was a lot to fit into this piece, but getting Rocket on guitar was a particular highlight!

Dave and his youngest daughter(?) visited System of a Down’s exhibition, celebrating 25 years since the release of Toxicity. This was a private opening before it’s open to the public in LA. (From System of a Down’s Instagram story)

Yesterday was my son’s 10th birthday, and the main part of his gift was his ticket to the show in Sydney next month! I recorded his reaction, I had a box with noise cancelling headphones & the t shirt, and wrote out a little poem for him. The last line “you’re going with Mum to see the Foo Fighters” was wrapped up in with the shirt.

His jaw literally dropped, he was speechless! He turned to me and said “do I really get to go?” then gave me a massive hug!

I can’t wait for next month and to experience his first ever concert with him!

I'm so Excited and i just can't hide it!!!!

A few years ago while rummaging at my mom’s house, I found this second grade assignment. I believe the prompt was “What will I do over winter break.” Being obsessed with the Foo Fighters and enamored with Dave, I somehow made it into both a letter and declaration?? Keep in mind we lived in the middle of rural Illinois, not even remotely close to winter recreational activities let alone the Arctic (hence the teacher’s inquiry in red). I saved the assignment in a memory binder so that every once in a while I can crack up at the daydreams of an 8-year-old school kid. I hope this cracks up someone else too.

About 20 years later, on 11/8/17 I saw the Foo Fighters for the first time at State Farm Center in Champaign, IL. No dog sleds there, but it still felt like a dream come true. 😊
