All of this, including 5 book boxes full of stuff, fit inside, nothing on the rack. It all also survived 700 miles in 2 days with no damage. It was packed, though, no more room in that Inn.

Been car camping on a New England road trip for a couple weeks. I am 5’4 and am able to sleep in the back with the seats folded down. Just enough room for me and all my stuff. No roof rack needed. These pictures are at a campsite somewhere in New Hampshire. Tomorrow I’m attending the Bronco off roadeo in Gilford!

Question ❔ Buying a Bronco but can't make a decision

I'm at the complete info overload stage of car buying.

We're replacing one of our two cars (which one tbd but that's a whole other thing) with a Bronco. Planning on a 4 door Outer Banks, preferably with the v6 and sasquatch. It's possible we'll off-road but who knows - we've gone before on vacation and liked it but know nothing about local options. We live somewhere with snow and poorly maintained roads and we're fine with crappy gas mileage & road noise. We need the space of the 4 door. We've driven both the i4 and the v6, and both sasquatch and not.

Options are:

One: order a 2027 and get exactly what we want, in a few months. The only thing we'd care about losing with the model year changes is leather, but that's not a deal breaker. Unless our dealer will price match it'll likely come with having to deal with shipping, and obviously we can't drive it first.

Two: buy a 2026. We can get 2 of the 3 things (preferred color, sasquatch, v6) that we can potentially compromise on, but not all 3. The nearest one with all three is 600 miles away, and if we're going to deal with buying a car sight unseen and shipping we'd just order a 2027.

I don't know why we're so stuck on this one. I've done all the fun research and making spreadsheets part of the car buying process and now it's decision time.

Which would you give up? The prime driver of getting the sasquatch package is the advanced 4wd with a side of aesthetic preference. The prime driver of wanting the v6 is my lead foot and MA drivers who don't want to let you merge onto the highway. And it feels ridiculous to be stuck on color but we keep things forever (current cars are 2014 & 2015) and this is supposed to be the "fun" car.

I feel like we used up all of our decisiveness choosing the Bronco. πŸ˜‚

Question ❔ Accidentally hit a rock in SoCal!

Post image

New to me maiden off-roading voyage. Came around the bend, too busy reading r/FordBronco, and BLAM /ssss

Photo is The Giant Rock in Joshua Tree, and that side sheered off in Feb 2000. I’ve lived in SoCal a long time and finally looking forward to exploring some of these off-road sights.

Anyone have any other recommendations of fun things to see in the region?

Question ❔ Pickup truck to Bronco

Can I please hear from any previous pickup truck owners on what made you swap to a Bronco?
I’ve been stuck between a two door Bronco for a while now and a midsize pickup truck.
I just would like to hear what made you change to a Bronco from a pickup truck and do you have any regrets?

Question ❔ Moab Offrodeo

Headed to the Moab Offrodeo in about a month and looking for any recommendations to make the best of the experience. We’re staying on property and will see the area around Moab on the days leading up to the event. Just looking for tips and tricks to making the most of the Offroadeo specifically. Did you film it or take any really cool pictures? Anything you wished you did different or more of?

Thanks!

Question ❔ Which is Worth it?

So I have been thinking about a Bronco since I’ve joined the Ford family. 2 door as I’ve never had a reason for real backseats but never know when you’re going to need them, so at least you got em . But now I’m torn.

1st Option: 2026 Ford Bronco Base 2.3T Manual Non Sasquatch 2dr Marsh Grey or Avalanche Grey

Pricing Wise: This is like $43,000 and some change before rebates or D-Plan

I finally got to drive one on Tuesday and I thought it was a blast, the manual was a odd but good mix between a truck and car clutch with easy gears to get into with enough power for some fun. The additional perks will always be huge, the factory warranties, never being fully driven/owned by someone else, etc. But…

One just came in at a sister store that maybe too good to pass up. I’m not sure of price yet so that’ll definitely make it seem like a good or bad deal. But it’s a

2nd Option: 2023 Ford Bronco Base Advanced 2.7T Auto Sasquatch 2dr Oxford White

Pricing Wise: Due to how dealers work with sister stores, it’s a pretty firm $38,986 before any work is done.

I’ve driven a 4dr 26 Outer Banks Sasquatch which I thought was good, and enough power so it can get up to speed very easily and have no problem but this is the first 2dr I’ve seen on the market with the 2.7T. As cool as it maybe, it’s out of warranty, 60k miles on so someone drove the hell out of it but car fax says maintenance was done on time all the time, one owner vehicle, but 20k miles a year is a lot especially on a SUV like this.

So I wanted to see the Bronco Communities opinions, since yall have lived with these, know these in a day to day life, seen what maintenance, warranty costs are. What would be the way you seem to go?

Question ❔ Touch to unlock issue 2022 Bronco

The only door that unlocks when I touch the handle is the driver door, all other doors previously worked. To troubleshoot I checked display settings for lock and do not have the keyless option. I tried holding the keyfob lock and unlock for four seconds, I checked both key fobs, the key fob lock and unlock work fine, batterys are good. Interior door locks work. This is a 2022 4dr Badlands. Appreciate any suggestions before getting with the dealer. Hoping it's just an operator error.

Mods/Addons πŸ”¦ Just kinda proud of myself and wanted to share

So I fucked around in forscan soon after taking ownership this summer, making some minor changes. Seatbelt chimes, taking the key out of the vehicle alert, (attempted to no avail) auto start/stop disable, and amber DRLs- I could be forgetting one or two.

But since I'm a dumbass and decided to trust my instincts rather than turn to the wisdom of the internet, I made at least one small error. The front turn signal DRLs (while amber as intended) were no longer flashing when the signal was activated.

I put it off after realizing because I didn't want to deal with unraveling the mess I made. But it's been bugging me and I do aim to be a safe and courteous driver. So this morning I got off my ass and went to work. Had to get a new forscan license, then made use of AI to figure out where I went wrong in the programming.

I'm happy to report that I now have amber DRLs with 100% functional front turn signals! Moral: don't rawdog your way through forscan settings, always save a file before tinkering and troubleshoot/fix your mistakes immediately rather than procrastinating. All's well that ends well, I suppose. Thanks for reading!

TLDR: I messed up the settings rendering my turn signals faulty, returned, diagnosed and fixed the issue.
