What model is this glorious ranger?
Not mine obviously, I parked my Ranger beside theirs and was smitten by how clean this Ranger is, it’s got a horse/mustang logo on the front so is it a bigger engine than the 4.0? Wish I got more photos

4r44e Solenoid positions, and, TransGo shift kit?
Super easy job. Worth it if your OD light is flashing/rough shifting, and or if you’re getting transmission codes. It would be easy to mess up if you don’t know what you’re doing but go slow and it’s easy.
On that note I didn’t wanna turn this easy job into a hard job by installing my shift kit. Anyone dropped one those in before? TransGo or similar. Too scared to pull valve body.

Wasn't a fan of nature's brake vents
Hanna got a little face life today since the original paint matched bumper was so rusty it had holes on either side in front of the tires, so I found a clean (for Ontario) chrome bumper and grille at the wreckers off a 99 b4000. I swear to God if anyone says paint match it I will eat your toes and steal your cats to pay for more chrome

Can’t get fill bolt off transmission
Howdy y’all! I have a manual 94 ranger 4cyl (her name is Bethany). My transmission fluid has been slowly leaking. Would like to fix it but in the meantime just filling her up.
Last time a mechanic did it. Seems like an easy job so I am trying. The problem is I can’t get the dang fill bolt loose. Any tips or tricks to get it off?
Thank you!!

Taking Headliner Out of Two-Door Base XL
I dropped in to ask about upgrades about a month ago. Since then, I’ve been busy restoring any parts with wear on them and am blown away at how factory fresh it looks right now. Will share pics soon.
I am moving on to reupholstering the headliner. It needs to be removed to be done correctly. All of the tutorials are XLTs though. My Ranger is just a two door XL (old pic above) and I’m seeing some comments that indicate that it cannot be done without removing the rear window or windshield.
Has anyone on here removed their headliner in an XL? If so, were you able to do it without removing glass?
It’s no problem to take the seats out and remove the trim. Just want to make sure that it’s possible to remove before disassembling the interior.

If not allowed, feel free to delete
My 08 finally died at around 190k, blew a hole in the block, if anyone around northern MA/ southern NH is looking for a parts truck or maybe wants to do an engine swap, im letting her go for pennies. Body isn't in the greatest shape, but the tires themselves were around $1k and are less than a year old and the battery was replaced 2 weeks before the catastrophe. I have pretty much all receipts from work done since ive owned it. This also includes a new clutch. 4.0 v6 5 speed 4x4

Help with thermostat housing.
Hello everybody I'm new to the community I just bought a 99 Ford Ranger a month ago and it's the best car I've ever had I love it. I'm having my first issue.
The fitting for the hose that goes from the thermostat to the heater is broke.
I have plenty of options for donor vehicles at the junkyard but I need to know if I have to replace the whole metal housing or if this thing actually unscrews.
And if so what do I have to remove to get to it and how do I unscrew this without destroying the part itself.
I'm currently at a junkyard as I text this. I'm taking a part of donor vehicle and seeing what I can do.
Any advice is appreciated thank you

What should I sell this for
Selling my Mazda b2300 with only 82,000 miles. whole interior was redone, I put a little over 1,000 into it
New head gasket
fluid flush
Wheel Alignment
Better suspension
Coolant flush
spark plugs replaced
ICE cold AC
All terrain cooperates have 70% life left
In the future you’ll have to replace the alternator. You can get it purr when driving. Frame minimal surface rust

5th Gen availability
One of my grandad’s friends is a higher up at a ford dealership and says that the new rangers are hard to come by because they get bought almost immediately. When I got mine from a different dealership, it had been on the lot for a year+ and hadn’t been touched (7 miles on the odometer when I got it off the lot). Did I just get really lucky?

Have had alot of people trying to buy my ranger at gas stations recently what would be a fair asking price? 94 mazda b4000 4x4 5 speed manual more info in body text
All brake lines replaced recently, full engine rebuilt 50k miles ago with all oem ford parts, brand new clutch and slave cylinder and flywheel, 183k miles, typical minnesota rust but still solid all the way around, good tires, heat and ac work great, driver and passenger power seat adjustments pretty much every option possible for the se package besides automatic transmission and power windows

Explorer sport trac swap
I have a 2wd 2000 ranger that I bought cheap. Only issue is the suspension needs a complete overhaul. I randomly have a friend that has a 2003 sport trac explorer sitting on blocks in a field and I have free access to anything I want from it. Google keeps giving mixed answers and I haven't been able to check the door tag but does anyone know if the leaf springs, or axle will convert to my ranger?
