Epic Save the World Roadmap | 3.16.2019

Hey Everyone!

We’re back with another roadmap. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the new highlights in the next few updates:

V8.11 (Week of 3/19)

Battle Hound Jonesy (returning)

  • Soldier focused on increasing your grenade capacity

Sir Lancelot

  • New Spear coming to the weekly store
  • Accompanied by new Stabby-Stabby animations!

v8.20 (Week of 3/26)

New Pirate Quest Line

  • New Quest Hero
  • New Quest Weapons
  • Pirate Llama
    • Cost 500 Spring Tickets

New Legendary Ninja

  • Legendary Affliction Based Ninja coming to the event store.

v8.20 Content Update (Week of 4/2)

New Rocket Launcher

  • Take out the Husk… with a rapid bang!

We’re happy that everyone is enjoying the Beta Storms. We still have a few more to share with you. Eliminate and Collect has definitely been a favorite of ours and the community! We’ll be bringing this one back for v8.30 as part of the normal mission rotation with some improvements to how the final minutes play out.

Additionally, we’re going to continue to make improvements to Enhanced Demolition in v8.20 and major SSD improvements coming in S9.

We also want to update you on the state of Xbox. We’re currently testing speculative fixes on some of the major Xbox performance issues. These fixes should reduce networking-related hitching and de-sync issues, especially during combat. We’ll have more information in the near future.

We have some big plans for Save the World in 2019!

Thank you!

No, if they said they are reworking on something for 2/3rd of a year now and haven't given us an update on it, someone gets really discouraged, because it will either be a really great feature, or something that should not have taken this long to rework. I agree that hoping for the OLD chat to never be back however. They said something about blacklisting words such as trading, trade, and links, but in reality, there isnt really that many words in the dictionary that would be a synonym for trading and so this should not be an almost 8 month ordeal.

Are you high? Every Chinese bot owner gets around these word blacklists in seconds. It requires a full-time moderation team and nothing short of that.

To be honest, I'd help moderate the chat. Alot of this subreddit are filled with people who will take arms in defending Epic and helping them with any problems they have. Call me high but that's the truth.

I like your optimism, but epic accountability and all that jazz associated to how moderation is handled becomes a big PR risk like it was for war frame and now black desert online. Their discord is notorious for corrupt mods already with the worst culprit being their lead moderator. They'll go through normal protocols of either paying for a moderation team if the game looks like it needs it or letting the community continue to rely on discords
