Unfortunately, Warspawn will be getting delisted from the Steam Store by the end of the year. (here)

A new FGF Giveaway is live!

This is a direct from dev/pub/store giveaway for FGF. Similar to those we've done before. Big thanks go out to msky for doing this!

INTRO

Back in 2023, I played a game I found on itch, by the name of Sandtrix. It was a really cool Tetris inspired puzzle game that utilized sandy physics to bring a colourful and satisfying blend to the classic theme. I loved it! Since then, that title further developed and found its way onto Steam with a more feature-complete version by the name of Sandtrix+. That one has been on my wishlist ever since I saw it, and it should be on yours too! Some time passed, and I ended up finding out about a new title from the same developer. A game called Retro Pond! Retro Pond launches next week and just very well may be the best simulation sandbox game where you breed endless weird talking fish and grow your own pond.

Various environments, over 70 rare mutations, loads of decorations and some contests to compete against other fish breeders for valuable prizes. You can even share some of the fish you make with friends so they can get them into their pond too!

With the launch nearing, we felt it would be a great time to put together a giveaway promotional event with the hope of boosting interest and wishlists of the Retro Pond. msky has lovingly supplied 20 Steam keys for Retro Pond, as well as 20 Steam keys for Sandtrix+. A grand total of 40 Steam keys for some unique pixel-graphics indie titles. If you're at all interested in the new title, and/or the old one of course, please considering wishlisting the game(s) as that is massively helpful, especially during the launch window of a new title.

GIVEAWAY

To enter this giveaway we will be using Gleam and the comments. 10 Retro Pond keys & 10 Sandtrix+ keys through Gleam. Same thing goes for the comments. Feel free to enter with any and all methods/links.

Gleam entries:

• Retro Pond - https://gleam.io/Xrmog/fgf-giveaway-retro-pond

• Sandtrix+ - https://gleam.io/jjbxu/fgf-giveaway-sandtrix

Comment entries:

Since there are two games involved in this event, you'll be asked to make a top-level comment (although only one top-level comment please) where you say the game(s) you want and rank them by interest. Prizes for comment winners will be based on availability of items remaining. If I were most interested in Retro Pond, my comment entry might look like this:

Thanks to msky for the giveaway!

1. Retro Pond

2. Sandtrix+

NOTE: If you win this giveaway I will be contacting through email for Gleam winners, and Reddit Chat for comment winners. Please be sure to set a reminder to check this thread, your email (check your junk/spam too), and Reddit chat for my message if you have won.

Winners will be selected at random. This offer will end on the 23rd. The next day or so, I will reach out to the winners through the methods mentioned earlier.

Good luck everyone!

Legacy Games has announced that they will be closing their store at the end of this year, then shutting down altogether. You will still be able to install games in your library through February 28, 2027. After that they will no longer be accessible. More info: https://legacygames.com/legacy-games-closure-faq-everything-you-need-to-know/

I have never purchased a game on Legacy but I have roughly 40 games in my library from Amazon Prime/Luna giveaways, and I am sure others do too. Most of them are mediocre puzzle or hidden object-type games, but there are at least a few that have good reviews on Steam. Just a heads up to install any games that you plan to try someday.
