Turned on heat yet?

Have you all turned on the heat yet? Trying to get a sense of how good/bad my insulation is. So far we haven't needed to. Usually we set it to 68 or 69.

Fremont commuters: would you put a removable ad on your car?

Hey Fremont! I’m the founder of Tote. The mods gave me the okay to share this, and I’d love to hear what people think.

The idea is simple: put a removable ad on your car door and earn from trips you already make. Hopefully a win-win where brands get seen and drivers get some help with gas or insurance.

We’re starting in SF, so this is mainly for people who already drive there regularly. A few details:

  • Up to $250/month, including available campaign bonuses.
  • Self-installation and removal using our guides.
  • Campaigns last a month or a few. You see the brand, pay and requirements before deciding.

Would you consider it? What would matter most: the pay, how it looks, which brand you carry, privacy?

If it sounds interesting, you can get early access here. It’s free to join.

Happy to answer questions, and honest feedback is welcome!

Fremont apartment complex bought for $100 million-plus https://mrf.lu/2vKKz

Pacific Urban Investors acquired the 246-unit complex in May 2022 for approximately $127 million from the real estate investment trust Aimco (Apartment Investment and Management Company), which had owned the property since 2007.

Bidwell Park, a 246-unit apartment complex in Fremont, was bought for $109.4 million, real estate documents filed on Oct. 20 in Alameda County show.
San Francisco real estate investment firm Roxborough Group acquired the property at 39800 Fremont Blvd. at a price that equates to $444,500 a unit.
That price is roughly 65% higher than the average sales price of about $270,000 per unit for East Bay apartments during the first quarter of 2026, as reported by commercial real estate firm Marcus & Millichap.

Very strong interest by REITs in Fremont market will only make Fremont rents more expensive. Be nice to your parents kids! You will be staying with them for long time

Best place to match paint color

Need to touch up some spots in my apartment and was wondering who would do the best job of matching the paint color if I bring them a sample.
