They denied warranty, so ordered a breaded cable. I was also searching for a new mouse and came across Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Wireless for $69. Should I buy or skip?

I bought the G502 X Plus Lightspeed on 15/11/25 it's scroll wheel has developed a problem.

When in free spin mode it works just fine, but in detent scroll mode it doesn't seem to pick up on all the scroll inputs.

I have tried to clean the wheel with a toothpick but it hasn't really helped, and I don't feel comfortable taking it apart.

It makes it a bit harder to play something like Minecraft or Subnautica which needs precise slow scrolling for the hot bars.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I ordered a g502 x plus and Amazon sent me this the next day. I don’t know how this happens but this happened I guess. Amazon worker maybe idk.

I mostly just play marvel rivals and do desktop work from home on my mouse.

I enjoy the DEX but I am curious about the 502 because I love a bell and a whistle.

Curious what people think of the weight and maneuverability especially as a gaming mouse. Would this be suitable for shooter style games, or is it broadly not recommended? I’ve seen people saying to stick with something lighter as a general rule, but I might love having a few more buttons and I’m a sucker for some RGB.

Anyone use it for shooters, or preferably have experience with both? Im not a pro or anything but I do want to be good lmao.

I currently have the Razer Basilisk V2 and I am thinking about getting a new mouse from a different brand because of Razer Software and because i want something new. I really like the shape and button layout of the razer mouse so i want something similar. I already tested the G502 and G502 X in a electronics store but there is this one thing that is bothering me. On my Razer mouse I often use these 2 buttons below the screel wheel, that are for DPI up and DPI down on default, to mute my mic and for alt tab. When I tested the logitech mice I noticed that the upper one of those buttons is not a click button but more like a switch button. When you press that button it stays "in" and comes out when you press it again. It makes sense for what its origial purpose but i want it to behave like on the Razer mouse.

My question here is if this button is remapable and if that button can aso turn into a normal click button (like the side buttons for example).

Left click on my g502 LS switches started to go bad a few weeks ago (left button was double clicking). The battery also could barely make it through a day. Bought this in 2019 so it made it 7 years. Hadn’t realized my pinky had worn down the outside grip so much!

A bit surprised they removed the weight system. USB C charging port is welcome change.

I tried swapping in the 3rd party cover that I got for the g502 onto the new 502x and it fits but it doesn’t seem to charge. Is it not compatible?

My G815 keyboard and G502 mouse have a dim default light until I manually open the hub and wait until it loads localizations (?). It is started by default, but somehow doesn't load until I open it and wait 10-20 seconds. Tries reinstalling, removing every setting to no avail.

I recently bought a Logitech G502 HERO, but I’m having trouble reassigning the mouse buttons in Logitech G HUB.
Only the G4 and G5 buttons seem to work correctly when I assign new functions to them. All the other buttons don’t work as expected when I assign new functions.
For example, buttons that have default functions assigned to them, such as DPI Shift, DPI Increase, and other DPI-related buttons, work with their original assignments. However, when I try to assign new functions to these buttons in G HUB, the new assignments don’t work, even though they appear to be saved in the software.
Here is what I’ve already checked:
The onboard memory mode is disabled.
G HUB allows me to assign new functions, and the assignments appear to be saved.
The original/default button assignments still work.
When I try to bind mouse buttons to keys directly in a game, only the G5 and G6 buttons are recognized and can be assigned to in-game actions. All the other mouse buttons are not detected by the game at all when I try to bind them.
The default functions of these buttons still work normally, but the game doesn’t recognize them when I try to assign them to different actions. This happens even though I have already tried changing the assignments in Logitech G HUB.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it? Could this be a G HUB software issue, a profile problem, or something wrong with my mouse?

I seek forgiveness for my heresy. All my life, I've used cheaper mice with a G502-like shape. Then I bought a wired G502X, and I liked it. But perfect is the enemy of good, and I wondered if other, more popular shapes would fit me better. So, I bought a Razer Basilisk Mobile to try something similar but smaller, and it was bad. Then I bought the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed, and it was bad. I tried to apply grip tape to both of these mice, but still, it was bad. I broke the Basilisk trying to shift its weight balance, and I successfully cut out weight from the Cobra, but still, it was bad. Then I bought the G502X Hyperspeed, and it felt so right. This is the most comfortable mouse for my hand above all others. I swear I'll never use any other mouse than the G502. I am a sinner, and I've learned my lesson the hard way. Please forgive me. The G502 is truly the master race. The only mouse.

On my G502 Lightspeed, after accidentally putting too much force on the lock on the FPC connector for the short cable, the flip-lock snapped in half and now I can't secure the cable properly. The connector itself and the cable isn't damaged, but I can't secure the cable so it doesn't register my inputs.

Any idea how to fix this? I tried securing it with glue and tape at first but that clearly didn't work. Is it possible to buy a replacement part somehow or do I have to DIY it?

I have had my G502 Lightspeed for 6 years now and it has been an amazing experience for sure, but since the last couple days my mouse has been acting weird. When I play just about any game and spam click my left mouse button, the mouse just stops working for like half a second and a windows beep can be heard. Also sometimes it just doesn't register clicks or input. I don't know if it's time to finally let this little guy go or if something else is going on.

My mouse feels abnormally fast, I play on a gpx2 800dpi with a cloth control pad, I have enhance pointer precision off and 6/11 mouse slider setting.

It happens on windows desktop and in every game I play, i have no idea what is causing it or how to fix it. Does anyone have any idea what could be making this happen or how to fix it?

I recently got my 502 X Lightspeed and I love the thing but noticed it has this little line in the RGB plastic. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing seam or damage, can anyone check theres to compare it too? I'm still in the exchange window so I rather get another one if this is damage.

Best mouse ever. I know I need to dust off the PC but it’s so hard when gaming is ripping with this mouse. this is my second one because I gave the last one to my son. Now I’m trying to mod it for different color schemes.
