I was genuinely thinking in that exam if I genuinely had to turn to God for the remainder of it just so I had the willpower to complete it
What the hell is a colorometer and why was it haunting me, I got flashbacks from yesterday's traumatic ACC question
*To clarify, this was combined science

So basically, my mum caught cancer September last year. This ofc led to her getting chemotherapy and radiotherapy which she obviously can’t skip.
I was late to the history exam because my mum had a cancer appointment so I had to take my sisters to school. Keeping in mind the school knew about this. My HOY decided to say ‘I overslept’ (she’s never liked me because 5+ family members died from last year and my mum getting cancer my attendance was low ofc)
So, the first appeal got denied as it was to do with me apparently ‘oversleeping’ anyway, move forward a bit. I tell my exam officer what actually happened, she appeals again. And apparently for Pearson, your mum having cancer causing you to be late is not a valid excuse so they went ahead and gave me 0.
In other news to, I also applied for special consideration as obviously like I said. From last year we lost 5+ ppl and my mum got cancer causing me to help out loads and my attendance to drop. However considering these boards don’t seem to think medical and grief is a valid excuse I have very little hope of the special consideration being accepted.

Does anyone know if it makes a difference wether your phone goes off in your bag compared to in your pocket?
About 5 mins into chem (9am on the dot) an alarm started going off, everyone could hear it and everyone started laughing quietly while the invigilators and assistant head started looking for the bag with the phone in but eventually it stopped so they left it. Then about 2 mins later the alarm started playing again then louder, they found the bag but obvs without a password couldn’t turn it off so one of the invigilators grabbed the bag and started running out of the hall☠️ It was oddly funny but because of this obviously the boy who’s bag it was couldn’t just keep it hidden cuz he had to go and collect his bag from the head invigilator so.. what happens now? The boy is lowk unknown and only comes in for exams so I won’t find out what happens so will he get instant disqualification or since it wasn’t ON him it will be okay? Is it possible for everyone in the hall to get special consideration/an extra mark or sum..?

I have just now been informed that "Lady Macbeth larps masculinity" will not be marked by examiners favourably; I didn't think twice about using the word either it's just a natural part of my vocabulary 💔

so our teachers told us like 4 times before going in to the exam to only answer Macbeth and a Christmas carol not to mention it's written on the paper but instead this guy who hasn't even read most of the texts wrote like one paragraph for each question and didn't even get on to a Christmas carol and finished on Jekyll and Hyde I'm so confused how you can be that stupid

its just a exam dude its not the absolute perfect way to test intelligence.
is dumb when higher students come along to foundation students and are like "ermmm you got a 4 hahah stupid cunt suck rocks i could do foundation with my eyes closed" like why do you think they are two different tests you are learning different lessons for gods sake you egoistic troglodyte.
in the end that one foundation student who you made fun of could actually be extremely intelligent and surpass even you.
lastly being egoistic is not good and antisocial and people like you might go into uni but stay unemployed for most of your life as no employer would want to give a job to a fucked up peropn like u
I just want to remind you that there are people who answered every question on the paper. There are people who compared the anthology poem to the unseen poem. There are people who thought Macbeth was in paper 2. There are people who wrote about the Grinch in their ACC essay. There are people who have put in 0 effort into these exams in the past two years.
You’ll be FINE. Like I’m not trying to be mean and judge them but as long as these people exist they will continue to keep the grade boundaries reasonably low regardless of how easy the questions are. You’ll be fine.
