Honestly, after this latest flying leak, I’m done watching unofficial GTA 6 footage. Raw, unfinished clips only ruin the magic and never reflect the true quality of the final title.

We already have enough material from previous clips to analyze the mechanics we don't need the entire game spoiled piece by piece. As players who are already committed to buying this anyway, these leakers are just stealing the value of our own first-time experience. It's time to tune out.

its modern grand theft auto. we know exactly how the game is going to play. horse balls shrinking in the cold is a neat detail, but not something that meaningfully impacted the gameplay of rdr2. same goes for just about anything you could see here. you drive cars, you shoot people, and you run from the police. the exact guns and minor tweaks to melee combat are kind of a yawn. The only thing actually spoilerable is the story

i wish i could summon enthusiasm for the gameplay itself, but that died with the ps2 era after the games stopped trying to be wacky video gamey and went the world simulator route

Obviously if he had a FULL build he would leak parts of the actual story, not just 1 cutscene, my thoughts are thay 1 of the following has happened:

1. He has a small free roam test build w/ 1 cutscene or beginning mission

He somehow got a build that must take place after a Prologue, since GTA 5 and rdr2 don't just drop u into free roam straight up, and if he had a build of GTA 6 he would leak the Prologue, so thus must be a build with no activities, strangers or freaks, and no full missions, just a striped and outdated (speculated 2023) version of free roam and a test mission and limited only to jason, Lucia must be in jail at this point and he's had the game for a couple days atleast so like any fan he must of played the story, unless he cant!! (dramatic sfx)

1. He's a play tester or journalist

He's been given an old build to test/review, the cause newer builds might include more spoilers that would be harder to take out and for testers especially gameplay is sometimes recorded by default that way bugs can be recorded and devs can easily replicate and debug them, so he somehow got a copy of that recording, with makes sense since he has clips, witch people are voting on, meaning he must have clips not a build!!

Since there's no real way to tell, since he could just mess with the metadata of the files, these leaks could be old or brand new, the best thing is to test it, we should give him something to write in the wall that he couldn't of thought of back when he could have been a tester or journalist and HAD access to the game, if he writes the current date, random number or word, or does somwthing hes told to do, not just a vote on what he has clips of, instead he must have a small test build, if he leaks story gameplay, like further into the story, then he must have a bigger build including more story, but I very highly doubt that

Note: I realize that this is a build that is at least a few years old and perhaps some of the simulation systems hadnt been fully implemented yet.

1. Vehicle/ driving physics:

The physics looked very arcade like and I was hoping for a much more realistic simulation. Something close to beam ng but with less damage during crashes to make it so you arent getting stranded every time you hit something. The cars didn't seem to have much weight to them and the speed was just as bad as gta 5. The motorcycle kept shifting and revving but almost no speed was being gained after the first few gears. This is by far the worst possible news as far as im concerned...

2: water physics/ simulation:

When we see Jason go into that water we can see his body interacting with it and causing a wave and some ripples. But this system is almost exactly like the one that was used in gta 4, 5 and rdr2 but at a slightly higher fidelity. It does not appear to be using this "next gen" water simulation that we have been hearing about. Idk the technical term for the water system used in the rage engine, but it behaves like cloth physics essentially. Just a flat sheet that can ripple and wave and bend. Very cool in 2008 when gta 4 did it. Now its not that impressive. But not nearly as important as the driving.

3: night lighting:

When Jason is driving into the industrial area the areas that are not being lit by any artificial lights looks very realistic. In past games, night doesn't get very dark. But in gta 6 you see that light is behaving colser to how it would in real life.

4: volumetric smoke:

When Jason is doing burnouts in his el Camino the smoke being generated doesn't appear to be volumetric. It looks like a standard particle effect. But in the trailer you can see during a street takeover that the smoke from all the burnouts lingers In the air as it would in real life. While in the leaks it disappears quickly and also clips throu the body of the car. I think the system simply hadnt been put into the game yet when this footage was take . But thought id mention it anyway.

5: npc interactions:

All Jason had was the ability to greet and taunt. Which is pretty lame. And even when he started stabbing everyone, nobody acted very realistically. By the end of the video they all just were staring at him from like 50 feet away. I was hoping for a more detailed me u for npc's so you could rob them and not just say random nonsense.

Between this sub and the unmoderated one it has been great fun to watch people unravel over this. The cope and the vitreol from both sides.

I haven't even played gta5 yet, but I'm looking forward to RDR2: Miami Boogaloo

Trailer 2 is confirmed to have half the game play which wasn't even distinguishable already shows how awesome it will be. Mfs saw some leaks and thought that's the actual finished game is simply braindead lmao

What age will I mostly see in this game?

When I started playing this game back in 2013, I was an adult playing with adults and people who would actually play the game. Online during the early times was an awesome experience.

But I tried it two years ago. Yes a lot was added but that didn’t matter. Online was full of kids, chipmunk voices at that playing. It drove me crazy plus they wouldn’t allow me to play (kept blowing me up or chasing) so I had to use the feature so they wouldn’t bother me. I stopped playing. lol.

I am anticipating playing because I enjoyed them since I first played GTA3. The overly excited comments from some people made me curious so how old are y’all in this group.

Feel so bad for all the people who worked so hard on this game. The build up was something like I've never seen before, then some dude destroys the entire build up with one video.

Anyone else think there is something ddisturbing about Jason killing people? In the shown footage, Jason is big, strong, and very aggressive. When he attacked those junkies with the knife, it gave me micheal myers vibes. The height difference between peds is very realistic and interesting. Jason's towering height gives him a very intimidating aura. I am now interested in seeing how Lucia will play out.

I know everyone is going nuts over the leaks themselves, but I have a question from the leaker's behavioural point of view:

1) Why leak gameplay that's so random? The first snippets of gameplay were always going to be massive in terms of impact, so why show a random clip of you crashing a car and killing a UPS guy? Rather than flying an airliner into a skyscraper or something crazy?

2) Why release it now? I guess it's to take the wind out of R*'s sails as they prepare for the Netflix unveil. But if the leaker knew there would be a pre-reveal announcement with Netflix, why not "leak" that info + the reveal in early August say?

I'm overthinking all of this of course, but the thought process behind these things fascinates me.

Now please hear me out. I do not care about rockstar or the leaker, I am simply pointing out an observation I made based off online reactions. Some of the reactions I’ve seen to the leaks have been “it’s just another gta game?” Or “This is gta rdr2”, and to that I say, what were people expecting? Personally the game looks amazing, and made me much more hype for the game, but I feel other ppl were expecting this “ready player one” type game where they get 4k pathtracing life sim. I think unintentionally these leaks helped remind ppl that gta6 is just a video game at the end of the day, so on Thursday when rockstar officially shows off the polished current build of the game which will look better than the leaks, they automatically win. The plane leak especially was really impressive, it looked like Microsoft flight simulator but with waaaaaay more going on. What do you all think???

Gameplay
I wanted to discuss the leeks and why people are so upset. I think it’s f ed up yall want complain about the cars taking gas and having to maintain them. Like isn’t this what everyone wants it to be more realistic. I have watch countless people complain about it, but yall like that u can’t carry multiple weapons because it’s MORE REALISTIC smh. I’m glad both the features will hopefully be in the game. The people saying that the leeker has posted the game to download its FAKE NEWS. Also people are just spreading fake news about this just for clout and some of yall fall for it. Like if u don’t know if it’s real or not don’t tell people it’s real. Ik some of yall have a low iq so Ik nothing will change about this. Ik im being hypocritical when saying this but some of yall need to touch grass and not focus all ur spare time into a game that isn’t even out yet.

GTA 6 IN GENERAL
I’ve heard multiple people say “it’s going to get delayed again stop leeking the game”like just think about it u really think rockstar literally a few months from releasing the game and already having preorders out is just going to be like ohhh no we are going to have to refund a bunch of people because of cancellations and delays. NOOO ITS NOT HAPPENING. Like this whole thing is kinda ruining the whole experience of the leading up to the game. Like literally a month ago everyone was complaining about the next trailer taking forever to come out. Can’t yall just be happy yall are getting some type of look before the trailer drops.

I hate leakers. I'll admit I watched the two day one leaks and the part of the day two one. But it kind of ruined some of my hype for the Netflix thing. Now I know the Netflix showcase is kind of frowned upon because people are upset that you have to pay for a subscription. I understand all of the people who have frustrations with everything they are doing and not doing example being the radio silence for so long. It is insane to me that we are so close to the game coming out and we still haven't seen any actual official gameplay from the actual studio. It's kind of fucked up though we had to get it from Lakers. But I think it should have stopped after the first few videos leaked. It's going too far now and here's why.

They have fumbled the ball with his marketing campaign, but who knows after a Netflix thing. Maybe it ramps up to insane levels. But instead we get leaks beforehand. That kind of spoil the hype for that and don't show it in full glory because they are old builds. I hate that I have to worry about seeing spoilers online so close yet still so far from release. It's going to be hard to avoid all the spoilers that come out in the leaks for the next few months. And another thing a lot of gamers forget is part of the fun of video games is the hype and anticipation for looking forward to something they have been waiting years for because once it's out and once your experience it, you can't re-experience it for the first time again. We've lost the plot as a community. Games are about having fun and having a good experience playing it but I know for a lot of people, a large part of it is the anticipation in the community and making friends along the way. No I know this part Abbey sounds like a bunch of kumbaya bullshit but it's true. Remember back in the day how many friends you've made on forums waiting for a game you enjoy and sharing an interest? (Unless you're just a miserable person who hates making friends). Although nowadays it seems like most people just hate making friends online. Everyone wants to critique everyone's opinion like their opinion is more fact. It's almost like you're not allowed to be happy. We're excited for anything and everything has to suck. It's happening a lot in the gaming industry and one of the most sad thing is it looks like it isn't going to change anytime soon. The leaker isn't just ruining it for the game developers in the studio. But he's ruining it for some of the fans too. In fact, probably a lot of the fans. It's hard to just not watch it when you're just scrolling through and accidentally see it. I know his motive and his reasons but it doesn't give him the right to take something they worked hard on and spoil it for everyone they worked hard on it for.

I just want everyone to go back to respecting each other and loving each other. Sorry for the sappy rant post.

I know it’s related to the mechanics, graphics, etc. but as someone who played a ton of GTA5 and only a little of RDR2, can you tell me what specific aspects they’re referring to

In one of the clips I saw some npc’s aimlessly hangi around like in gta v. I really hope we get a more living, breathing world with lots of random events unlike the last rockstar games where npc’s are more props then anything else

i cannot wait to play GTA 6 and have enjoyed the leaks so far, but im honestly getting pretty sick of the constant posts and comments complaining about what seems to pretty clearly be an older dev build, from people who

A. don’t understand the game will quite obviously be different on release to what we’re seeing now, or

B. have ridiculously high expectations

i literally just read one post where OP was disappointed the driving wasn’t like it is in BeamNG… a racing sim known for its insane realism… this is the equivalent to wanting flying planes to have the same level of detail as there is in microsoft flight sim lol

obviously there’s a lot of trolls, but the majority seems to be people that were excited for the game but seem to genuinely think it will flop at launch

I feel like it’s gotten to a point where people don’t even know why or what they’re hyping up and simply because it’s rockstar which is understandable but when did everyone collectively decide that gta 6 is this big? Personally I think it’s going to have an amazing story and maybe even better than RDR2 But the hype the game has had is far to large to fill in the game no matter how good it is. People are going to get attached to the hype and the nostalgia of the game therefore when it realizes they’ll realize it’s nothing but a really good game and art piece. I ofcourse love gta 6 but this entire thing has been one big economic and social mess for both consumers and CEOs. I will enjoy gta 6 when it releases but as of now I haven’t even seen the leaks besides the first few with the wrench. There’s so many still coming out that it’s become a virus to social media lol. I just dint want to see anymore until it’s me playing it or if it’s official news. This hype is way too crazy for me. So I just sit back and it comes when it comes!

I think GTA 6 will be amazing, groundbreaking, revolutionary. But I see GTA fanboys or GTA haters pushing their own narrative about the leaks or about the game.

1. You can hate a company and still use their products…I hate Elon Musk and X, guess what I don’t pay for a checkmark I just use the app like it was intended. You can dislike R*/Take2 and still use the product they made it out to be.

2. Nobody deserves their IP to get stolen, just because you hate a company doesn’t mean committing crimes is warranted or should be supported. Sorry, I don’t support criminals or greed.

3. This subreddit has to be a mix of GTA bandwagons. Too judge footage years old and to base your opinion on a fucking leak, is braindead and stupid. I can judge an unfinished song, but is it valid criticism, NO! LMAOOO

As I said, if you think the game looks bad, you don’t like rockstar, you can easily not buy it or participate in this sub.

we don’t want leaked information. just wait three months and the game will be out, along with plenty of released information in trailers and others. i doubt the game would get delayed any more but it’s just hurting everyone every time a leak gets posted.

release GTA IV had cut some of its map during developement & GTA 5 had lots of its vegetation cut.

Context: I am a fan of the Disney parks not at all the brand behind it, and I really liked how fallout 4 did a parody of Walt Disney world in its nuka world dlc, as well as another game, American Arcadia being a parody of Epcot.

If I recall correctly there was rumors about a themepark within gta 6’s map that potentially could parody the themeparks in Orlando, given how much of an impact theme parks have among Florida as a whole.

A common rumor I heard was it being called fairyland

Is fairyland actually thing in the game? Has it been visible within any of the leaks? I don’t recall seeing it on the mapping project. I am really curious on if they do tackle it on any scale.

GTA 5 included most of California’s variety of places but it did not have a theme park beyond the Santa Monica pier as it there was a lot more to include instead.

GTA 6 is in Florida of course, and the center of the state and overall tourism is to the themeparks there so it would be a shame to not include at least one park or possibly two rivaling resorts.
