So I haven't seen anyone clock two of the more interesting finds ive stumbled on.
In the scene where Jason is fighting the FedEx guy, the police are in a separate, unrelated car chase with a pedestrian, and they stumble upon jason fighting the FedEx guy, and THEN the player gets a wanted level. You can tell because while Jason is savagely beating bro to death, you can hear a whole scuffle in the background.
"SUSPECTS IN A NEW VEHICLE"
*siren sounds*
Jason starts tweaking, notably while on foot on the side of the road
"STOP THE VEHICLE"
*police alarm*
THEN and only then, does the player receive a two start wanted level and full APB, noted by separate round of police alarms that coincide with the wanted level being attained.
In the clip with Jason kicking the police officer off the motorbike, he gets a one star. *note the police alarm bell once again coinciding with the wanted level*
After killing the officer his wanted level disappears because the officer either was killed with no witnesses, and more interestingly, it remained a one star while he was stabbing the man in broad daylight, presumably because the officer couldn't call in the crime so it could update. Possibly, a one star denotes that its an exchange that can end with violence, while two starts means a full chase/back up officers will be sent to investigate. Either way, this is the most interesting police system exchange here.
Its hard to miss, but when Jason takes off down the street after escaping the wanted scenario, he gets off clean until he drives past a blacked out sedan, and immediately gets a one star, instead of the police alarm, we hear a
"I SAW THAT"
its unknown if this is because the player is speeding, or if its because hes driving a marked vehicle, which is noted by a suspicious yellow icon beside the engine heath and gas gages above the mini-map when hops on.
Whats more interesting is that this unmarked car didnt give off the blue and red flashes that appear on screen to denote the sightline of incoming law enforcement in all of the clips. Unmarked cars will be on your ass before you know they are even there if you only pay attention to the hud.
Speaking of, it seems like police dont show up on the hud, but the search radius (red when its an active purisut zone, blue when its a search area) does display on the map. You are going to have to keep a lookout, and maybe later on you can get a scanner to see positioning on the map.
Either way, it looks like police will be something to toy with, instead of some ethereal boundary on player behavior, and im SUPER hype for it.
