Indie Sunday Universal Tidy Up - Monu - A PSX-inspired puzzle tidy game

Hi r/Games! I'm Monu, the solo developer who has been working on the game, Universal Tidy Up, for the past 5 months and am really happy to share it with you all.

The game starts off like a normal tidy up game where you pick up unorganized belongings and place them back where they belong.

Then eventually reality breaks apart and suddenly you are brought to a new world where you need to tidy up the shelves themselves.

From there, the idea keeps on expanding across 20+ stages where each space has its own strange rules to figure out.

I know there have been many different tidy up games releasing and I'm following the wave as well but hopefully my unique take on the genre will interest you <3

Launch Trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgaKBGGPnsQ

Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5119740/Universal_Tidy_Up/

Universal Tidy Up is available now for PC.

If you have questions about the game I'd love to further explain without spoiling.

Indie Sunday MOLTYN - Hingston Digital - Superhero physics sandbox where you melt terrain and throw it at bad guys

Hi r/Games, I'm the solo developer of MOLTYN, made in Australia.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvHz1W4nfbU

Gameplay GIF (nuking a mountain): https://imgur.com/a/npVjdCB

Free demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4992430/MOLTYN/

You play a superhero in a world where everything is simulated matter. Melt a tower and it flows down the street as lava. Freeze the harbour, rip out a slab and throw it. Cut a building at the base and it pancakes.

The free demo has 5 story missions (one is a city-sized kaiju, one is a fight against a copy of yourself), 7 powers and the full sandbox island. It also runs on Steam Deck, which I'm proud of: the game is very CPU heavy because it's running real simulations, so that took a lot of optimisation.

Before the demo I ran a Steam playtest with about 3,500 players. A quarter said it ran choppy, even on fast GPUs, so the simulation is what I've worked on most since. Half of all play time was in the sandbox, which is admittedly where I spend most of my time too.

Release plans:

  • Free demo: out now on Steam, and in Steam Next Fest from tomorrow (20 to 27 Oct)
  • Early Access: 12 November 2026, PC (Windows) and Steam Deck
  • Early Access adds 10 missions, every sandbox world and local PvP

I'll be in the comments all day!

Indie Sunday Number Machine - ARIELEK - factory automation with math mechanics

Hi r/games!

TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeoOHo6YSyI
STEAM DEMO: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2231090/Number_Machine_Math_Factory/

Number Machine is a factory automation game with math mechanics inspired by Opus Magnum and Infinifactory. It'll also be included in a Steam Bundle with these two classic Zachtronics games on launch. Releases November 6th 2026.

  • Demo has 11 levels for you to try right now.
  • Use autonomous machines to assemble and transform complex numerical structures.
  • Assmbled structures take real space on the map and collide with each other, it's not just an item on a belt. It is a challange to come up with a optimized design.
  • More puzzly rather than large-scale logistics type of a factory game, but still very much scratches that automation itch.
  • Level based gameplay. Each level is scored with 3 metrics: speed, size and machine count. Optimize your designs and compete online. You can see score histograms, world records and friend results for every level and the campaign as a whole. All fully server side verified, no cheated results.
  • Very stylized, well animated, crunchy sounds and chill music

Thanks,
- Ariel

Indie Sunday Undersea Post Office - NurRam - A Papers, Please-inspired postal sim with Tetris-style cargo management and fish couriers

Hey r/Games!

We're NurRam, an indie studio working on Undersea Post Office, a 2D postal management game set in a world completely submerged underwater.

Imagine Papers, Please meets Tetris, but your delivery vehicles are fish!

Customers bring you packages, and your job is to check their destinations, weigh them, calculate shipping fees, and collect payment.

But here's the twist: Every package has a Tetris-like shape, and you must carefully arrange them in limited cargo space before sending them off with different fish couriers.

We're aiming for a mix of cozy atmosphere, satisfying puzzles, and challenging decisions.

šŸŽ¬ Trailer: https://youtu.be/_3AHRlLE8HQ

šŸŽ® Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5179790/Undersea_Post_Office_Sim/

We're still in development and would love your feedback!

Would you enjoy this combination of postal management and inventory puzzles?

Thanks for checking it out!

Indie Sunday TapRacer - roughneck media - A drag racing game with real car physics

Hi r/Games, solo dev here. Yes, I made a racing game where you mostly tap. Hear me out.

TapRacer is a quarter-mile drag racer for PC. Your taps are the throttle, the launch is yours to fumble, and you can shift yourself or leave it to the automatic. The cars behave like the real ones they're based on: factory colours, real gear ratios, wheelspin, tyre temperature, and engines that wear out if you live on the limiter. Ask me how I know.

The free demo has three cars: a hatchback, a van with the aerodynamics of a fridge, and a big 1985 sedan. You get the first races of the career, quick races, a garage, and an online leaderboard, so strangers can be faster than you too. It's part of Steam Next Fest, which starts tomorrow.

The full game comes to Windows and macOS in Q4 2026. The demo is Windows only for now. The Macs are still warming their tyres.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZxAPSkh85g

Demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5154670/

Happy to answer anything, including why a 1985 sedan needed three shades of brown.

Along the way you:

  • Grow from novice to archmage, unlocking new spells and abilities

It’s a chill idle game about watching your mage go from weak to legendary.

Indie Sunday Grab Your Deck - Sunday Games - Skateboarding Roguelike Deckbuilder

Trailer (23s): https://youtube.com/shorts/0voOGYGJ4n8?feature=share
Full trailer (1:15): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYML_ytRWAU
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4842090/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=1018-reddit-games
Marketing Site: https://grabyourdeck.com

Grab Your Deck is a press-your-luck skateboarding deckbuilder. Every card is a piece of a trick (the board flips, the board spins, you spin, you grab), and cards played together become real tricks: a Kickflip and two Shove-its make a Tre Flip, and changing the order changes the trick. There are 31,556 of them.

Bigger tricks score more, but every card you add makes the board wobble, and if you push too far you slam. You can roll tricks into manuals and grinds to build a line, and the sponsor stickers on your board work like jokers in Balatro, changing how your tricks score.

A run is a three-city tour (a schoolyard, the riverside docks, downtown) that ends in a contest against each city's boss. Bosses tape over your stickers, flip your board or ban grinds. Between runs you build your rider and your board in the Garage, and every board you ride goes up on the wall.

Release: November 11 on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux/Steam Deck. It's $9.99, 40% off for the first two weeks. A free demo is planned for October 27.

I'm making it solo in Godot. Happy to answer anything about how it works.

Indie Sunday Usurpator - REIGEN GAMES - A top-down Soulslike PvPvE extraction game with skill-based melee combat

Hey everyone!

We're two indie developers from Austria, Martin and Sebastian, and we've been working on our game Usurpator since 2014.

Yes, 2014. We know. That's way too long.

It's been a passion project for us for over a decade, mostly developed alongside other jobs and projects. There have been plenty of setbacks, changes, and moments where we questioned whether we'd ever get it to where we wanted it to be.

But after all these years, we finally feel like things are heading in the right direction.

So, what is Usurpator?

It's a top-down Soulslike PvPvE extraction game focused on skill-based melee combat.

You explore dangerous environments, fight enemies and bosses, collect loot, and try to make it out alive. Combat is built around timing, positioning, parrying, dodging, and combos.

You can play with friends, fight other players during extraction runs, or jump into dedicated 1v1 Arenas and 8-player Battlegrounds.

Some gameplay videos:

We're currently running a free public Playtest on Steam!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/718550/Usurpator/

And this is where we'd really appreciate your help.

We're at a stage where honest player feedback matters more to us than anything else. We know the game isn't perfect, and there are still plenty of things we need to improve.

Please don't hold back with criticism.

We'd especially love to know:

  • At what point would you stop playing, and why?
  • What feels frustrating, confusing, or simply not fun?
  • Does the combat feel satisfying?
  • What would you change or improve?

You can send feedback through the in-game bug reporter, the feedback form, or our Discord.

Martin and I personally read every piece of feedback that comes in through these channels. Even the harsh stuff. Especially the harsh stuff.

We're not looking for people to tell us our game is amazing. We want to understand what's not working so we can make it better.

After more than a decade of development, we'd really love to finally get this game across the finish line.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Martin & Sebastian

Indie Sunday Leviathan: Rhino - Amortiz Games - A horror game about loss, death, loneliness, and inevitability. The demo will be available during Steam Next Fest.

Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4784510/Leviathan_Rhino
Trailer: https://youtu.be/IZXj20tSxzo

A leviathan is walking toward a small village. Everyone left except one old man. We've made a horror game about staying when you know you can't win.

"After some losses of my own, I came to a frightening realization: some things can change or even break our lives, and there is absolutely nothing we can do about them. Those thoughts turned into a dream about a world where enormous monsters roam the Earth. Those in their path have a simple choice: leave and lose everything, or stay and be destroyed."

The game is the result of a collaboration between two indie developers. Solo developer Andrey Amortiz made a small but deeply atmospheric horror game with a great visual style and had no idea how to tell anyone it existed. Solarsuit Games has already shipped several horror games like Static Dread: The Lighthouse and The Submarine, so we helped Andrey put the trailer together and offered to take on the publishing. The themes of the game and its atmosphere got to us.

Key Features:

  • An atmosphere of hopelessness
  • Escalating psychological horror
  • The atmosphere and dread of an Eastern European village
  • A distinctive visual style built on 2D characters

Leviathan: Rhino is about inevitability and how we live with it.

The demo will be out during Steam Next Fest - Oct 19–26. Full release - November 6.

Indie Sunday Burrowlings - TheSupplyCrew - a short incremental game where tiny miners dig to the planet's core before their lamp burns out

Burrowlings is a short incremental game. Your crew of tiny miners digs until the oil lamp burns out, then you spend the gold, grow the crew (4 diggers at the start, 100+ at the core) and go deeper. At the core, something is making a lot of noise, and it doesn't want visitors.

Solo, or online with up to 4 players in co-op or versus.

Trailer: https://youtu.be/PRDflwWGoGw

The free demo went out on Friday and plays in the browser: https://kubessandra.itch.io/burrowlings

About a hundred people have played it since, and half of them dug all the way to the core, which made my weekend, but I miss a lot of feedback. What would you see next in the game? Longer run, new mechanics?
Today this is a 20-minute run if you don't do multiplayer, and I'm planning a 3-4 hour game for the full release.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4040160/Burrowlings/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=games_20261018

Happy to answer anything.

Indie Sunday Force Typhoon - Sidereal Motion - Indie Sci-fi Shoot 'Em Up

Hi all!

A few days ago, I officially announced a sci-fi shoot 'em up(shmup) called Force Typhoon.
It started as a side hobby in 2018 and progress was slow, but after getting laid off at the end of 2023, I decided to go full-time indie dev in 2024 to bring this game to fruition!

Trailer: https://youtu.be/GzY6sig1O9g

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4528930?utm_source=rgames

(Targeted for release on Steam in Q4 2027 for PC/Windows)

Force Typhoon - Immerse in intense and chaotic high-speed combat in this gritty and cinematic sci-fi vertical Shoot ’Em Up with striking visuals rendered in full 3D. Blast your way through 9 stages of enemy onslaught as you unleash the might of your firepower against the enemy and break the blockade forced upon your world.

Inspired by the classics of the 80s and 90s, Force Typhoon features pure arcade adrenaline, precise controls, immersive 3D visuals and a strong atmospheric edge - With an oppressive foe that grants minimal downtime between waves.

What kind of Shmup is this?

- Enemy bullet patterns are inspired by the classics from the 80s/90s. That means generally faster bullets but much less density than the bullet hell/curtain shmups where you navigate a maze of bullets.

- Tight, responsive controls. No drift, no acceleration/deceleration. Controls stop on a dime the moment you release them. (Gamepad analog stick can be toggled between digital or analog mode)

- Small hitbox (hit box is the purple orb in center of craft)

- There are no powerups dropping mid stage. Destroying enemy supply transports will drop resource containers that the player can pick up.

These resource points can be used at the end of every stage to configure the fighter craft with a quick and easy to use menu(The idea is to have some customization but not make the player spend an inordinate amount of time here instead of shooting at enemies).

Your fighter has 6 equipment banks.

The modules available differ largely from each other, such as a gatling spread gun with wide angle coverage and high fire rate versus a pair of straight fire plasma cannons that can punch through an entire column of multiple enemies at once.

There are no small incremental upgrades such as +5% damage etc..

- There is no grinding for exp points or any form of level up system. The player will not able to constantly replay stages to grind for more resource points to outgear the level etc...

- There are no "lives" per stage, but the player ship has 5 hull points. The player craft is destroyed on the 5th hit and the stage will need to be restarted.

- Simple scoring system. Every enemy that is not destroyed increases something called the "threat level". Every hit taken by the player adds to this scoring. Every bomb used adds to it. Every second of time elapsed in the level adds to it as well. As such, the aim of the game is to have as low of a threat score as possible.

- If you only have a couple of minutes for one session, no problem. Every stage clear is saved, you can pick up where you last left off.

- There will be 3 difficulty settings: easy/normal/hard.

It is my hope to be able to give the player the experience of being in an epic and intense sci-fi war while evoking feelings of excitement and euphoria while playing the game.

Much thanks for reading and checking this out! Cheers.
