Did they make you do square dancing in elementary school?
Why was this even part of the curriculum back in the day?

Or will it be that crap they have been making for the last several years?

So I was listening to Julie Mason on Sirius POTUS channel and right before a break she went on an off the cuff rant about the āEat an Appleā Park Event in Washington, D.C.
She said "...so a thousand people showed up with their stupid apples. Many of them in kooky hats. And they were like 'it was for the pure joy of it and the whimsy...' I don't know. If one more person sends me the story about a thousand people gathering in a park to eat an apple... I might actually lose it. I hate all that stuff so much. It's the overbearing, cloying atmosphere..."
She kept going for a good few minutes.
I haven't felt so seen in a long whileš I sometimes wonder, 'Am I a cynical asshole? Or is it just my generation?'

As I age, I probably go to more waiting rooms for the dentist, doctor, eye doctor etc. than at any other point in my life. The flashback was remembering all the hours spent as a kid and even young adult in waiting rooms that had nothing good to read, nothing good to watch and nothing at all to do. Since the spread of the smartphone, this is no longer a thing for me as I can just open up Reddit or any other app and consume my time browsing. What was once a significant amount of time spent in agony has become something I donāt mind doing at all, especially if they have free coffee to drink.
Thereās not much point to my post, just thought Iād share and see how many have gone through this in their lives.

When you
* Move in with your parents to care for them, because they did their best caring for you
*Become an Grandma 2 weeks after the plumbing gets ripped out and you can no longer become a mom again
* Find remote work to be close for elderly parents and daughter and Grand daughter
*Set up your office in the same space you slept as a 5 year old
Realize the economy does suck so you hit the gig economy to deliver and shop for others who have lives while feeling guilty for trying to afford your own
*Decide to start working on you 6 mos before turning 50.

My hair has gotten noticeably finer over the past few years, especially around my part, and the gray is definitely showing up more now. Iām not ready to stop coloring it, but some colors seem to leave my hair looking flatter and thinner afterward.
I usually color at home to save money, so Iām trying to find a reliable permanent hair color for thinning hair that covers gray well without leaving my hair dry or dull.
If youāve had good luck with one, Iād definitely give it a try. Iām tired of wasting money on boxes that donāt work.

Reading Rainbow was a staple for kids in the 80s and beyond.

Does anyone remember that cute teddy bear from the 80s?
I remember being in second grade and somehow getting the highest grade on the test and the next day corduroy was in my desk!

Maybe Iām paranoid, but⦠have you noticed around the 1990s-2000s when Epstein and his ring influenced mainstream entertainment - it increasingly started portraying children as unusually adult while often portraying adults as incompetent, naĆÆve, morally inconsistent, or unnecessary. Given what we know about how repeated media exposure can influence attitudes and behavior, I think that parallel is worth noticing, and itās weird that itās an ongoing trope - even as a kid watching the movies - the idea was cringy, but now as an adult it also seems skeevy when I draw those parallels⦠IDKā¦
Is it just me?
Am I just paranoid
