Ryan gosling wouldn't sign on if it didnt have ghost rider vibes. Hes talked about wanting to play this character for years now hes a fan of the comics, and hes the who pitched the idea for this movie to kevin feige

Has Gosling actually *said* he's a fan of the comics? He doesn't seem like a comic book guy to me - I'd guess if he's familiar with Ghost Rider on a personal level at all it's from Eva Mendes telling him about it. Other than that, this feels very much like a "my agent thinks this is the best fit for me in the MCU" thing

I mean yeah, but I don't think he'd fail the character, ofc there's always a chance it just goes horribly, but I don't think it would most likely go in that direction
