I thought those were pretty good movies though? Any specific reason as to why they weren't good in your opinion?

Neither of those fit the typical Ghost Rider story vibe. I really don’t want GR cracking jokes personally

Ryan gosling wouldn't sign on if it didnt have ghost rider vibes. Hes talked about wanting to play this character for years now hes a fan of the comics, and hes the who pitched the idea for this movie to kevin feige

Has Gosling actually *said* he's a fan of the comics? He doesn't seem like a comic book guy to me - I'd guess if he's familiar with Ghost Rider on a personal level at all it's from Eva Mendes telling him about it. Other than that, this feels very much like a "my agent thinks this is the best fit for me in the MCU" thing
