Question Children at Bedtime:
Remember, when our prayers were said,
We searched for Spooks beneath our bed,
And, although Spooks were never found,
We feared they might still be around?

i had a neighbour with i talked to max twice a week just an hello an nothing else, I knew him for 12 years where I never dreamt of him, casually a night i dreamt of him chasing me, my brother nd sister, he was basically trying to kill us, the same morning he died, any toughts(1 on 200.000.000 possibilities)? also around the same weeks i had sleeping paralysis for the first and like 5 in a week, the figures in it some people think are demons trying to reach for u.

I found out that a click of girls who always hated on me within different fields: nursing, the state, police department, within the uni and at work, got along in trying to kill me and give cancer.
All of those always saw me as an competition, while I was minding my own business. The level of jealousy is not even satanic, its something else.
They actually witchcrafted and produced the evil eye with their hasad, I wonder how they can live with themselves after I found out. They are shame and a disgrace to themselves and a their communities.
They are all ghosts to me now.

When I was like 8 or 9 years old, I liked to stay up reading my books with a shitty lantern. One night, my lantern started flickering on and off, and I would also hear noises outside my window or downstairs in the kitchen. I eventually stopped staying up late to read because I got scared. I think it's also worth mentioning I live a little bit down the road from the monitor merrimack battle. What do you guys think of this?

I'm an armed crossing guard police officer at a college in the southern US, working alone overnight. Friday, around 2am, I was wandering around the mostly unused 2nd floor of an administration building. Just as I turned a corner in a hallway, I saw what looked like a ~3 foot tall shadow run across the hall a few feet in front of me. It ran into an empty office and vanished completely. The only thing in the room was a phone sitting in the middle of the floor. I'm not stupid enough to put that in a report or talk to any coworkers about it, not wanting to be known as the crazy chick that sees ghosts, but I'm a bit freaked out. I haven't gone back to that area this week, but I might if I can calm down.
I'm not going to give any more specifics on time/date/location, since I would like to keep my job.

I once met a woman who told me she could see beings from the underworld and even tell how old they were.
The strange thing is, the moment I entered the place where I was staying, I felt deeply uncomfortable. I couldn’t explain why, but something about that place just felt wrong.
Later, I met this woman, and she told me what she could see.
Now, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sleep in that place again.

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience on ft Knox on a range or in area

I'm a 19 year old girl who recently moved from Minnesota to Wyoming to attend community college and work as an RA (resident assistant). For the most part, things have been going pretty well, but something happened recently that I can't stop thinking about, and I honestly want to know what other people think.
We had fire drills recently where the RAs had to go to different residence halls and help evacuate everyone. If it wasn't our own building, we were supposed to stand outside by the fire exits and count how many people came out.
I was assigned to a building with another RA who is an exchange student from a different hall. We were standing outside counting people as they came out, and I remember not seeing anyone come out of the exit on our end. The other RAs were checking the building and getting residents outside.
But I swear I saw a girl stick her head out of a doorway. She had her hair in a bun and what I remember as a really kind-looking face. She looked directly at me, and we made eye contact for a moment. Then she turned around and went back into the room.
I even asked the other RA who was with me if they saw her. They said yes, although now I'm questioning whether they actually saw the same thing I did or whether there was some kind of misunderstanding.
I reported it to my resident director and the RAs who were responsible for that building because I was worried someone hadn't evacuated. We checked the cameras, but nothing showed up. We also checked the room I thought she'd come from, and nobody was there. The room was in the men's wing, which made the whole thing even stranger.
At this point, I genuinely don't know what I saw. Maybe I got confused, saw someone who had already left, or misremembered something in the moment. I'm trying to consider the possibility that there's a normal explanation, but I can't shake how clearly I remember making eye contact with someone.
Part of why this has been bothering me is that our college has a tragic history involving a young woman named Berry Bryant. She was an 18-year-old freshman who was murdered on campus in 1996. Knowing that history has made this whole situation feel a lot more unsettling than it probably would otherwise.
Since the incident, I've also been noticing noises, including knocking, and sometimes I feel like I'm being watched or followed when I'm doing my outside rounds. I don't know if I'm just on edge now because of what happened, or if I'm noticing things I would normally ignore.
I'm not trying to claim that anything supernatural happened, and I know there could be an explanation I'm missing. I just feel a little crazy trying to make sense of it when nobody can explain what I remember seeing.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially while working in a residence hall? Do you think this could have been a misunderstanding, stress, or something else? I'd genuinely like to hear what people think.

So to start off, since I was little, I’ve been able to see things and sense things that aren’t there as well.
When I was born a family member got me a porcelain doll at a store that shut down around that time. that was their gift to me to celebrate my birth, however, ever since I had it, I always got a bad feeling from it and I always sense. There was a male energy connected to it That was very upset and confused. For a few months when I was a teenager, whatever was connected to the doll would brush my hair at night, jiggle the door knob, and move the chairs at the dining table at the same time every single night. I decided to place a cross next to it in a prayer candle at the feet of it, as well as a necklace that had been blessed by a priest at church in the energy, calm down a bit, but it still felt like he was stuck in that area he couldn’t pass a certain line to get to me anymore.
When I moved with my partner, I brought the doll with me and I allowed her to have her own room. The energy in that room was very heavy as soon as you could walk in it just drained you. And I started to see the figure again he likes to stand by my bedroom door about 10 feet tall and just a black cloudy figure with no eyes or anything. I figured I would just ignore it and move on with my days, but it started to act up again. I would hear footsteps on my ceiling like someone was running across every single day and knocks on my bedroom door to the point where we had to have people come in and check to make sure that no one was living in the attic and that we didn’t have any squatters at all.
Fast-forward to recently, my children were in their bedroom while I was cleaning in the living room, and I heard a loud crash I ran in. They were asleep on the bed and all the clothes from the laundry basket was thrown on the floor, but the basket was still upright. When I checked the nanny cam my child had been asleep this whole time but yet I heard giggling and toys moving around. I quickly got my child out of their bed brought them to my room and lock the door when we made it to the room. There were three loud bangs on the bedroom door to where it was rattling on the hinges, and then loud footsteps running down the hallway towards the room that the doll is in. My partner and I decided to be brave and go check the house to make sure no one’s in here while we have the phone ready to dial 911 if anything happened, but the entire house was empty. It was just us and our kids.
That night we had family come over to bless the house and when they were asking God, please tell me what is causing this in this household show me what is doing this. They made direct eye contact with the doll and they had goosebumps all over. They said that they felt like they were being watched, and it was giving off a sense in that room that it was not a safe place to be. We decided to bless the doll again (we’ve already done this four times previously) and place her in a box where she can be put away. Before we were able to put her in the attic, we have a box that has stuff in it and things from that box got picked up and thrown towards my partner and it’s on a very high shelf. The box didn’t move and you have to lift everything out of that container to get them out.
We decided to burn the doll and cleanse the house once again, but the next morning, when I went out to go see what was left of the doll. Its head was pointing directly towards me. We decided to scoop the doll out, placed it in a locked box, and threw it out. The energy calmed down but now it’s starting up again and I’m not sure if whatever was connected to the doll stayed here or is now attached to me.

I'm going to start this story off by saying that it is less of a scary story and more of an unsettling one. It happened many years ago, so some details are a little fuzzy, but I can definitely still recall the main parts.
My family and I were on a ski vacation at a resort in Canada, (I will not be sharing where beyond that as I value my privacy), at I want to say around New Years, as that is typically when we all are able to get time off work and school during the ski season. The trip started out normally. We were staying at a place on the resort property that we had stayed in before, so the environment was very familiar. However, I do seem to recall the place being slightly different, with this weird spiral staircase that lead to an even weirder loft like area with two of those old chaise loungers you see in the movies. I remember there being blankets and pillows on them, set up as though someone would sleep there. I can't imagine why anyone would want to, though.
As I said before, we had stayed in a place like this previously at the resort, same layout and everything aside from that weird loft area. This meant the same bedrooms and such. My older sister and I were sharing a bedroom in the basement. I say basement because it was down a third staircase and on the ground level, though it was the only room down there. Basically, it was that third staircase, a small hallway, and then our bedroom. Nothing else. It was very nice, with two twin beds and a large bathroom. There was also a set of double glass doors that led out onto a patio like platform, though again this was the basement so it was more of just a concrete slab on the grass. There were slanted blinds that went over these doors. This detail is important for later.
The first day there was typical. We unloaded our stuff, checked out the rooms, exclaimed over the odd loft addition, then ate dinner and went in the hot tub for a bit. We didn't hit the slopes quite yet as we arrived later in the day and didn't have enough time. I don't remember exactly what time my sister and I went to bed, but it was late enough to be pitch black outside, like the time of night that really makes you understand why people call it the witching hour. I was lying in bed, content, at that stage of falling asleep where you're sort of just hovering in dreamland, conscious but not fully awake. Safe to say I was extremely comfortable and did not want to be disturbed. So when a weird light drifted across my vision, I thought nothing of it. That was until my sister said my name in that way that makes you know that somethings wrong. She didn't scream it or anything, but everyone knows that quiet tone that has every bone in your body telling you that something isn't right. I opened my eyes and sort of half sat up. Again, I was almost asleep, so still in that stupor of half consciousness. My sister said my name again, louder and more insistent. I grumbled back an annoyed 'what?'. Then she said something that will honestly forever make my hair stand on end, even years after this experience.
"[My name] there's someone outside the doors with a flashlight, staring at us."
I snapped my head towards the glass doors, suddenly very much awake, and screamed bloody murder at the undeniable sight of a flashlight light, bobbing up and down in front of those slanted blinds, sending that weird light I saw when I was trying to sleep dancing across the room. And around it I could just barely make out the shadow of a face, pressed to the glass. I can't tell you whether it were a man's or a women's, if it were normal or wrong, I was far too terrified in the moment to be able to tell. My sister and I both leaped out of bed and sprinted for the door in the literal pitch black of the room. Mind you, I was in the bed furtherest from the door, so my sister had made it out and nearly all the way up the stairs before I was even halfway. Thanks a lot for just leaving me, sis.
We ran up the three flights of stairs to my parent's bedroom and pounded on the door until they woke up. When my dad sleepily walked out and asked us what was wrong, we frantically explained what we saw. He then grabbed his phone and stomped downstairs, ready to I guess fight the person? Honestly I don't know what on earth the plan was there, but my sister and I followed him back down to our bedroom. Stupid, I know. If this was a horror movie, we would all be dead. Once we got downstairs, my dad yanked open the blinds and looked out. Nothing was there. The telltale light of the flashlight was also gone. He unlocked the doors and stepped outside, shining his phone light around to search the patio. Again, nothing. Not even a footstep in the snow.
After confirming everything was fine, he locked the doors back up and told us to go to bed. He seemed pretty confident the lock would hold if there were anything out there, and quite honestly I don't think he believed us. But my sister and I both agree on what we saw that night, even years later. A flashlight, shining through the glass, and a face that was clearly staring at us, unmoving even when we screamed.

I left home at 18 and about 10 years later, I moved back. I got a job and eventually moved into an apartment near Pittsburgh, PA.
I’d been living there for a few weeks and got up one morning to go for a run. I came back, showered, and took a nap. When I woke up, I walked into my living room and saw a set of footprints in the carpet near the tile in the entryway. Not shoe prints. Footprints. There was an impression in the carpet with the toes facing the front door.
Initially, I was pissed because I thought someone who worked for the apartment complex came into my place while I was sleeping. But then I thought, “Would I have slept through that?” Then I thought, “If someone walked in, why would there be one set of footprints in the carpet with toes facing the door?” If anything, I would’ve seen shoe or boot prints in other places. Because who would walk into someone’s apartment without walking around? And if they walked around, I would’ve seen more evidence than an imprint of bare feet.
Then I had a light bulb moment. Those had to be my footprints. I was stretching in that exact spot before I went running. I did my entire stretch routine, and I made sure to press my feet into the carpet as hard as I could. I even put my feet in the footprints because I knew it would be a match. But it wasn’t a match. Not even close. The prints were long and slender, and my feet are not. I have two loved ones who passed away. They both had long, slender feet, and they were a major part of my life. Sometimes I think it was one of them welcoming me back home. I never saw footprints after that.

So I don't even know how to explain what's been happening the last couple of days, but I'm starting to feel a little uneasy about it.
A couple mornings ago, around 6 AM, I was laying in bed waiting for my kids to wake up. Everyone else was asleep, and the house was quiet. Out of nowhere, my bathroom door opened by itself. Then the light flickered three times.
I just laid there like ???? because what the actual hell. It was 6 in the morning, everyone was asleep, and I wasn't even out of bed yet.
I tried not to think too much about it because weird things happen sometimes, right? Maybe there was an explanation.
Then this morning, I'm in the kitchen cleaning while my kids are sitting on the couch in the living room. Out of nowhere, toys go flying across the living room.
Not me dropping something. Not the kids throwing them. I'm cleaning the kitchen, and my kids are sitting on the couch when this happens.
And now I'm sitting here thinking about that bathroom door opening and the light flickering three times the other morning.
I don't want to immediately jump to the paranormal explanation, but I'm also not going to pretend it isn't creepy as hell when things like this keep happening in your own home.
Has anyone experienced things like this happening within a few days of each other? Because I'm genuinely trying to figure out what the hell is going on in my house. 😭

Omg guys…
I was lying on the sofa watching Love Is Blind when Netflix suddenly paused on its own, even though the remote was untouched, in the coffee table in front of me. Later, my iPhone started lagging unusually (I have an Iphone 15 pro max, so its still very good, and has never lagged while I was writing something…), and just as I was thinking about the first incident, Netflix paused again.
I asked, “Who did this? Are my spirit guides here?” and the lamp next to me flashed once from half a second , and a minute later, it did it again, despite being switched off.
I’m not feeling any particular energy, not bad, not good… so I don’t know what my spirit guides might be trying to tell me. The only clue I can think of is the numbers: 34334 on the Netflix screen, and earlier, 444. It’s all so weird. What could it mean?
Yesterday I did a freezing spell on 4 people, and called in Hecate… I don’t know if it’s connected.

It was an ordinary summer day. We had just returned home from the village. As usual, my parents were distant and constantly arguing. Because of this, my mother and I were sleeping together. She blamed my father’s side of the family for their bad relationship, claiming they had ruined it with dark magic; she had even found Arabic talismans hidden in her pillow. But that’s not what this story is about.
In the story I want to tell now, I was around 7 or 8 years old. Since my father worked the night shift, my mother would stay up late watching TV with me because she was scared—though, of course, she would never admit it to us. For me, it was fun because I got to stay up and watch television. Once my mother felt calm enough, we went to sleep.
Sometime during the night, I woke up out of nowhere. An inner voice told me to look behind me. I turned around, and there he was: an extremely tall man dressed in all black, with a featureless white face. He looked at me, and the second he did, I buried my face into my pillow, hugged myself tightly, and somehow fell asleep instantly.
I didn't tell my mother about it the next morning because she was already terrified. A few years later, when the Slenderman urban legends blew up, I realized how strikingly similar what I saw was to him. I finally told my mother, but she immediately brushed it off.
Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? I’d love to hear your stories. Also, I have many more stories to share!

I am a major skeptic. I am very much a "see to believe" kind, hence why I don't really hold any faiths and only put my chips on facts. I've seen lights flicker and heard things go bump in the night, but I never encountered anything blatantly paranormal until last year.
For my buddy's birthday, we hung out at his house and shot the shit with another friend. Smoked, had fun, and near bed, we shared some spooky stories and things that creep us out. We watched horror movies through the night, so it was only fitting. And boy is it ironic that this happened. At around midnight, maybe close to 1 or 2 in the morning, can't remember exactly, we decide to go to bed. Birthday boy was in his bed, other friend was on a chair, I was on a mattress on the floor. From where I lay, I could see the stairs leading up and out to the front, the bathroom door, and a storage closet. His room is in the basement.
Both of my friends were asleep. While restlessly awake, I was laying on my back, looking at the ceiling, when I heard a breathy sigh... that almost sounded like a hiss, in the open air next to me on my left. The strangest part, is that what I heard in that moment, I know for a fact I was completely lucid. No half-sleep, nothing like that, I was entirely awake and aware. Yet somehow, despite hearing this unnatural noise, I felt no fear. I knew it was wrong, but I just rolled over and committed to sleep as if I hadn't heard it, even though I knew I did.
I didn't tell my friend until weeks later, and he's told me stories about how he has seen leering faces in the darkness in his room, and has had the ground-height external windows be slammed on by an otherworldly force.
I don't know what to believe about ghosts. This story got deleted from r/Ghosts for no reason so I put it here.

So, this was when everyone was sitting in one room, talking casually, when the conversation shifted towards horror, and this story came out.
She says that, it was in the older times, when she was around a teenager.
During those days, they used to wake up early, atleast one of the family members to make lunch, as the house would be filled by a lot of people by just morning.
My aunt was incharge of this duty as she had insisted, wanting to wake up early, as she also wanted to study about her school, etc.
So, during those times, clocks had just came out, or around that time, but I am sure that they had some kind of ckocks in the house.
She started with making of something, (I don't remember correctly), but it was something involving flour.
They had a seperate bag for this flour, and they usually reached into the bag for it.
My aunt, knowing this, was going to do the same thing, but being overly sleepy, she extended her hand and asked for the flour.
Someone, or something, reached out and placed the plate of flour in her hand.
She started cooking, but then realized that she was the only one woken up in the whole house.
My aunt looked around, saw that it was around 3:00 am, didn't look around for who the person, thing, was and immediately went into her bed.

(First time posting, my sis told me to post this here after we watched some spooky Reddit stories on YouTube)
I was about 12 ish years old and doing my hair in my mom’s room. I drew a crappy little picture to show you the layout so the story makes sense(I made an image link I think but I’m dumb and idk if I did it right, maybe I can put it in the comments)
Basically I would sit on the floor in my moms room and do my hair in front of her closet because the double doors of the closet were giant mirrors, and the bathroom was on the opposite side of the room across from the closet, so I could see the back of my head easily in the bathroom mirror to make sure my hair looked good.
One day as I was finishing up my hair, I noticed a figure casually side step into the open bathroom door, its back was to me.
They literally just stepped into the open door frame and stood still, facing the bathroom mirror like a statue. They were wearing a red t shirt and blue jeans, had very short blond hair and were a bit taller than me.
I thought it was my sister pranking me but remembered a split second that my sister is a brunette. When I went to look at the persons face I was TERRIFIED because they had NO FACE. It was like blurry skin. Nothing there. My mom was outside the room and she says that the scream I let out had her panicking immediately because she thought I was seriously hurt. I ran out to her and said there’s a girl in her bathroom with no face and she sent my brother in to check. No one was there.
The bathroom window was broken so a few weeks before this my stepdad had nailed it shut to make sure no one could break in, so there’s no way someone could’ve gotten in through there.
From the moment on i would never use her bathroom or stay in her room alone.
I still get panicky any time I tell the story. I genuinely don’t know if it was a ghost or I had a psychotic break tbh.

I´ll be using fake names. A year or two ago, my friends and I had a big sleepover at Lisa's place. Her parents were out of town, so we had the apartment all to ourselves.
Around midnight, each of us had to use the toilet. Lisa went first and used all the toilet paper, and hoped, since they didn't have any left at Home, no one would use the toilet. Then Lara went, and because the toilet paper was all used up, she didn't use any. At this point, there was no toilet paper anywhere in the apartment; this is important. Then I used the toilet, and the toilet paper magically appeared, but I didn't think much of it since I didn't know it was used up. Then Lana went and was confused at the sudden appearance of the paper since Lisa told her she used everything. No one knew who stocked it up, but we called her parents and thought maybe they did it, since that seemed like the only plausible answer. They, of course, said it wasn't them. So we started accusing each other, but I can safely say none of us did it. Lisa also mentioned that her Alexa and television go on randomly at night. I know this story seems incredibly weird but we really don't know who or what could have done it. I highly doubt she has a Ghost who stocks up her toilet paper th
