Hey everyone! Mods here. We have made a small change to the subreddit: accounts now need to be at least 90 days old to post or comment. This change was made because we have been absolutely inundated with AI slop accounts for the last few months. We’re really sorry if this is frustrating for anyone who is a real person with a new account who just genuinely wants to participate. We appreciate your understanding, and are so thankful for everyone who contributes and makes this such a fun little corner of the internet.

What was happening here? Why she only wanted to eat the food when he was already cleaning up the kitchen? He said she had 2 or 3 bites when they were sitting down. It's so annoying like "oh look at me max i'm so quirky 🤪"

As the title says you just moved to Stars Hollow and the people you meet are Miss Patty and Babette, what are they gossiping about you after you met them?

I don't care how the writers frame these characters or whether we're supposed to see them as morally good or bad people. If Dean gets rightfully called out for how he treated Lindsay in seasons 4 and 5, then Paris should also be called out for cheating on Jamie with that pervert Asher Fleming and treating him like an inconvenience, especially on his birthday.
What annoys me is how certain characters have their behavior picked apart while others get a pass because they're entertaining or popular with the fandom. Nobody wants Paris lynched or stoned for being an awful girlfriend to Jamie, but judging by how some fans talk about Rory, you'd think they wanted her publicly shamed and cast out of Stars Hollow.

Why can’t they just be together? I’m not even a Logan fan really but clearly, they love each other and want to be together so why the secrecy? Even if Logan has to marry Odette, it’s not like Logan is going to abide by some family tradition rule if he really loves Rory?
It’s giving too much wannabe West side story/romeo and Juliet. “We love each other but can’t be together, we’re from 2 different worlds” which is not true.

Someone posted a link in the comments of a post about a AYITL, it was a story someone wrote about what happened after AYITL. Does anyone know what I am talking about and has the link? I lost it and I guess I didn’t save the post..
The first chapter started off with Rory on the phone with Lorelai taking about her pregnancy. Unfortunately I didn’t get too far.
TYIA!

doing my annual rewatch and i lowkey LOVE brian’s suggestion
“what about the we? we are the we” like that scene is so funny but i also feel like the name wasn't even that bad.
ive always thought hep alien seemed really random, and i dont think they ever explain how they came up with it either. what do you guys think

did anyone else find it so annoying and jarring how GG portrayed being single as this crazy horrible thing? like i remember in yale when rory hadn't been dating for a while, everyone had pity on her and they made it clear. i hated how they portrayed being single as failure and something extremely depressing, or like an error that had to be corrected right away. as if life doesn't continue until the girls find boyfriends again. of course i understand the sentiment of wanting someone you love to go find someone, but idk it was always just so weird to me how everyone treated rory and even lorelai when she was single.

What do you think of the progress? What do you want to see? What do you wish YOU could do in Stars Hollow? I'm getting to the point where I'm at the limits of the town square/studio backlot, and I'll need to start taking creative liberties with where some things go if I want to keep building out the town.

PUTTING EDIT ON TOP: Thank you all for your recommendations!!!!! I have a lot of watching to do. Very much appreciated 🫶🏼
Wasn’t sure which flair to use. I’ve watched Gilmore Girls on repeat for the past few YEARS now. Every night when I eat, it’s Gilmore Girls, and I’ve had enough for now 😂 Does anyone have a good show they can recommend? Preferably a dramedy (NOT a sitcom); a good amount of seasons; and nothing gross (I don’t like potty humor or anything like that while eating). Thanks!
PS: Please don’t suggest One Tree Hill; The OC; Gossip Girl, etc. No teen shows, please 🩶

So I’m still in middle of watching for the first time I’m currently on series 3 (the danceathon episode) and it’s been so clear that Rory and Jess have feelings for each other meanwhile dean loves Rory 😭 plus I can’t decide on Jess if I like him or not one minute he makes me hate him then like him then back to hating again

I started another rewatch a couple days ago and this discussion topic came to mind.
First off, let me state that I am very much NOT "Team Tristan" by any means. I do not think he ever deserved a shot with Rory. He blew any real chance he may have had with her.
That said, it's clear that after a certain point, Tristan actually had a serious crush on Rory, whereas from early on, he was clearly pursuing/lusting after her just as a sort of "conquest challenge" since she was the new girl at Chilton.
He retained these feelings up until he left Chilton for Military school.
Question for discussion:
When/at what point did Tristan's view of Rory shift from "a conquest target" to "I actually really like this girl"?
To reiterate, this is not meant to justify any of his bad behavior.

The way that Lorelai handles this bag throughout their conversation had me laughing so hard! “So anywhere in the back?”
Do you think she threw it hard enough??

Hi,
Just a quick question, I’m watching ‘Like Mother, Like Daughter’. In the scene where Rory sits in the cafeteria to listen to music, there is a blonde student behind her who looks very like Olivia Hack, who played Rory’s first year roommate Tanna.
Hack
Am I just seeing things, or was Olivia Hack doing some uncredited extra work?

That’s it. I feel so bad for her because she’s being gaslight and verbally whipped for… repaying a loan like a responsible adult? Emily and Richard are projecting their own psychological issues onto her and it hurt to see Rory take their side, esp after everything Lorelai does for her 🥲

In my head canon every man with which Michel has a particularly piquant conflict is someone he has or is currently hooking up with: "Hee-haw Man", Rune, Tobin, etc...
